Worse customer service sales man wouldn t even call back after leaving multiple messages Car came with a fault on the seat which cost me 240 to be fixed The Car was full of black tar mark and inside was Dirty after being told the vehicle was in being valet it I have to get it professional cleaned myself at a costAlso bold tires which I replaced I have also received multiple emails and call since I put up my review Asking me to delete

Don t be fooled by the 5 star reviews The sales team are great and can t do enough for you but once you ve bought the car they don t want to know if you have a problem Mark the MD will only contact you if you leave a bad review and he insists on having all negative reviews taken down hence the 5 star rating By far the worst experience I ve had purchasing a car and would never use again

Their aftercare is terrible and they don t care about you

I bought a Skoda Octavia VRS estate 2 0l engine from these guys When I got in the car it had 0 diesel in and I mean 0 - which is obviously terrible for a diesel engine I thought maybe they forgot and I filled it up then set off home to Durham By the time I got home the DPF light had came on and the oil warning light came on There was basically no oil in the car and it was trying to regenerate the DPF it still does every single time I drive I left them an email and got a call from their service warranty mechanic He said bring it down and they ll have a look When I mentioned the oil to him he said we don t fill it up fully cause once you start driving it it usually has too much in - I m sorry but what You can t even get the oil level right No that s rubbish It s because the car is using oil So what is it Carmotion Do your mechanics not know how to fill a car with oil or are you lying about the oil usage Either way it just makes you sound like a fool So they ignore the oil problem but say they ll fix the DPF - they took the car for over a week and said they ve cleaned the DPF - it really needed a new one though One day after I get it back the DPF light appears on my dash and the car is still actively trying to regenerate the DPF every time I drive I email them again and get ignored for weeks still haven t got a reply I ve opened up an official complaint with the finance company who are great and sending out an independent engineer to inspect and write a report on the vehicle During this time more problems have surfaced - the coil plug light appears as the turbo tries to kick in and it goes into limp mode - their mechanic told me they fitted the turbo which also has an error code supercharger underboost So you can t even drive it up a hill without it going into limp mode It happened on the a66 as I was overtaking someone It s really dangerous The engineer is arriving today to collect the car - I have faith I ll win as I ve recorded all of this evidence and communication with carmotion If not I will be going to small claims - I won t be bullied and fobbed off Don t bother getting involved - if you do have problems with the vehicle they will do anything they can to avoid it and ignore you or do the absolute minimum which doesn t resolve the issues at hand Seriously what kind of mechanic says out loud that they didn t put enough oil in What a literal joke P S the previous owner left notes in the owner s manual book listing the problems and telling me to check the car history Maybe you should check those before you sell shoddy vehicles in future Best regards Thomas Edit Don t listen to the response it s not genuine - I emailed them with the issues after they failed to fix the car and they have never once called or emailed back to talk about it They ignored me I gave them two weeks to respond before contacting the finance company and opening an official complaint Instead they replied to this review because they re trying to save face - don t get involved with them I have no sympathy for them and they don t deserve your business I m sure they might sell some good cars of course but if they sell you a bad one - don t expect them to try their best to help I m not normally this opinionated I shook the mechanics hands and tried to be polite after the first problem they tried to fix Mistakes happen after all Ignoring me for over a month is no mistake They aren t sorry - they re sorry that it hasn t gone in their favour If they were sorry they d have called me straight away and discussed rectifying the issue I m honestly gutted because I loved the car and the sales team seemed really nice Edit 2 They re trying to get the review pulled Trust pilot has asked for proof of documents to ensure it s a valid review I ve sent trust pilot the documents Don t trust this company They still haven t tried to make any contact with me They do NOT care about you or any broken vehicle you buy from them Go find one elsewhere it ll save you a massive headache

Terrible service and fraudulent sales

I got a car from these guys in feb and they couldn t give me a test drive which should have been the 1st red flag Then I drove the car immediately realised that there was something wrong with the clutch and the gearbox the rear camera was blurry and the driver door would not close called them and told them which they said they will fix it I was very patient at this point and understanding because hey things happen with second hand cars Took it to the garage and they fixed it and asked about the camera since it was blurry which I was told there isn t nothing they can do The camera is a cosmetic thing if I want them to fix it it will be 500 and they won t as I should expect some things not to work with a second hand car I took my loss like a big woman and kept quiet Then drove the car as they had apparently fixed the gear issue but the car was still doing the same thing I called them which they said bring it back I took it back Now here is where all the rude treatment and gaslighting happened now I went to collect my car these people tell me they didn t fix anything as there s nothing wrong with the car and 4 people drove it and there was nothing wrong with the car They said they even took it to Renault to get checked and they didn t find any issues That s the point I realised I wasn t winning this argument and I am not a mechanic and I can t argue with these people as I know nothing about cars So I took it to a garage they did a diagnostic test as I was very concerned at this point about the whole car and the treatment I received and I didn t trust them The diagnostic came back with over 20 faults on the car Took it to Halfords for MOT the car failed MOT bare in mind apparently it passed MOT 3 months ago Then took it to another garage for a 3rd opinion as at this point I was like I need proof that I am not crazy the car had a fault garage found the same faults Managed to raise a complaint with the broker and the finance company which they refused to take their car back and had an independent engineer do the test again and it came in my favour 3 months the car was collected cleared my name with the finance but now I am waiting for my deposit back and it s been almost 4 weeks no money back and no one is calling me back If I say don t buy a car from these people it s an understatement they will gaslight and not help at all It s not worth the hassle and the terrible service Stay away from this garage they will sell you cars that are not even meant to be on the road Horrible company I want my money back All of it It I can give me -100 stars I would Edit please where is my refund that you claim you have given back And in regards to the fault please explain how I found over 20 faults with your car after you had taken it to Renault So let s not pretend you agreed to take the car back as a gesture of goodwill as if that was the case I wouldn t have had to go through complaints and having an independent mechanic do it So no you didn t do me any favours instead you inconvenienced me greatly and continue to do as I have not received my refund and I was stuck with a car that failed MOT when I was supposed to have a car If I could upload pictures for the MOT certificate and the diagnostic report I would to show you that what you are saying Mark is untrue completely I want my refund it s been almost 4 weeks since you received your car and I have been very patient So please don t add to my annoyance by telling me it is a gesture of goodwill There is no goodwill here after I came to your shop so many times and I was dismissed So please spare me the goodwill nonsense I just want my refund and be done with you guys and make sure no one goes through this If you feel like you need to contact me you have my details but I would be surprised if anyone did contact me now as you failed to do when I was having issues and being ignored Lord I am

IF I COULD HAVE GAVE THIS -100 STARS I WOULD HAVE

Came to browse Car motion left to look at our leisure no harassment from sales men Then we had the pleasure of meeting Nick he was kind helpful and a pleasure to speak too He made our sale stress free and easy I would like to take this opportunity again to thank Nick for all his help and kindness he s such an asset to Car motion Amanda R UPDATE 15 02 2024Scrap the above as from the 12th January 24 my views on Car motion have totally changed for the worse Honestly wish id never set foot in this garage don t get me wrong at the time Nick was good but I suppose a potential sale there all gonna be My Kia Sportage broke down Oil Pump light came on went into limp mode luckily I had breakdown cover so got the car recovered back home all the time thinking things will be ok as I took out an extended warranty with the car Now this is another story bought the warranty cash from Nick I was in 2 minds about this cause money was tight at the time but decided this was the right thing to do for peace of mind how wrong could I have been I was lead to believe this warranty was with Car Motion any problems the car would go back there through the warranty NOPE so I called numerous garages and not 1 would touch my car through this warranty not worth the paper its wrote on I was told numerous times Spoke to the warranty company who told me to recover my car to Halfords which I did cost me 100 to do this for them to call and say they don t mend none running cars and didn t understand why they had sent my car to them Again back to the warranty I go that of course gave me loads of stupid excuses at this point almost 2 weeks of my car being stood in Halfords car park I spoke to Car Motion asking if they could recommend a garage that would look at my car through the warranty after speaking with Adrian he said he would take my car to a garage in Mexborough that he knows so off my car went no one told me were this garage was I had to chase car motion to find out exactly were my car was Anyways car goes to this garage spoke to guy gave me a long list of problems and you guessed it nothing covered by this warranty So contacted finance to be told that I would have to get an Asser guy out to check the car I would have to pay 200 for this I advised the garage of this and the next day spoke to the guy and he told me to come get the car its not worth the hassle very rude and nasty actually made me cry again I paid another 100 to have the car towed back home totally at my wits end mentally and physically exhausted not knowing which way to turn still paying finance on a broken warranty covered car Fast forward to this week the car again has been recovered another 100 to a garage resigning myself that Car Motion couldn t give a monkeys Finance hands are tied and the warranty is a bag of rubbish So the verdict my car of 7 months old needs a new engine yes its well and truly ready for the scrap heap if only I didn t owe 10 000 on it if only I d have been given the correct details of the warranty nick sold me Might I add the conversation on the day that I attended with my son and his girlfriend I bought the warranty this is what Nick quoted I had a women buy a car and her turbo went lucky for her the warranty covered 2000 and she only had to pay 800 because the warranty covered the turbo I have since spoken to Nick regarding this and his response was that he has slept since then load of crap I ve since found out exactly how much this warranty is bought by the garage to then sell on I ve emailed complaints to Mark no reply not that I m surprised still awaiting a call back from Adrian 3 weeks down the line Contacted trading standards and citizens advice this car is gonna cost me thousand of pounds to get this car road worthy again after 7 months Never in my life have I felt so stressed let down and tossed about like a piece of meat

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM THEY ARE SCAMMERS

Carmotion Mexbrough here we go again DO NOT GO TO THEM EVER This car has been back in your garage at least five times since April The amount of issues we ve had on this car and we only got it in April is absolutely disgusting The previous owner of this car is a lady I used to work with who reached out to me after the last post she sold this car to Car Motion just before we purchased it and it was in engine failure and it had a long list of issues which Car Motion said that they fixed after I have raised this with them Well tell me now why this car will not even move off of the street now After already spending a lot of money to get it fixed just before Christmas at our trusted garage because we did NOT want to go back to this absolutely cowboy either garrage it has gone a week later with a different problem the turbo has completely gone and the car is smoking so bad it almost set on fire our trusted garrage has advised us it will cost 1500 to fix the turbo and he doesn t honestly think the car will still be okay after that He was very honest and said it will cost even more than the car is worth to fix it Now this car is on finance and this is the first time we have ever done anything like this so we contacted the finance company who has said they will investigate BUT it can take a few months for them to investigate and we still have to pay our car finance for a car that does not Work our other option is the finance company will cut our finance to 3000 which means we will have a 3000 debt and a car that doesn t work but they said we can do a payment plan to pay this car off After Car Motion saying that they will not do anything about this despite them clearly selling us a faulty car We have told them that they are in breach of the sales of goods act but they do not care they are simply Cowboys who have spoken to myself like absolute crap We have given them plenty of options and plenty of time to resolve this issue but yet they still have not We are regular kindhearted who rely on this car for work As you can clearly see in the video is this car is absolutely fu edWe will be taking you to small claims court If you do not fix this you seem not to want to help us at all as we have been emailed back and forth for weeks and after the last time you spoke to me I do not want to speak to you over the phone because I was absolutely degraded and spoke to you like a piece of s tWe paid a lot of money for this car we were so excited in April So we say to you Car Motion as we have said in our emails give us the 3 334 55 that our finance company want back and take your piece of s t back All we want is this to be over this is causing us so much stress and so much time that I just do not have You are absolutely disgusting and I will be telling everybody to never go near you if this issue it s not resolved by the end of the week we will be taking you to small claims court we have I got advice from so many people including other garages mechanics and many others who said we are well within our rights to take you to the cleaners and you know what I will I m not one to come in here and be so angry but I am sick to death of this Take your fu ing car

Absolutely shocking company and

Absolutely shocking company and terrible customer service My partner bought a car from them it was agreed with the salesman Nick that the car would be supplied with a 12 month mot the car should have been delivered on the 5th of Jan 2023 after not hearing my partner called car motion to find out what time the car would arrive only to be informed the car was in the workshop and now wouldn t be delivered untill the 13th of Jan The car arrived using their delivery service initially quoted 500 to deliver but due to the delay was charged at a lesser amount The delivery driver handed the keys of vehicle and took our old car as part exchange no Inspection with my partner was carried out the guy left 3 weeks later my partner noticed that the passenger door was not working locking and then saw that one of the tyres was completely bald this raised red flags so went on to the mot checker and noticed that the car mot ran out in July 2023 My partner telephoned numerous times Each time discovering new problems with promises of call back etc on one occasion spoke to Adrian who sent a new door lock but what are we supposed to do with that as my partner is not a mechanic There have now been numerous emails and calls made to Car motion and then the day arrived for the car to have an mot well you guessed it the car failed on numerous issues with suspension and cost us 541 00 to get it through with still a number of advisories left to address The tyre cost us 241 As the car is a range rover evoke we didn t go for the highest costing tyte one just middle of the road I then have contacted a number of times and have spoken to Adrian my partner even emailed the MD with no response I have been fobbed off by Adrian a number of times giving different excuses etc I even sent them the email from our finance company confirming the car will come with a 12 month mot Since 13th January 2023 when we took possession of the vehicle my partner has only done 3000 miles up to its mot date on 15th of July 2023 therefore these issues where already there when the car was sold to us My last conversation with Adrian was he would email me whilst we was on holiday last week Guess what that did not happen The customer service for this garage is like nothing I have ever experienced we have been ringing and trying to sort these issues out for the last 6 months since we took possession of this vehicle and have got nowhere They are very quick to take your money and supply you with unroad worthy vehicles I have no choice now but to go to tracing standards and take this absolute shower of poop company to court You have been warned do not buy from this garage

absolute scam MOT had no advisories but according to Audi and 2 MOT testers car should have failed

absolute scam purchased a Audi a6 that i was told was going to go through a 100 point inspection and then a fresh MOT which it passed with no issues at all 3 weeks later I took the car to Audi for a gearbox service and they did a free inspection and shockingly they came back with a very expensive bill and told me there is no way that this car has just passes a legitimate MOT the following faults were found Exhaust clamp brokenPrice during last visit 130 45OSR bump stop split NSR bump stop starting to split recommend replacement of bothPrice during last visit 455 47Lower curved arm bushes split on both sidesPrice during last visit 774 29Visual Check of Brake DiscsDiscs Rear Worn - lippedPrice during last visit 680 40Gearbox undertray damagedPrice during last visit 272 28Lower NSF wheel arch trim damagedPrice during last visit 173 40as i say the Audi tech says at least a couple of these are straight MOT failures and the others should be on advisories but obviously Carmotion has someone doing MOT s for them that are passing cars that should have failed who I will be reporting Carmotion initially said they would repair the car if i brought it to them nearly 2 hours away and then paid for insurance of a curtesy car leaving me over 100 out of pocket for them trying ti rip me of so i argued that i shouldnt have to pay the insurance as 1 why should I be out of pocket because of them and 2 I cant find anyone to insure a curtsey car then they said they would call me back and never has and have stop responding to my emails I would definitely recommend you look elsewhere I am not the first person to say they ve had a clean MOT from them only to be hit with big bills for repairs that should have been flagged by a legitimate MOT As you cant add videos to this site I have uploaded the inspection video to you tube for anyone that wants to check if I m telling the truth but I also can not post links so you will have to search Audi A6 faults after carmotion MOT

Make sure you take out warranty

Paid 17000 for peugeot 5008 68 plate on 1st February 2023 I had timing belt water pump etc replaced after 2000 miles I broke down in North Wales timing chain broke twin cam cost me 2000 to have car repaired make sure you get extended warranty

Stay away bought a vauxhall in January

Stay away bought a vauxhall in January back light and bumper was damaged on delivery spoke to nick Adrian as took photos straight away was advise that they will order new bumper collect and fix first time driving it there was a slight scratching noise took it to the garage the draft shift was badly damaged it wasnt safe after been fabbed off for over a month after calls n emails had to get the financial team involved they finally picked up the car tried to tell me it was a bolt would be fixed in few days after a week was told it was the drive shaft and had to order a part 2 weeks later they had a driver drop it to me 5 days after the engine light is flashing bk to the garage and its the egl valve problem after problem disrespectful attitudes never experience anything like it
