Worst possible customer support

Worst possible customer support Optimum intentionality makes it next to impossible to reach a real support person Then if you do get a real person they are literally clueless I have had internet problems for months and cannot get any support whatsoever I live in a rural area and have no other broadband choice If I did I d drop Optimum ASAP

Deceptive Operating Practices FCC WIRE FRAUD

ZERO STAR REVIEW -- I have had cable service for 20 years Three days ago my DVR stopped recording when my Program Guide was discontinued I contacted an online assistant they rebooted my cable box When it wouldn t reset I was told it was broken because I must have disrupted one of the wires I was told me to return the old box to Optimum and to get a new one I complied The customer service rep asked me if I had more than one DVR I said I have one box and 1 TV She gave me a new cable box a remote and setup instructions When I returned home I set up the new box and remote I learned that I no longer have DVR recording service When I contacted a posted telephone number for customer assistance the operator suggested that my building was not properly wired and that I should upgrade to DirectTV I terminated the call and went back on line and received online instructions to set up the DVR function in the cloud When this failed I was informed that I would have to pay for an upgrade in service Unless I pay an additional 10 a month or 120 a year I no longer have recording capability This is dishonest and manipulative business practice Stealth upselling without prior notification I am going to cancel my service Optimum is committing WIRE FRAUD because they maniuplated and terminated my recording service They failed to give me timely information about a system upgrade and the accompanying costs They are forcing me to upgrade my premium service which constantly gets downgraded every few years Optimum s technicians and customer service reps are following deceptive practices and giving misleading information to continuously bolster corporate profits and they tried to deceptively pass this off as my fault I think it s time to cut the cord upgrade to YouTube Premium and Roku MLB MAX I also think it s time to post a letter to the F C C I also think it s time for a class action

They don t know how to get good customers and the employees are not trained properly Rude disrespectful dishonest and unprofessional

This business won t be in business for long because they don t tell their customers honest things This is the third and final time I am going to wait for the technician to install internet at my home The third time saying they don t service my home then why do they set you up for installation And why when a customer calls to speak to complain would you be sent to the retention department Retention is to retain keep a customer business not lose their business I m not a customer remember

Optimum Cable Box Issues

Optimum where is your email for feedback Your cable box system and DVR is garbage Examples No button for subscribed channels like on the web app bringing up the guide takes three clicks guide defaults back to all channels every time instead of staying on the last user selection DVR has no ability to search for programs or series by name or keyword and record Forward and reverse on DVR take forever and constantly hang up the streaming version is instantaneous blocking porn channels and guide titles is cumbersome I had a TIvo box with Suddenlink that worked well this Altice box I have now is from the dark ages Fire all the programmers who designed it or get it updated to the quality of the online app

Horrible customer service

Horrible customer service I ve been trying to establish new service for over 6 weeks After being transferred 3 times by customer service reps found out today the order had been cancelled They now say that there is no service in the area even though my neighbor has it A company in disarray

Yes they just lied to me Cheated me out of money like they always do Don t go with this piece of Crap company How the government allows these people to lie Cheating steel is just amazing I hate all internet I hate all phone companies Everything s a pile of garbage in this country Thieves everywhere 9 out of 10 or thieves in this country Worthless souls are going to a Lake of fire and I think they all work For optimum what a scam phone that s a piece of garbage Do not go with this company pay a million dollars for somebody else They suck big time and they don t even give a c That s the biggest part They don t give a crap about anybody but there s shiny freaking Penny

Service shut off without notification

An automatic payment didn t go through A week later my internet was shut off I confirmed in my account that I gave Optimum two emails and a phone number I was not informed ONCE that my payment did not go through Make it easy for people to give you money for your service Super negative experience

This is the worst internet company I

This is the worst internet company I have ever had We pay for 400 service but our daily averages between 47 and 80s So we pay for services we never receive We have internet drop AT LEAST a dozen times every day AND I HOMESCHOOL We have called REPEATEDLY and were promised it would get taken care of ITS BEEN 2 YEARS WE ARE STILL WAITING Service guy is supposed to come AGAIN tomorrow The last guy here in September I believe said the problem is the hub said it would be fixed withinb30 days and they d bring us a newer modem as ours is outdated GUESS WHAT ITS DECEMBER NO NEW MODEM AND STILL NO REPAIR DONE As soon as fiber gets in our neighborhood its coming we were notified OPTIMUM IS GOING TO BE GONE Do MOT fo business with this company if you have any other choice I m sick of getting 1 4 of the service I pay for

Liars and Thieves

They are the worst Liars and thieves They will do anything they have to do to attach bogus charges and fake taxes to your bill to say you owe them more Every month the bill changes pricing is never consistent They were at my home 4 times in the space of 2 weeks because they couldn t get either of their TV receivers that they bought refurbished or the internet modem that they claim can get 500G sec but that only works if you run a ISDN line directly to it The service agents were experienced and even they couldn t continue to lie for how cheap and ridiculous this company acts THEN they charged ME for the cheap refurbished units THREE TIMES And of course once the bill is printed NO ONE has the authority to change it No CSR is even close to helpful in resolving they are just trained to lie for their pay

I called to cancel my home internet

I called to cancel my home internet because a new provider came to town That provider has been HIGHLY recommended I had new service installed and then called to cancel my optimum service It took 40 minutes on the phone getting a sales pitch and I m not sure if the disconnect order went through I will have to go an Optimum store tomorrow to speak with someone I use this company at two other addresses My business service is so bad I can t participate in zoom meetings I am the only one using my internet Huh In Morris CT I have Optimum fiber 100 It is great service but here they only want to sell 500 or 1000 I don t need to pay for that If I could I d switch at my office but they have a monopoly here
