This company is now heading to Court They are holding misleading information regarding my credit file despite my providing Court information to the contrary Frankly companies like Transunion should not be allowed to operate I will be asking the Court to suspend their business The only way to deal with such criminal companies is to sue for substantial redress

What a joke this company is You cannot create an account to dispute anything because AS they say your information does not match theirs Ha-ha So where did you steal my information from because I never gave it to you and now you say my REAL information doesn t match your FABRICATED information Transunion you really suck at what you are suppose to do help customers access and correct misinformation on their credit report Instead YOU BLOCK CUSTOMERS OUT BASED ON INFORMATION YOU GATHERED and or STOLE FROM SOMEONE ELSE and then you expect us to know what the source is that your using for comparison purposes and what information is actually different If I could I would wish for this company to cease to exist What an absolute waste of time space and energy to have to deal with such a monstrously self serving organization as yours XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXToday Transunion lowered my score guess they don t like bad reviews right Hmmm Ha Ha Ha

Shoot me now
I spent 6 hours today trying to set up my account And it will take another 30 days at least We were given a free 2 year subscription due to a data breach When I tried to sign up I coildn t use my email address as I had had an account in the past They discovered my home address was also wrong - after living here for 30 years and previously having an account with them I now have to open a dispute to rectify the home address which takes 30 days and then will still have to deal with the email issue Meanwhile my identity might be compromised Yet my husband called had the same issue and they resolved it over the phone - no idea why they could change his home address last week but no one can do it this week

Incompetent understaffed unresponsive unfit for purpose
TransUnion wiped my credit file when I became registered on the electoral role My local council had issued me with a slight change to the first line of my address according to what they said the official name of the property had to be I e from Flat 17 Burnley Road to 17 Burnley Road Experian and Equifax had absolutely no issue with this and just updated their records accordingly Transunion decided to wipe my credit file completely due to this amend on the electoral register I called them and wrote to them to request they fixed it and they got back to me after 4 weeks requesting proof I was on the electoral register I promptly sent it to them and have chased them twice in follow up over the 6 weeks following that and have heard nothing back These guys are appallingly bad as a credit ref agency

TU Makes It As Hard As Possible
I recently tried to get my free annual TransUnion credit report online the easy way but was not able to do so Instead I had to fill out and mail a form A couple weeks later I got my credit report and noticed that it said that if I wanted to permanently opt out of promotional lists i e they sell your data I had to get the Notice of Election form Said form is not available online you have to call or write to get it After three phone calls I wasn t able to get by their automated system so I had to make the request via snail mail My experience tell me that TransUnion is making it as difficult as possible to do things that benefit the individual

TU does not really believe in security
As I write this I m on hold with TU for the 2nd time Why - because they are running an identity protection campaign for a company that got hacked Signed up and immediately got an email saying I m locked out Turns out because I used a VPN To state the obvious a company supposedly concerned about keeping data safe won t allow access via VPN So I get an email with a temp password to allow access after they reset my account Only there is no temp password just the boilerplate and a blank line Hence my 2nd lengthy hold Turns out they are having technical difficulties I ask to be sent a reset once fixed They can t do that Maybe I can call back tomorrow or the next day is the best they can offer NICE

In attempting to unfreeze my credit
In attempting to unfreeze my credit report temporarily the website says they aren t currently able to show the status of my credit freeze Every time I ve tried to do this over the last five years I ve gotten the same thing Yesterday the chat agent said they unfroze my credit but the store says it s still frozen Back on with a new agent today Same issue with their webpage Seems it would be cheaper for them to have a webpage that worked rather than make me go through a real person every time

No customer support
There is no customer support Their website is broken Identity Verification Failed Failed safety check What verification What safety check I called and was placed on hold for more than 30 mins before I gave up They didn t give any indication either how long the hold time was going to be They have no e-mail support No live chat Nothing This is what happens when there is no free market no competition What s wrong with America This is the level of service I would expect from the communist Soviet Union Shameful

Customer service NIGHTMARE - TRANSUNION
Customer service NIGHTMARE When trying to set up an account with TransUnion I was on hold for 3 hours and 45 minutes the first time and 1 hour 45 minutes the second time These people barely speak English have no management and the company is severely understaffed Quite frankly nobody gives a damn at this company I was trying to help my elderly parents register for myTrueIdentity and was only able to register one account in a single call so I ll have to go through hours more for their static-laden hold music before I get through to an inhumane and rigid staff member Stay away from this horrible organization
