Went with exact online end of 2016
Went with exact online end of 2016-early 2017 looked a very good system and it turned out to be a significant system for the money and installation process team are great BUT there accounts are woeful Set up a direct debit this failed 3 times as there accounts are terrible then I ve finally set properly we were billed a List price over a period This was approx 6-7k that came out of our accounts incorrectly After months of trying to get the money back we abandoned the install due to this reason if they can t sort out there internal accounts what hope have we got with urgent technical issues This is a shame as the product is good and technical help UK team are good accounts is based in Netherlands We had to claim our money back through the direct debit guarantee around 7-8 months later as they still hadn t resolved it Now Oct 2018 we are getting statements from what we thought had been resolved This company unfortunately need to sort out there own in house procedures before they an reliably promise anything but contact with accounts etc is completely unrealiable I couldn t be paid to go back to exact systems avoid at all costs in my opinion

Very poor service
Very poor service I do not recommend anyone buying this service forever I bought the service in the first month without going through the first month trial period Two hours after trying to discover the service I saw it was complicated and did not support the English language correctly There are lots of fields I don t need as a small company I requested a refund of the subscription after one hour I failed on this request the fee was refused to refund from Exact This is a company that does not respect clients It was a disappointing experience

Warning
Warning I am not only a CEO of a company using exact since seven years but originally an accountant by trade Although I have been fundamentally positive to Exact both as a company and software I must advise strongly against implementing their software in any company whatsoever We have given them the benefit of the doubt for more than six months while trying to move from one Exact version to another During these six months we have been experiencing so many occasions of ill-conceived answers unreasonable requests and pure stupidity that we are genuinely surprised Exact have any customers left We have tried to offer them to pay thousands of euros to have our problems resolved and while they on one hand say they refer us to external consultants for certain work they forbid the same consultants to work for us as they want to earn that money themselves After six months we no longer receive answers and we have decided to hand over the case to lawyers as Exact are charging us money for services they don t deliver they don t follow their contractual obligations and they don t show any interest to resolve it We have been gripping after every tiny sign of decency and hoped for Exact to prove us wrong but they fail every chance given to them to deliver what they have promised and charged for We wouldn t recommend Exact to our worst enemies and feel we have to warn each and every one of you out there considering Exact as your next accounting business software Run the other way

I continue to get charged even after cancelling and Exact never gave me the refund that they promised
I setup an account with the Exactonline nl representative rep and received a free month I never got to use it so when I was contacted again to see if I would signup I let the rep know that I failed to use the service He said that he would give me another month to try the service He then went on vacation so a new rep came on and after explaining to him the situation he sent me the new month trial We couldn t get it to work so he was instructed by their IT to have me pay for the month and they would reimburse me I agreed but after which there was no correspondence no refund After using the product primarily Dutch but it was set to English all of the categories were still in Dutch and there was no Help available in English at least not for me for some reason I cancelled the service which was impossible to figure out on my own so after a Google search it took me to the Exact help section to help me cancel which I did There was no confirmation but I received several warnings to backup because all data was to be removed so I obviously was on the right track Long story short I never received my refund and I have continued to receive new charges month after month yet I was unable to access my account to check on my Subscription nothing I have sent emails I have called and no reply I am owed almost 90 euros yet now I have been sent to collections of this I am furious at such a large company with such pathetic and borderline evil practices They are threatening to pay or else and yet they owe me money They keep charging yet I have no account to access what Steer Clear of Exact there are other certified options

They decided the 1st july to limit all API requests so now our 1y development application is not working anymore with exact online API Wow in 21st century in a digital world they transformed a 4 lanes hightway to a goat path We decided to change to another solution

Probably the worst ERP software
Probably the worst software I ve used and I echo many of the negative reviews on here which were also my experience Appalling customer service don t return calls or provide proper support as they have not enough staff for UK The system is buggy and doesn t work e g stock management is a joke even their staff cannot explain the accounting entries The bank feeds API has been broken for months and no commitment to fixing it When we downgraded the system parts of the basic system depended on the premium option and couldn t be fixed Exiting the contract is an appalling experience they just want to collect money for their failures

Product Deteriorating
The Exact product in the UK has been excellent for our CRM accounts and management information over the last 5 years When we first signed up it offered so much more than Sage Quickbooks Zero and others that we looked at We now find that they seem to have withdrawn support directly in the UK so we are not able to contact them by phone and have to raise a support question They have recently made an arbitrary decision to remove a date range selection from a management report so we are now unable to analyse any data for last month for example Their response is basically live with it there s no going back We are becoming extremely disillusioned with this product and quite worried about what they will destroy next The product is deteriorating and they aren t interested in customer concerns Past blips have taken months to resolve Hoping for a massive improvement in the customer care process

calling customer support Waiting for a long time Then finally I get a robot voice telling me they are experiencing technical problems and ask me to please try again later Useless Also I have stopped using their service more dan 6 months ago and they are still quietly charging my visa card Also crappy interface Nothing good to say about this company
