Automatic renewal is useful but

Automatic renewal is useful but it would be better if I got an e mail advising my policy is due for renewal with increased cost and policy changes applicable for review and agreement before implementing If customer is away from home for an extended period they don t see the renewal until it has been done

Lengthy time to get through to call center

The only issue I had with my insurance claim was the time it took to answer my calls and it took a few weeks for my accepted claim to be transferred into my account I would still recommend Homeprotect as they are very friendly and helpful when you do get through on the phone

Largely fine

Largely the experience has been fine Last renewal Homedirect forcibly upgraded us to a new not expensive scheme and auto-renewed us which stinks of the now illegal practice that was regulated out of the industry a few years ago They also sent the renewal notice to the wrong address meaning we had far less time to consider the renewal

I got a quote through

I got a quote through Moneysupermarket com I called Home protect phone number from my landline the line was not very clear but the agent took my mobile number and called me back straight away I needed some clarification with regards to content cover The agent was very polite and patience She answered all my concerns which will help me to provide more information to get the right cover Thank you

It is a good value policy

It is a good value policy The cover is limited but the price is reflective and the right budget for the level of cover No one can really give you comprehensive full cover with an unoccupied property but at least I have a minimum level of protection Always with Axa but after a lot of years left unoccupied to decorate and was given their details for the new risk and insured with them

Its straightforward and gives the option to easily edit Also a summary of what is included and what is not before you sign up Pleased that you do FloodRE not everyone does and some insure you but put in a clause saying they wont cover flooding

Best decision after 30 years

We changed our insurance policy from a company where we were insured for nearly 30years because the hike in premiums was getting ridiculous Homeprotect was easy to deal with even with complex insurance needs the website is easy to navigate and when I needed to speak to the advisor there wasn t a long wait on the phone before speaking to a very helpful friendly and knowledgeable representative I wish I had changed years ago
