Ordered a Gimp to surprise my dad on his 80th birthday sadly got some software

Waste of time

No wonder the program is for free It s totally waste of time and a pain in the a to use Even such a simple this as adding a text to a picture is a joke

spent an hour and STILL could not find

spent an hour and STILL could not find out how to get my photos into gimp every page takes minutes to load absolute rubbish

I used to love it

I used to love it The new GIMP deleted my most-used tool an exacto knife that I could trim away all of the surrounding content from the image I wanted That editing tool is now gone Why

Very possibly the worst counter-intuitive software I have ever used A steaming pile of excrement which I have gladly deleted from my PC

Seems cool as a concept but in reality it took me an hour to set text to towns i made in dnd and even then it was a pain to use when the interface was just so bad and then when i exported the picture it didn t even save Not even for recent used history like in most programs Wasted

It s the worst

Gimp really is a very bad program I have been using it for years because I never wanted to spend money on photoshop or something you have to pay for I think I will invest now though Gimp is just frustrating It can only do the very very basics and even that is super complicated I have never even with a lot of googling and youtube tutorial watching achieved to create even nearly what I wanted to create You can t even delete parts of your picture without the program turning that part white It is so very basic and really not worth the time you spend trying to figure out how to do stuff and then ending up disappointed because the program is so limited and can t do what you re trying to do anyway There is a reason people who work with photoshop would never go back to gimp
