Disappointed

Feeling very disappointed we brought a 3 5m free arm parasol PL35 with led lights and base the canopy needs replacing and thought as it was a well known brand we would be able to We contacted Sales via email and they asked us to send photos to check which type we have We then went on to purchase 2 which they said would fit when they arrived they had eyelets and not pockets to hold onto the spokes we returned them and they refunded however we now have a useless parasol just because we can t get a replacement canopy Complete waste of money would of been better to buy a cheaper one and replace it when it wears out

Parasol unsafe and refused to replace broken part

Poorly manufactured parasol cast aluminium button that snapped just out of warranty Company refused to deal with my enquiry after not replying to my email for three weeks Stating that the part is no longer in manufacture Yet is still for sale at other retailers In the end I got a replacement part 3D printed at a company called SGD sgd3d co uk who had the file on hand as the owner had one go on him as well

Sunny day plus a glass of wine equals a melted table

We bought a costly Kettler Palma set of garden furniture with a height adjustable table We also purchased covers to try and keep it all in the best possible condition over the winter We bought it late last year and it has been mainly under cover since then We recently started using it again and saw long lines of what appeared to be burn marks melted plastic on the table surface I contacted Kettler who replied promptly to say that these were caused by light refracting through wine glasses and melting the plastic The email implied it was all my fault and if only I had covered the table up when anyone placed a glass on it all would have been well Moral of the story don t buy a Kettler table for use outside if you want to place a glass of wine on it on a sunny day Don t expect any help from Kettler - their tables clearly are not designed to be used on sunny days to support glassware I have just seen the reply below from Kettler I think they make my point exceptionally well I understand the physics what I don t understand is why they market a table with this issue and haven t addressed it The way their reply is constructed evidences the fact they have had to construct boilerplate content for this issue I also received this patronising response when I first contacted them

Kettler fail very poor service

The canopy strap on my Kettler panalsol broke within weeks of us buying it Kettler came back with We do not have the canopy straps available until next season i e next year it being August now despite it being under warranty No apology no signature to the email Kettler have failed us - very disappointed

Product broke within 3 uses and Kettler wouldn t honour the 1 yr guarantee

Purchased a parasol for 200 which came with a 1 yr warranty and after just 3 uses a bolt sheared off and the parasol was unusable Kettler were quick to send out a replacement bolt but the bolt was the wrong item and then spent a month trying to get the correct bolt sent out to then be told it wasn t covered under the warranty as it was due to customers misuse They initially said it was a manufacturers fault and the changed their mind Appalling product and appalling customer service Would never purchase from Kettler again

We brought palma corner set

We brought palma corner set it came with covers despite ketler denying this my reason for contacting them we are in year 2 and despite our having to repair the covers numerous times and sending photo evidence ketler insist they are not at fault and we are out of warranty we chose what we thought was a reputable company who have refused to replace these very poorly made covers we are extremely disappointed and now have a very expensive furniture set uncovered must check the warranty on that Lastly the tone of your customer service is something I would not wish to portray to my own staff shocking attitude

KETTLER - All fur coat no knickers

Bought a wind up 3m parasol that broke 2 weeks out of 12 month guarantee - small cheap shoddy part broke button which means cant be safely used Spent 140 on a parasol that is useless now Appalling aftersales service -they say dont manufacturer the part anymore despite still selling the parasol online and supplying to retailers Kettler not interested and offered no replacement parasol - appalling service My son is going to try 3D print the part broken as the parasol is useless and cant be used safely without Will never buy a Kettler product again

Quality and service doesn t reflect the price tag

Having spent 3 500 on matching Kettler garden furniture I was really disappointed when the wooden table top started to peel and look patchy after only three months The wood on the other items of matching furniture which are slightly older are perfectly fine This disappointment soon turned to anger as Kettler s response was to describe it as expected wear and tear Their remedy was to send me maintenance products for me to apply It s obviously too late to make up for the lack of due care and attention and skill that should have been applied during the manufacturing process Then to expect customers to remedy their poor quality is just insulting

Severe rusting steel chairs

Had bought kettler steel chairs Caredo I think with mesh backs and seating Although around 5 years old there has been severe rusting underneath the grey paint coating on most if not all of the pieces x10 including the tables It has proved to be very difficult to detect as it is rusting away out of sight It clearly isn t a problem caused by our misuse as it is rusting everywhere A galvanised frame may have been better Meanwhile despite the quite high cost they really really aren t worth the investment being of poor technology materials and quality Avoid like the plague

Kettler poor quality

Bought my second RHS steamer approximately 18 months after buying my first one The original quality was excellent and the chair has lasted well Kettler has replaced the high quality metalwork with cheap replacements but I notice the price hasn t dropped 359 RRP Don t waste your money thinking you are paying for quality you will buy similar elsewhere for half the price SHAME ON YOU KETTLER - for abusing the value of your brand and your customers loyalty
