SCAMPAN I purchased a professional

SCAMPAN I purchased a professional grade non stick saute pan 200 from ScanPan one month ago On their website they claim that you can use metal utensils and bar keepers friend for cleaning and its a safe material to cook with This is the primary reason I purchased it While cleaning it I noticed a scratch on the pan They scratch easily and the coating is very very thin This cant possibly be safe to cook with even though the customer service dept says that if you do get scratches it still safe I only used it twice Used a large metal spoon to baste with No aggressive stirring Still got scratches You can get the same quality product from numerous other companies without the huge price tag This is misleading information about their product ScamPan

I got their Scanpan CTX 28 cm for Christmas and it took about a month to seriously wear out the non stick coating which is supposed to be advertised as really durable I tried to return the pan but the company obviously adopts a Blame-the-Customer policy when it comes to returns

BEWARE

BEWARE The pan broke down because of sticking and poor quality I purchased my Scanpan from Cervera Shortly after six months the pan was having problems with sticking I was informed on how to clean and restore the pan to new After a short time the pan started sticking again so I cleaned and restored it but it was never the same Returned serval times to the store I was unable to find help they explained the pan should never be used on high heat that was not the information I received when purchasing the pan When I tried to take advantage of their warranty because my pan had lost its non-stick properties despite being cared for as instructed I was met with huge resistance But what is worst is that I am having peaces from the non-stick properties that I even don t want to think about damaging the health of my family and me So all of you don t waste your money

We purchased a number of scanpans

We purchased a number of scanpans because of the lifetime guarantee however with in 15 years 3 of the pan need replacing because the coating is coming off I have tried to get the company to do something about it and got no where We have notice that they do not do a lifetime guarantee anymore i wonder why do not expect them to last or for customer services to every get back to you

I received a set of the Scanpan CTX

I received a set of the Scanpan CTX pans 8 and 10 25 inch as a Xmas gift from my Mother who was proud to offer me what she thought was a high end product The finish on the large pan did not last and customer service in Canada said that I did not wash them properly when I actually treated them like family heirlooms They suggested I scrub them down with Barkeepers friend product which I did but this only wears off the finish further I am so disappointed and so is my Mother

The non-stick coating held up for less than a year

In the market for a new non-stick frying pan yet again - We ve tried four different brands over the last few years Greenpan Woll Circulon and Scanpan They all have one thing in common none of them lasted more than 2 years despite following the instructions to the t i e always hand-washed them never used high heat we have an induction stove and never used any abrasive tools I should mention that we cook quite a lot though the pans are used 4-5 times per week Out of the brands mentioned the Scanpan CTX has been the worst performing the non-stick coating didn t last even a year Very disappointed and now running out of options what to try next maybe WMF or LeCreuset though it seems it really doesn t matter how much one spends on a quality pan they never last as long as the manufacturer state they will P S The Circulon Infinite has held up the best out of the ones we ve tried

Very bad experience with a purchase

Very bad experience with a purchase made less 2 years ago which lost most of its non-stick after 1 year I had brought a similar pan for 12 around the same time which has kept it s non-stick for well over 2 years which is typical for a good non-stick pans The company when contacted right away rejected my claim saying there was no manufacturing defect Not sure what that means aside from not wanting to stand behind their product at all Look for a non-stick with similar weight and you will most definitely purchase a better non-stick pan

Purchased my first copper 18cm maitre D

Purchased my first copper 18cm maitre D saut pan from supplier Harts OF Stur and on first use the pan discoloured and all the copper coloured dsiappeared Sent pictures of comparison and got replacement and same happened to replacement pan Low heat hand wash only and both compared with my existing copper pan from different manufacturers Also the box stated designed in Denmark strictly manufactured in China Is this a fake pan and is it that Scanpan claims is manufactured in Denmark but really is China

iDisappointed in ScanPan

Very Disappointed with ScanPan My husband bought us 2 as a wedding gift for us Early on we started noticing flecks in our food and realized the coating was peeling off I didn t want to give the pans up since they were a special gift But they were no use to us After calling the company and sending in the photos and getting an authorization for their return I was disappointed Again to find out the postage to mail them back was 28 00 To mail back two unusable no good pans What a rip off
