I seem to be the next victim of a FB Marketplace scam I ve told whoever it is in no uncertain terms I m not paying anything in advance Thanks for the information

Had an account on FB going by the name of clubformeetdetente saying they cant collect but will us this service to pay and collect the item Went down most of the things then when they said i had to pay 100 to confirm the collection i looked the company up The emails looked fake and then get threatening emails to pay for the insurance yer no thanks hope this is helps to stop this from happening to any more people l

Trying to sell some gym equipment on Marketplace and been contacted by someone called Attila this morning asking if equipment is still available which I confirmed yes Then told me too busy with work to collect so will send EMS to collect and give me an envelope with the cash Yeah right Person blocked

As a lot of others have said - total scam I had something listed on marketplace and had the request to pay insurance which would be refunded when EMS turned up to pick up and pay No way so now blocked Just posting here to say be careful

A Facebook scammer with a profile name of Hedi Hirossek tried to scam me by using this EMS Post courier Said they was too busy to come and collect it themselves With a quick Google search I came across this Trusted Pilot review for this EMS Post courier Watch your back folks there are scummy individuals out there trying to break you

Fraudulent - AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Sent some secondhand DVDS books bought in the UK years ago from Japan to the UK for my parents to enjoy over the winter holidays Was advised by the EMS website and EMS staff to enter the price I originally paid for the items I was charged an eye-watering 8 000 JPY to mail but was told the parcel would arrive with my parents before Dec 25th It is now Dec 28th and they still haven t arrived at the destination but I have found out that my parents will have to pay 41 28 GBP to get the parcel - VAT and customs duty VAT and customs duty on secondhand and almost worthless items that already cost 8 000 JPY to send This could have been avoided if I had not had to put the original price that I paid more than 5 years ago I have been advised by HMRC Parcelforce and now finally EMS that I should not have put down the original price for almost worthless secondhand items I have called and sent emails to EMS and they do not reply They just take your money and then ignore you Shameful DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICE
