I ve had my car 4 months now amd wasn t going to write a review but after small issues constantly coming up im beyond disappointed I collected My car from them early January a mk3 focus rs it was a 1 owner car owned by the managing director since new and advertised standard with low miles which is exactly what I wanted I arrive to collect the car which turns out wasn t standard but lowered remapped and a after market exhaust no problem I can live thatdrove home and the car didn t feel right so checked tyre pressures and there was half what shoukd of been so much for pre sale checks I then went out and had to pull over due to a horrible knocking and only to find rear wheel hanging off and snapped 2 studs so I had to get the car recovered home I d had it a hour next day I took it to my garage and examined car and it was clear it hadn t even been serviced despite being told it was thankfully they did the rite thing and paid for the repairs we then had a massive issue with a mileage discrepancy which took weeks to resolve and constant chasing but again we finally sorted that issue fast forward to today amd my speakers have stopped working on drivers side so I removed both door panels to find after market speakers badly wired in with scotch locks again no biggie I soon sorted them but the big issue I now have with my low mileage supposed standard example is upon removing the door card the door had been replaced and painted so I did some more digging amd appears the off side rear had been in a smash and repaired a new door fitted and painted none of this was mentioned at the time or I would of walked away from the sale now remember this is apparently been owned by the owner of the company from day 1 so zero excuses to not tell me about the damage as due to the type of car and value I feel they should of been upfront so in summary be very very careful what you buy from this company as my car was proberly over priced so in response to there comments they haven t bothered to contact me and are claiming the repair work must have been done before they purchased it how can this be they told me there MD had owned the car from new so I can only assume they staying the car is 1 owner is also incorrect as I doubt ford would carry out repair work on a brand new unregistered car

Bought my second car from Car Motion never had an issue until now When I test drove the car we noticed a paint mark issue on the door behind the driver made the sales rep aware and was told it would get sorted The viewing was on Saturday 9th Sept I was told depending on what was underneath the mark it may delay me getting the car by a day or two which was fine and I was told I would get a phone call on the Monday to let me know if it would be Wednesday or Saturday pick up This didn t happen I had to phone to chase got told I would get an update on the Tuesday morning again never happened so I called again Got a call back to say the car would be ready for the Wednesday When I arrived on the Wednesday I was shown the mark had just been buffed off not re painted it was still there just not as obvious The sales rep said this was so it didn t delay my pick up however I made it clear that I wanted it sorting the delay wasn t a problem When I got it home I noticed a chip on the windscreen and the car was making a clicking noise whilst stationary I emailed Car Motion asking to sort both these issues as well as sort the paint issue out as it came with 4 weeks warranty I was told they would get back to me with dates to get this done It has now been a week on nearly and I have yet to hear from them I appreciate this is a second hand car but when you are paying a significant amount of money for something you want it to be near enough perfect

In terms of before sale i was looking to purchase a car so it was no hard sale by any means This gave any sales rep an easy opportunity to sell me a car effective question to determine which car would be best suited to what i was looking for I already knew the make model i was looking for but felt the sales reps wasn t that interested in sale When speaking about the vehicle i noticed it hadn t been washed which i asked would it be washed before purchase and the reply was all our cars are clean on forecourt and wont be cleaned before sale It was visible it hadn t been cleaned in a while During the sale i had noticed on most recent MOT that it had issues with brake pipes on advisories I asked if these would be rectified before purchase again i was told this would happen and MOT had gone from orange to green which indicates no advisories only to find it they hadn t been done and was picked up when i had the car in the garage The aftersale customer service and customer service throughtout left alot to be desired To say the guys in the place had clearly alot of experience in this field the customer service was poor at best Would i recommend a friend family member or anyone else No sadly not Its basically a sale and very little else If you are buying a car or anything else then you need to feel valued afterall you are paying their wages and they earn commission off sales I would say they need to be more welcoming more interested in the person to make people feel valued to have your custom

I think a bit more communication between staff without Help Seemed to be fobbed off all the time

We bought our car October 2017 5 hours after driving away in the car we had problems with the gearbox The car has been in and out of carmotion since buying it we are still no further getting a car that is reliable Every time we get in touch we are left waiting days or weeks for a reply which ends up we are chasing for answers all the time Talk about looking after the customer all we have had since buying this car is hassle How people can rate this dealer as 5 stars is beyond me The staff just seem as they do not communicate between themselves and trying to get hold of a Director is another thing and none of the staff ever know when he is going to show This garage is run like a hobby and not a serious business I would seriously think twice before buying a car from this garage cos if you do have a problem you will end up chasing to get satisfaction UPDATE Finally got the problem sorted after 18 month s Hence changing our star rating from 1 to 3

Comms was fine however few weeks after purchasing had clutch issues In the process now of getting it fixed May need replacing or master cylinder need replacement Not very ideal

purchased a Volvo xc60 from carmotion at the end of January 2021 due to covid restrictions and a company van usage of the xc60 was limited so when noticing a judder every now and then put it down to lack of use however as covid restrictions eased and weather improved usage of xc60 increased but judder still there and also noticed a c not working took to independent garage for investigation and repair informed that gear box oil required flush through several times and a c almost completely empty and that these issues would have been noticed before my purchase of the vehicle advised Carmotion via e mail of issues and cost as i believe these should have been rectified before sale unfortunately as of now no response from themselves issues aside the vehicle is as was described

Excellent service up to when I d actually paid for the car after was distinctly average at best There was a discrepancy with the lack of sd cards which were supposed to be with the car but they mysteriously disappeared When queried was practically accused of lying in that I d already had them Not good after sales I m afraid

Read the excellent reviews so bought myself a lovely Passat from a local dealer there were a few teething problems which were rectified in several days had few issues with courtesy car which couldn t be helped at short notice Mike came across a friendly guy

Over the years we have used carmotion 4 times and was delt with by bret who was excellent but this last car we got a different man delt with us and it all went down hill from there He was clueless in sales knew nothing about the cars he got the price wrong on the car we wanted and the mileage and then got a bit clever very unprofessional I would never use them again while this man is there
