Ham out of date by 3 days
Was sold a pack of ham by Peatmoor Coop food store in Swindon that was 3 days out of date this morning Only realised when I got home Dated use by 13 01 2022 Not happy Avoid

Disgusting filthy toilets
I visited the Ludlow store on Saturday 3rd September asked if I could use the customer toilet I was given an entry key I entered the toilet on the right and was shocked at the utter mess that it was in There was rubbish and toilet roll all over the floor the rubbish bin was over flowing the place was filthy and stank I returned the key and swiftly left the store I found myself in the same garage the next day and again needed to use the toilet I was sure that it couldn t possibly be like it was the day before as it surly would have been cleaned daily Again I asked for the key and entered the middle toilet I was discussed at the appalling mess that this was in as with the previous day only this time there wasn t even any soap to wash my hands I abruptly left handing the key back while telling the customer Assistant what I thought about the stores toilets Do not enter they are a health hazard

Terminally muddled IT
I have before me a Share of proffits statement It gives a code e-voucher It says you can use it in any midcounties food store So I took the letter with the code into my local store where I earned the points The staff there did not have the foggiest idea what to do with it said I must download and use the app Which I did - only to be told that I had entered my coop card number which I did carefully and tripply checked wrongly and would not let me register Aaaaaaaagh Fortunately there is a website given where you can request paper vouchers that would accept my number Waiting for them to come

Poor service at checkout in Midcounties
Poor service at checkout in Midcounties Co-op store Being new to the area I was not aware that Co-op and Midcounties Co-op are different companies given the signage is the so similar and they scan your Co-op card as normal I had an 8 off weekly offer from Co-op and noticed the discount hadn t been applied at the checkout I queried why not and the cashier didn t know so asked a colleague The colleague simply said we are not part of that scheme and turned away from us No attempt from either cashier to explain why not or to provide details of Midcounties Co-op scheme and offer me a chance to join it I only found out about it later online at home Worse still when the cashier turned away from me she smirked at the customer she was serving who she clearly knew as if to say stupid woman Not impressed I m afraid it will be Tesco Morrisons Aldi Lidl in a nearby town in future for me Shame as I would have preferred to support our little town and regularly shopped at Co-op before I moved here

So sad what happened to this company
So sad what happened to this company but senior management and owners are entirely to blame and this goes back decades i remember working there and ALL the staff practically begging them NOT to buy somerfields did they listen No And anybody with an ounce of retail knowledge predicted that outcome Nowadays they are selling the blandest pizzas for five quid each When you can walk a few doors down and get one cooked for you on collection for the same price Guess what happens to all the pizzas Wasted EVERY SINGLE DAYPretty sure if they wasted less of their own money and got someone who has actually worked in retail before and not a bunch of lawyers farmers and rich people on their boards then they would be able to pay their staff more than they currently do as its a wonder anyone even wants to work there at all Dispicable destruction of what should be a pillar of every community

Stressful experience with bad customer service
IMO Avoid Unprofessional incompetent expensive 51 for broadband mail and landline 10 for mobile pcm then they removed email charging 24pa for new MAIL-COOP email service which crashed on delivery No telephone support line

just incredibly poor
I was proud to be a member I grew up with the coop being a positive force in the community sadly they now seem to think members are a commodity and an inconvenience The member communications team are some of the rudest people I have ever dealt with and the management team are totally uninterested in resolving before they ask yes I raised it with the team and was brushed off repeatedly Now they re slashing member benefits without any consultation it is difficult to see what remains of this once proud institution

Not the company it was
What a awful company it has become Where are the coop values It means nothing being a member My first 1000 points to charity I did not agree this The company BOD dont care about values or ethics They value their staff even less Ive seen this company get worse each year Prices are too high Bonuses for the upper management should be squashed as they really dont deserve it with the way they have destroyed this company

Very poor experience having called into the station to pay for groceries and fuel but the cashier not taking for the fuel even though the pump number was told Now have a fine of 60 instead of a fuel bill costing 30 Won t be using this station ever again

The level of discrimination as an exsoldier i get it shocking in woodford halse Ive had changed thrown at me ive been humiliated infront of customers and again Sharna in the woodford halse branch has continued it again today by shouting i dont have to serve him laughing at the same time Acting manager who was about 20 years of age hasnt got a clue After 2hrs on the phone guess what nothing no support for customers it seems they like their staff to speak to customers like crap Make them wait as other customers go past time for legal action
