The employees at Barclays USA exhibit unprofessional and impolite behavior
The behavior of the staff at this bank is both unprofessional and offensive I have never encountered disregard dismissiveness and rudeness from a service team toward customers It is unacceptable to refer to this establishment as a bank Such conduct has no place in our country Perhaps the staff should return to the UK and treat people poorly there In the United States we do not tolerate such behavior

I purchased airport parking and shuttle
I purchased airport parking and shuttle to and from the offsite parking lot for an airport in Charlotte NC for my July 4th vacation Long store short the company did not pick us up and shuttle us back to our car on the return end of our trip We had to call and pay for an Uber I did a charge back because they did not fulfill the agreement Barclay s customer service is awful When making credit card purchase it is just as important to have a credit card company that will stand by you and provide support to you as it is needed This is not Barclay Barclay sided with the company that I paid to provide me shuttle I got no help from Barclay

Barclays does NOT back their cardholders
Despite proof that linenlocker agreed to give me a refund for merch in the wrong color if i provided the tracking for the return barclays refused to support me and left the charge on my account claiming that they left me voicemails which i did not receive i no longer use this card not trusting them to support their cardholders

One of the most expense cards on the market designed to keep Barclay Bank margin of profit record breaking Barclays plays with your credit score by lowering it without notice or closing your account without notice even when you are not late on payments and have a balance under 250 Barclay does things like this to reduce your credit score and to allow it to raise your interest rates as the debt to income increases as they deliberately reduce your limit Say no to this credit card Bad choice Do not trust them

Terrible experience with Barclays
As a part of the credit card application process - which has now taken over a month and is still ongoing - Barclays requested and then apparently mishandled sensitive information drivers license social security card bank statement IRS 1040 I explained I was nervous about sending in this documentation pretty much everything someone would need to steal an identity The security department assured me it would be safe but somehow the wrong fax number yes fax number was included in the documentation request letter - so who knows where some of the documents went I asked about it and no one in customer service could give me a straight answer It could be incompetence - most of the people I spoke with struggled with basic job knowledge and the English language But I am worried that my personal documentation has not been appropriately tracked or safeguarded Also every time I call they say I just need to send or resend another document It is worrying that they are asking for documents again after previous customer service said they were received and fine How are these documents being files How hard is it to verify someone s identity I am calling on a phone registered under my name The whole process has been maddening I have never gone through anything like this - my credit is nearly perfect I wanted to use this card to rack up miles to use on Lufthansa but it is not worth the insanity The incompetence is astounding Don t bother applying for this card - you ll be releasing a lot of sensitive documents to an entity does not seem to have strong effective information management protocols Also they ll just keep asking for more and more so if there is a security breach you will be completely vulnerable I m actually writing a BBB complaint on this because the Bank is asking for much more information than it needs to make a determination judging by my experience with other credit card companies As a result they are putting customers at risk

I was scammed by Barclays
I was scammed by Barclays They issued me a credit card and then they put 10 000 worth of fraud on it Their fraud team were horrible and ended up stealing the funds Sickening what these ppl can do to you Do NOT sign up with any of their products They do not care about Americans

NO CONSIDERATION FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS
They updated their website The instructions on how to get into the new site did not work After 20 minutes of trying I phone them The agent sent me to a completely different url that had the same procedure Because I usually use my fingerprint to login I could not recall my password She advised me to change the password I entered a new password a new error screen came up At that point I just hung up Close to an hour wasted I still cannot access my savings account I ll try again after a few days I will close my account

Never follow up on fraud
Ugh After several years I have had so many issues with their staff or custoemr support And I just had the third fraudulent charge on my credit card in a a numebr of years Barclay s started an investigation into all three and then within days I got a letter in the mail saying they cancelled my dispute As if the day I spoke to a rep on the phone the cancelled it immediately and didn t even bother to look at the evidence I had I don t just hate this bank they literally have helped people steal from me Three times

Pushing customers to do online banking
Barclays seems to be coercing customers to do more online banking To make matters worse they have some of the most deficient customer service agents whose English skills are about the worst
