They cancelled my monthly agreement

I took out a policy payable in monthly instalments and spent some time going through the difference between annual and monthly with the salesman I paid the first month at the time by debit card with the salesman Some days later I received an email telling me I could not now pay monthly and that my policy would be cancelled at the end of the month Awful

Little more than thieving fraudsters

Little more than thieving fraudsters Had simple storm damage to roof tiles Sent a Surveyor who told me they would not pay No further communication from them Completely ignored complaints ignored my request for surveyors report spent more effort trying to avoid paying Literally what the Surveyor cost would have paid for the repair Literally taken my 800 for nothing disgusting thieves

Took money after cancellation 2x

Cancelled my policy got the cancellation in writing but the they still took 2 annual payments Trying to get the money back is taking a long time Not happy

Careful with Renewal

Renewal documents received through the post today reminding me of renewal but payment was already taken from the bank 6 days prior to the renewal date The company makes it a little too hard to turn off automatic renewal and should be more transparent in this regard I was unable to complete any changes to my renewal online and had to phone up which wasted my time and home protects time I was then left feeling frustrated and annoyed at the whole renewal experience which has led to me writing this review which has also wasted my time

Less than average communication and claim closed no explanation

Been with Home Protect for a good number of years but never had to make a claim Recently had to make a claim for water damage and the lack of communication was unreal Closed claim with very little explanation left message for call back received none I will definitely be cancelling my policy and renewing elsewhere Good job there ain t an option for zero stars

Insurance scammers

Where do I begin Do not go near these scammers for any household nor contents insurance Sadly I have tried to make a claim recently which has been rejected on totally erroneous grounds I even had my own loss assessment done Home Protect sent Ebony to perform their own assessment She was rude and professionally negligent I was with her the whole time during the assessment and to say it was incompetent would be kind Following this many e-mails and calls later we are many months down the line and there has never been any cohesive response from them 3-4 different parts of the organisation passed me round from pillar to post even after escalation of my complaints None have been addressed I have talked to several call handlers none of whom are able to give answers nor executive decisions I m taking this to the ombudsman and also to court I m going to expose Home Protect and its allied organisations for the fraudulent scam that it has shown itself to be I m also going to post all of this on every media site that is available See you in court Yours sincerely Dr Iain R Ashworth

Stay Away no update about claim and no one can help

After 4 months there is still not update to our claim They seem to be waiting on a report which never gets sent to them Then replied saying there is nothing more they can do with the claim despite not even seeing the report from the claim handler company Have called up 3 times asking for updates and written confirmation of the settle amount I am fobbed off everytime Real cowboy organisation stay clear

Cancellation fee rip off

I had 26 days cover and cancelled the policy because the property was sold The final fee costs equated to 6 months worth of insurance payments just under half of the yearly payment and in my opinion is unjustifiable

refused to refund me fees charged for insurance once i had sold the house huge admin fee to close the account even though i was past the initial insurance period scumbags AVOID

Renewal by post rather than update by email

I know my home insurance is due to renew yearly but it would have been best to receive an email rather than a letter delayed by the recent post strikes regarding this issue - which arrive after the closing date for cancellation Technology being as it is why not advise of renewal ahead of time to allow customer s to shop around
