BEWARE Profiting out of COVID selling fabric for face masks then claiming said fabric might be infected Reassuring to see the foul experience I ve had is not exclusive to me - this company are selling fabric that bares little resemblance to description in colour or type of material because it s poor quality they refuse to refund and then charge a random sum so theft misdescription and very ugly responses not a professional business AVOID

Horrible place

Horrible experience with this place is an understatement Yesterday I was refused entry to the shop after being told they do not recognise medical exemptions for wearing a face covering and will not allow anybody into their shop without one They have created their own illegal policies and by doing this have broken several discrimination and equality acts They are firstly refusing entry to the disabled and secondly requesting private medical information as proof of disability I know my human rights but unfortunately a lot of individuals don t and this business is either turning them away at its doors or coercing them into wearing a mask to gain entry when they are not required to by law and should not due to medical reasons Unfortunately for Fabworks coercion is a criminal offence As you can see by all of the passive aggressive handmade signs plastered all over the doors of the establishment they seem to have made up their own law but also don t seem to be able to understand basic ACTUAL law You cannot just say we reserve the right to and then follow with whatever discriminatory terms and conditions you feel like I hope this experience encourages the owner and staff to educate themselves on how to properly treat other human beings

Mis-sold fabric

I did not have a good experience with Fabworks They mis-sold a polyester cotton mix as pure cotton to me They did not have any certification or labels to prove that the material was cotton The burn test was not that of a 100 cotton and even a teacher of textile identification and several others who work with fabric agreed that it was a polycotton It is disappointing that they mis-sell their fabric

Fabworks misrepresents the fabrics they sell online

Fabworks misrepresents the fabrics they sell online and in breach of Statutory Laws and Regulations refuses to refund or exchange customers unlawfully attemps to make customers liable for returns postage of faulty goods and attempts to unlawfully hold customers funds by refusing refunds and offering Gift Vouchers instead The fabric I received also had dusty bootmarks on it where it had been trod on and damage marks I would be weary of buying online from Fabworks The mark of a reputable business is how they manage complaints when things go wrong Fabworks drag their heels whilst responding to requests for refunds exchanges leaving the customer to chase all whilst sitting on the customers capital Look at consumer rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 Do not let this company get away with shirking its legal responsibilities and this manipulative behaviour and practice Time waster

I had such a lovely visit to your shop late today Made very welcome by Tara who helped me choose some lovely dress fabric then met with Claudia who was so knowledgeable helpful with ideas too I really appreciate the time you both took making me feel welcome I will send photos when I get sewing will be calling in again from Scotland What an amazing Aladdin s cave you have Thank you Sarah x
