When I ordered my sofa they just finished the foundations of a new four apartment block across the street At the end of next month the first tenants are moving in but I won t have a sofa yet So unless you are happy to wait longer for a sofa than it takes for a brand new building to be built I cannot recommend this company To be fair I cannot comment on the quality of the product as I don t have it this is all about timing I do however hope that the reply from the company on one of the other reviews here that products are sold with minor damage to protect the environment was just a typo I ordered a sofa on the 11th of January It took two weeks to process the order before production started and actual production took a month Since the 22 of February roughly a month from today the sofa has been ready to ship but that ship has not sailed yet and no information is available as to when it will actually be shipped When I queried it I was told that it would arrive well within the 15 weeks maximum time but the next day this was changed to say it would be more like 17 weeks This was a week ago so I can only assume we are now looking at 18 between 4 and 5 months Simply put if you were to order a sofa today you are looking at the end of August or beginning of September In the company s defence they were quick to respond to my queries until I asked for the actual date that the ship will leave the harbour so that I can plan for the future at which time correspondence died a death I still don t know when this will ship and I expect that is because they don t know either - once they place an order with China their hands are tied and your backside better start getting used to the floor I used their maximum allowable time to plan my furniture arrangements but they told me they cannot take responsibility for my arrangements even if it was based on my contract with them Their website states that they cannot control timing delays up to 10 days but in correspondence I was told that it is reasonable to add an additional month to the maximum possible time In fact they have no control over the process after you paid The policy is to wait until they have enough orders to fill a shipping container so as a customer you are solely reliant on other people s orders how long you wait has nothing to do with your agreement with them Now there is an argument for paying less for the Chinese made sofa I assume this is where it comes from as the Chinese New Year was provided as a reason for my delays and waiting longer but that argument has a limit - at some point paying more and actually having a sofa is better than paying less for no sofa at all I enquired about my statutory rights to cancel this and was told that they would only refund me 75 even though my sofa was not highly individualised or bespoke as I asked for no individualisation on a selectable option on the website The legal advice I got is that retaining the 25 would be illegal according to par 28 b and 34 8 of the Consumer Contracts Regulations of 2014 In addition to this only refunding within 30 days is a breach of par 34 6 I do not intend to start a legal debate on here only to highlight sections to over customers should they find themselves in a similar position This will be a matter for the SCC if I decide to cancel To summarise I would have just liked this to work I like the look of the sofa and all I wanted was a simple process where I pay the right amount at the right time and they deliver the right sofa in the right condition at the right time Simple as that But for one party to think it is reasonable for them to delay their side but expect you to fully comply seems very unreasonable to me Would they have found it reasonable if I proposed to delay payment with 30 days or offered to pay 250 less than the advertised price because I found that reasonable I don t think so they will just tell me to go away So why is it reasonable for them to delay with 30 days You cannot wash your hands and blame China my contract was with this company and not with China how they get my goods to my door is solely their responsibility Let s be clear if that ship leaves tomorrow highly unlikely it is at sea for 6 weeks and then it needs to be delivered to me which surely can t take longer than 1 week This will be 14 days later than the maximum possible time they advertise 56 days two months from the earliest possible day and 35 days later than the average The chance of that ship sailing tomorrow seems highly unlikely to me But who knows If you need something within a specific time frame this is just not the option for you If you are happy to wait indefinitely then maybe Update on 23rd of March Since I posted this the company sent me an email threatening me with legal action for libel and slander not sure which one they have decided on as yet I stated that I am happy to discuss this with their solicitor as I have full documentary evidence for every claim I have made I am however not going to be bullied into removing a review which I feel factually represents my experience They have claimed in their response to my review that I posted a tirade all over the net although I only posted this on two highly reputable review websites of which this is one They further insist I cannot provide a review of their company as I haven t received the goods even though I clearly stated this in my review - as a matter of fact that is the issue In their response they note that it has not been established that the sofa will be late even though they sent me an email clearly stating that the estimated time of the sofa arriving in the country is beyond the 15 week mark - let alone the date of arriving at my home I have still not received a date on which they are planning to ship the sofa it has now been ready to ship for more than a month - they refuse to provide me with the exact date and shipment detail In their response they also state that they do not see a purchase as a legal contract which should be worrying to all consumers as you part with your money when you order the product I guess you either have the patience to deal with this from a retailer or you don t and everyone should make their own mind up on whether this is for them or not

Great sofas- farcical delivery and customer service however Be warned
We received text confirmation our sofas were coming on Friday A days holiday duly arranged and all old sofas moved to the garden in preparation for their arrival between 8-11 A text arrived at 5pm the day before confirming this A message was left on my phone on Friday morning saying they weren t coming No other information No one had any idea at customer service where they were or why they had confirmed delivery Our old sofas were rain sodden after being in the garden all night so we had no seating whatsoever We were then told they would deliver on Saturday This was after repeated calls to customer services with promises of return calls Not one call was made to me despite numerous calls requesting a manager call back I have still have not had one Delivery was apparently going to be confirmed by phone No one called We then got a text saying they would come between 7-10 10o clock came and went again yet another call to their customer services Apparently they were coming but definitely between 3-5 At 1 o clock we had a call saying they were nearly at our house They said 3-5 was wrong and they wouldn t wait Thankfully my husband could get home in time or they would have left The order is incomplete- again no one has any idea how this happened We now have to wait for a module of the sofa to arrive on yet another day I ve been booked in for a day I m a work again without telling me Again I only found this out when I called Never had such a farcical delivery experience This would stop me using deluxe deco again frankly

Good at Sales - Awful woeful with after-sales e g returns
Good I had a positive and efficient experience when placing my order I called in to clarify a query and the response was good so I went ahead and purchased the table I wanted It was an August order for delivery in early December which I was fine with and Delux deco were good with email updates right through to delivery THE VERY BAD On setting up the table I bought - the height was less than the advertised height and then my troubles started I made my initial request to return the item in mid-December had to chase up TWICE then I was told that they wouldn t be able to pick up item until after Christmas I asked when they could collect and never got a reply and no further communication from them I contacted my credit card company in March and luckily I got them credit card company to refund the money To return an item you have to package as it was delivered take photos at each stage of packaging and send the photos to Delux Deco - I did all of this and in fairness to them - they do inform you about their return conditions Table still wrapped up in my shed AVOID If you can t deal with any post- sales issues i e returns - they are terrible at this If you re after a bargain and don t mind any potential after sales issues then grab a bargain

Good Product 5 stars Customer Service 1 star The Customer service is so bad it makes me want to dry and I won t actually sit on the furniture it has made me hate it so much If you want them to threaten you with terms and conditions and have an argument then use this lot They will be happy to oblige after about a week of not doing anything I am surprised you claim to not know who I am as I told you I was going to leave you a review You must have a lot of people telling you you are going to get a bad review in that case

I feel I must write about our experience with this furniture company Having looked at many websites for a Matt Black Floating Wall unit we found Delux Deco They only advertised the units in grey or white matt I enquired whether they could accommodate us with matt black which they said they could We travelled from Kent to Windsor to visit the showroom This was in June this year and we ordered the unit having to pay approx 100 more for the bespoke matt black colour We were told that it would take some 2 to 3 months and we paid our deposit of one quarter of the price We came away very happy and excited To explain we are having extensive building work done and our builders were preparing for the delivery of the unit They have papered and painted in preparation and all the appropriate electrics and fittings added taking into consideration every measurement that was supplied to us to incorporate hidden plugs etc We made several calls for advice along the way We did not suspect anything was wrong About 9 weeks into the period since we ordered the unit my Project Manager asked me to get an update of a more realistic date that the unit would be available I rang the showroom but was told to email into the support team The reply I received was devastating it read We have been waiting for quite some time for the outcome of discussions with our supplier regarding the manufacture of custom Ikon units Unfortunately due to the global demand on raw materials in the current climate they have substantially increased their prices to the point where they have doubled for custom made units Prices in all industries are now highly inflationary and this has a knock-on affect for the consumer as a result Unfortunately we are not able to offer this custom product at the original price as it is simply not viable Please accept our sincere apologies for this situation and we will of course refund you as soon as possible Nothing was up for discussion Had we not asked for an update we would still have been unaware Whilst I can appreciate that these are testing difficult times this company offered us the goods at an agreed price back in June for this custom built piece of furniture and pointed out to us at the time that as it was a customised order an extra 100 would apply to the cost and that the deposit was non-refundable We agreed on these terms What we cannot accept when told of the situation was the attitude of the company literally telling us on the phone what do you expect us to do At first he had no intention of even offering to help pay for the increase He then said that we could pay another 200 and he would get back to us when he had found out the new timescale Subsequently he sent another email to say that he could not continue with the order the deposit has been refunded to us This is why I have to post this to make future customers aware We now have to find another unit to fit over the area that has been prepared for that unit I have been married for 43 years and in all that time we have bought many items of furniture we have never ever been told that we would need to pay double for something that had already been ordered at an agreed price with no thought of how we might feel THE BELOW IS WRITTEN AS A RESPONSE TO DELUX DECOS RESPONSE TO MY INITIAL REVIEW WHICH YOU CAN SEE BELOWAlthough I would like an end to this entire unfortunate experience I feel that I cannot leave deluxdeco s response unchallenged At no time did the employee show any concern or empathy in his dealings with us In fact he only said that he was sorry after I commented that an apology would be nice His method of dealing with the situation was to go on the defensive At the point of ordering the cabinet we were informed that we could not cancel this order or we would forfeit our deposit It is therefore somewhat ironic that deluxdeco cancelled our order Had I not taken the time to check on the delivery of this cabinet I wonder when I would have been told A quick curtesy call by way of a forewarning might have shown good customer care I fail to understand the chicken analogy If you go to buy chicken and they havent got any then you cant buy any - its a simple as that Also he mentions that the company will continue offering customers the cabinet in white and walnut but I think he must mean white and grey Clearly he needs some knowledge of product availability I have no intention of commenting any further on this matter and will certainly not be changing my original opinion as stated in my first review

Sofa almost so good
We purchased the large black clio sofa and footstool from Delux Deco late in 2017 I had sent a few emails to the company with different questions after I ordered the sofa but I had to prompt and resend a few of these emails to get a response from the team It s a little strange that you have to do this because they are helpful and friendly when you get hold of them I had a 10 excess on my phone bill after my calls to the only Delux Deco premium number but they did discount my footstool so I suppose it makes it easier to accept Anyway after some logistical problems and a few weeks delay which we were compensated a leather care kit for we finally got our full sofa in April We are enjoying the sofa it s very comfortable and the leather seems to be of good quality though no leather certificate is provided There is minor puddling on the seats but the team explained the reasons for this which makes sense and we are totally fine with that as long as it remains a minor issue We are however experiencing a problem with one of the headrests - the foam isn t sitting right under the leather and it sticks out like a sore thumb from other headrests It s been almost 2 weeks since i emailed photos as asked but haven t heard anything which is a little worrying so i m super keen for them to give me a call to get the issue rectified ASAP I will update this review as that happens 14th May - email received from Delux Deco delay due to logistical problems on their part someone coming to have a look at our problem next week which is fantastic 30th May - issue partially fixed with headrest the chap who came to review it last week said it should even out over the next 6 weeks and the issue is due to the product being new I also queried the integrity of the headrest after being told it was faux leather by said repairer Delux deco were in touch straight away and provided me with a leather sample and reassured me the front of the headrests were real leather which was exactly what I thought To summarise Delux Deco are a legit company and worth buying from We feel we took a huge risk buying a sofa we couldn t sit on first warehouse too far away from us but the quality comfort and value to date is brilliant The company could be a little more responsive at times and change their phone number to a normal rate but no one is perfect not even me

I bought lazyday corner sofa First of all the fabric I selected was not the one that was supplied secondly the sofas started pilling off just after 2 weeks This sofa was expensive and the price did not reflect on the quality
