Thorough comprehensive format with little information to make informed choices Example select home warranty is remarkably successful in marketing its product and incredibly unreliable in delivering its service paying its service providers and delivering on its promises For example if you think you have coverage for something as basic as a water heater that started leaking think again In a subsection of an unrelated paragraph they inform you that they don t cover leaks How preposterous Did you do any of that kind of research How about a cfurnace Mine was two years old and my furnace stopped functioning They refused my claim saying that parts were still under warranty so they cover NO service to address a repair This is a company rife with questionable business practices

DISHWASHER BLUES

My dishwasher was not working so I called Choice home warranty they sent a technician assess the problem Upon the information he gave to Choice Warranty they decided to replace my dishwasher which would have been fine but according to them my payout figure was only 250 00 which by todays standards is laughable To replace my dishwasher with all the features will cost me a little over 700 00 I was not prepared to cover the cost of a new dishwasher practically out of my own pocket Perhaps Choice should not be my choice

Pets Best BUYER BEWARE

I wrote about Pets Best Insurance and how terrible they are I hope people read reviews so the don t make the same mistake and buy a policy from them Thank goodness this review can be written by a real customer and not someone else Thank goodness for Trust pilot I heard from Pets Best again it s the old Bait and switch They will not allow me to purchase the Policy at the rate that was quoted They offered me a substitution policy for the price but with a substantial reduction in coverage I HAD to purchase that policy under protest due to the age of my dog I will never purchase a policy from them if I get a new addition to our home BUYER BEWARE

I was very disappointed that the maximum coverage on my well pump was 500 The actual repair was 4 100 The amount covered didn t even cover the labor Why bother

Overall a good free service

Yelp is great for restaurants I m a huge fan use it several times a week That said when it came to finding out which medical alert was best for our aging yet still incredibly active dad neither Yelp nor Angie s List had the in-depth info my sister I needed So upon a friends suggestion we checked out Consumers Advocate which I d never heard of before It was surprisingly helpful Finding out the right questions to ask which companies to get quotes from couldn t have been easier It was a great place to start our search
