Do not Book your room with Destify
Like has been said before if you have any changes they stick it to you in the pricing My situation changed and I had to change and attendee and the dates of the stay An extra 150 for the replacement attendee then the room rates went up over 30 from the original booking Better to just book directly with the hotel from the start It has taken a dozen emails to make the change So yes their customer service sucks the big one

Lacking customer service and very much ONLY for profit
I booked my room through their website Booking required 150 per person which I paid when I booked 450 total This deposit is non-refundable in any and all circumstances including their lack of professionalism or actually booking your reservation-buyer beware There is an option for travel insurance I did not purchase the insurance without going into detail it would have amounted to a bigger loss I had no contact with customer service until I noticed the room rates had gone down over 600 I emailed destify to see if they could match the current rate I was told I would need to cancel my current reservation which forfeits my 150 per person deposit 450 total for me and then rebook the reservation which would require another 450 deposit and that doesn t guarantee that they will match the price I decided to look over their terms and request a refund While the contract does say non-refundable it states the reason as time effort and costs So if they re not at a loss for time effort or cost what cause is there to keep the deposit Purely as a penalty is not just cause I booked my own trip on their website Granted the website does cost to maintain but that s an overhead cost not per client cost So I started to wonder how much effort they put in how much they were actually out if I didn t follow through with my reservation Their actual work outside of emails for my deposit issue consisted of one email exchange about price matching I decided to call and speak to a live rep I have several calls logged of 3 different verified contact phone numbers for destify and never once was I able to speak to anyone they ALL route to voicemail I then called the hotel I had reserved through their website The hotel did not have any reservations under my or the other 2 parties in my rooms name Via several email exchanges they refused to escalate my issue or provide me any contact information for top management simply responding with something along the lines of they are not customer facing and they would simple route the call back to me Upon explaining the absolute zero effort they really had in my booking which is the reason they have a non-refundable deposit and the fact that my reservation did not even exist at the hotel The rep then said that the booking was under a number and not my name She did provide the number and upon reaching out to the hotel once again they had no such reservation I requested some proof that they were out to the tune of 450 or even in the ballpark they said they could not share that information How hard is it to show me my actual booking at the hotel wouldn t that have been proof The response I received was that it was sensitive information to show me their day to day financials but my actual booking can t be shared with me Most likely because according to the hotel it doesn t exist I have booked through another website 1 000 cheaper than destify with no money upfront and a much later cancellation date I intend to look into my legal options My advice before you book call them and see if you can get a person on the phone Compare their costs and terms with reputable booking sites and see if they re inline but most importantly for peace of mind book elsewhere

Unwilling to refund my trip although
Unwilling to refund my trip although they stated I would be refunded within 7-10 business days Apparently I missed the refund window 65 days prior to trip however this was never mentioned prior to my authorization of cancellation To the contrary I was told I can expect the refund And now they re refusing They are also unwilling to change the date instead of cancel I m supposed to be out of 1800 00 and accept it I will continue to fight and am also going to seek legal counsel Though the contract does state the refund requirement the fact that I was told I would be refunded should over ride

Destify made a mistake and did not honor their word
Destify made a mistake They did not set up my 74 year old mother s handicapped room and because they made that mistake we were unable to make any adjustments We had to move my mother to the other side of the resort which was cheaper We also had to pay for an additional night because the mixup made the hotel unable to make adjustments Destify was contacted repeatedly by my daughter They stated that they would rectify their mistake and said that we only needed to send the receipt The resort was gracious but would not move my mother to a handicapped room unless I signed that the move from the more expensive to less expensive room was not the hotel s fault which it wasn t Once we returned my daughter was given the runaround again and we were not refunded for paying for the more expensive room OR for the extra 300 night stay which we were assured would be reimbursed They do not honor their word Majestic Elegance Resort in Punta Cana is beautiful and the hotel staff is gracious Destify said whatever they needed to in order to not be bothered while we were in the DR and then denied all responsibility once we returned Here is just ONE example of one of my daughter s correspondences just so that you can see how difficult Destify was Maxine her grandmother room had been on the Adult side of the Majestic Elegance resort originally but we contacted destify and had the room updated to include Olivia under 18 We asked how much it would cost and we were given the amount and we paid the deposit to secure it Later they saw a mistake and needed to move the room to the family side we thought this was done already as I had spoken with someone about confirming the change to the family side In addition I also continuously asked for handicap accessible room for my 74 year old grandma We get to the resort and I m trying to change the name on the reservation and extend the room from 3 days for 4 While I was there they couldn t find Olivia on the room even though we had already paid This caused a lot of confusion andI spent my vacation trying to rectify that mistake She wasn t added even though we paid for her in the room Due to this mistake I was unable to get the name changed or extend the days because they only had 2 people in the room and stated that the resort couldn t make any changes until Destify fixed that mistake I contacted destify continuously with no one was able to help me and this caused us to have to change dates flights and spend extra money so my 74 year grandma had a place and the other two were added to someone else s room extra cost last minute since everyone did not have a room Not to mention that when my grandma got there they had todowngrade her room as the adult side does not have any handicap rooms She was put on the family side anyway In summary- Paid for 3 people but only two people were included in the room- Change flights so everyone had a room prior to coming- Pay for and extra day receipt included - Pay to add others to another room- Room was downgraded to family side Junior suite in order to get ahandicap room2 Spoke with the front desk and guest services at the resort3 6 21-6 234 They said to give the information to the Destify and they shouldreinburse as the error was on their side5 We paid for an extra day and were told by Jasmine from Destify that wewill be reinbursed receipt attached There was no receipt for the downgrade to the family side and I m waitingon the receipt to change flights due to the room not being available forthe 3 individuals in the roomAttachments- 20230707165118799 pdf

DO NOT recommend
A family member recommended Destify to help plan our destination wedding Destify did help us find a resort for our destination wedding which we really liked However when we booked the resort with Destify the representative rushed the entire process and left out some very important details We booked our room at a set rate which we were under the impression our guests would have the same set rates That is why we booked so quickly because of the good rates Then we started noticing the prices going up on the Destify website The Destify representative told us that only our rate was set and not our guests The representative argued over email with us and said she did mention it in our conversation and we weren t listening Neither my husband or I remembered her saying this Our guests received cheaper rates and FREE transportation when booking through the resort AND free cancellation anytime With Destify once you booked it was nonrefundable and you had to pay extra for transportation Destify did offer payment plans though We encouraged our guests to book through the resort for cheaper prices and better deals Using Destify was very stressful and a huge headache I do not recommend them at all

Destify is a sham of a company Very terrible customer service and stringent booking policies They made my guests over pay for their three night stay 1000 over the rate provided directly through the hotel There is absolutely no reason to work with destify

Would not recommend this Locked in at a higher price than booking from the resort Strict cancellation policies and very cookie cutter responses from customer service when you need help Save yourself the headache and stress that I have endured It s not worth it

This company does a good job on the front end but once they have you locked in they are not willing to accommodate your needs and simply say we can t help you This happened to us multiple times with this agency and I would NOT RECOMMEND using them unless you like being disappointed
