The Internet is not compatible with my Location

The Internet is not compatible with my location the interview would go down for anywhere from 5 min to 1 hr about 4-8 times a day Thats fine However the lack of communication within the company is frustrating I have had three calls just today asking why I canceled I told them all the same thing They are going to try to charge me for a tech to come out and remove the line they hung across my driveway I ll fight that when the bill comes I guess

I have Optimum cable and internet

I have had Optimum cable and internet since moving to Texas in 2022 The selection in Channels leaves little to be desired unless you enjoy 50 year old programming Almost every month they try either not sending a bill and then charging a 10 00 late fee This month Sept 26th 2023 they charged me 10 00 dollars late fee because they said I was short 3 45 Because they raised the bill by 40 00 apparently the price that I pay for the first 12 months changed with no notice Also every TV you have cost an additional 12 00 for a box If you call for a correction on your invoice it is handled out of the United States and very hard to understand I wish I had made a better choice in cable and internet providers Ronald Ruffi Nacogdoches Tx

So far so good with the new fiber optics however sports kinda lag and no clock on the box please put a clock on the box

It s OK for the price you pay

Well I will say one thing that when I first time up for Optimum that the first three months were free which was really good and then after that my service started getting really spotty and my internet would go down and I received like I don t know how many emails saying they were working on it and it took them like five or six hours to do it but I guess they re okay but they kind of need to try to keep track of their service a little bit better

I have been with Suddenlink Optimum since 2019

I have been with Suddenlink which is now Optimum since 2019 all was good until I moved except the price hikes Since I moved it s been terrible I can t get my cable going I have to be honest all the people I have talked to in customer service and it s been alot of them have been very kind except one guy who could careless if I stayed with them or not I had an appointment with them so im waiting no one showed so I called and they told me the appointment was yesterday That s not what I was told on the phone Whoever I talked to a supervisor and he s trying to do everything to get my cable hooked up today I don t even know why it was disconnected it was working a couple days ago A tech came out and changed my box and that s when I lost my cable connection Im just sitting here right now hoping the supervisor i talked tomakes good on hos word We will see

Unexpected visit

The problem here is optimum doesn t have to care because they have something that everyone needs and wants They re showing us that they don t need to care As long as we keep paying and staying on the phone on hold that s fine with them because apparently we need them and they don t need us Someone from optimum showed up at our door to sell us their internet because we canceled an install appointment Why Because we moved and took our modem with us as instructed We should have hooked it up but called for an install instead Hooked it up after the call and it worked We ve called to change address and written it on the bill with payment That s four attempts to change the address But this guy said they would have cut the wire because we canceled install Apparently this is quite an issue and we re currently being billed on our old account Why He had to wait to get into his own company s website Unless he was an imposter He said we d end up getting a new box to use Why It all works fine now And yet when you re smart enough to call to cancel they transfer you to their disconnect department which must be growing exponentially I guess they ll deem you acceptable as a customer if you re willing to accept the company s lackadaisical service attitude You must also be willing to work for free for their company by spending your time on problems they created And don t forget to work overtime for their company by using even more of your time to take a survey Because that s what taking a survey is Using your valuable time to contribute to the value of their company Instead of taking a survey vote with your feet If you like the company you stay with the company That s the only survey a company needs Repeat business In response to optimum s comment no i will not spend more time on these problems Call me when you have a solution

Still waiting zero issues with the

I have had zero issues with the internet service But then it went out I understand a person living in the home needs to be there for their service men to fix it So I take off work for them to come fix it during the time and day THEY requested and no one shows up Not right That needs to be corrected UPDATE The service is in my grandson s name And now he is being told We Meant Next Tuesday I m now checking with a different company I m sure there is companies available that can do much better

I just want to say thank you Jason After about a year and a half techs coming to my house and doing the same things over and over again to still have the same problem 15 minutes after they left he was the one to listen and check the wires at the street and wow my internet is not dropping 9 times a day I work from home so it s important Optimum customer service is terrible most of the time They are sometimes rude and not trying to understand the customer I don t know why I have had to pay full price all this time for terrible service I hope that it will improve in the future I would give more stars if not for the past experience

Internet speed in my area is turned

Internet speed in my area is turned down every evening when when it s peak time If you have a live streaming service you can forget it It buffers so much that takes a hour to watch a 30 minute show When call and complain she tell you they don t do that The worst part is the monopolize in my area I will NEVER EVER recommend this company
