Easy to use Really great

I have used them for a few months so far along with lots of Facebook advertising and competitions to get people to my new online Shopify store I ve had more sales in a month than I ever did over several years on my other website although granted I never did any SEO to help my old site along - and it did a handful of sales It s nothing groundbreaking with the sales - I ve had a dozen small orders - but that s unheard of in the first few months of starting up a site in my experience it is anyway The cheapest plan 29 - appx 23 per month is more than adequate I have had people signing up to the mailist facilicy I can check where an order s come from google facebook bing etc the fees are tiny compared to other sites For example an order for 10 99 paid via Shopify payments - left me with 10 55 44p charge Had I sold on a very well known other website that takes a whopping 25 commission for jewellery sellers - my fees would have been 2 75 So I m happy as larry There are so many amazing apps you can integrate some cost some are free - but it s truly amazing what you can do compared to the old tedious HTML days People are complaining about being charged - but it says 30 days free - then you re charged so I don t get the issue You can cancel it before hand Also I ve read that customer support are faceless and don t care I ve found they are great You do online chat yes you usually have to wait 20 mins to get to the front of the queue - but you can do other stuff while you wait I d rather sort an issue there and then rather than other sites that give you a ticket reference and get back to you 2 days later Once there was an issue they were not sure of the answer - so they investigated it - contacted Google on my behalf - and emailed me within 24 hours I m chuffed to bits My website looks amazing too Better than anything I ve ever designed myself in the past It s SO easy once you get your head around setting up the navigation categories - because I was confused for an hour or two - but absolutely love it now

I have used Shopify for several years and after having a break for a few months I built a new shop about 6 weeks ago I recently received a notification saying my payments had been put on hold and after reading through some other reviews I panicked Shopify had always been amazing for me before I worried they were going down the same route as PayPal and had started screwing their sellers over by holding their money for months at a time I had over 3 5K in held payments so I was really worrying Not only that I love Shopify I really didnt want them to have turned into power hungry money grabbing a holes like PayPal are Whenever I have needed to get in touch in the past they have always struck me as a really decent genuine bunch of peopleI had no need to worry I sent in a copy of my ID and Liam from customer services was amazing He and a lady called Evelyn were both fantastic and are a credit to Shopify My payments are back up and running again and on the way to my bank They literally just needed to verify my identity and I didn t even really need to contact CS they notified me in my dashboard and added an upload form so it could all be done automatically I just contacted them because I panicked Most of the negative reviews here are not about Shopify but are about shops on their platform which is unfair its like leaving a bad review for visa cause you had a bad experience with TescoAs a seller Shopify have been nothing short of amazing for me The platform is incredibly easy to use the extra features and apps are fantastic The pricing is fair and in my experience customer services have been fantastic As a shopper I have purchased from many different shops across the Shopify platform and never had a problem with any of them As far as I can tell they seem to have the perfect balance between protecting both the sellers on their platform and the shoppers Something some of the big processors could definitely do with taking a few lessons on Thanks guys Keep up the great work

I m writing this as I Googled Shopify Trustpilot to see if there were a Trustpilot app available for Shopify Then I saw a link to the Trustpilot score of Shopify itself and was totally taken aback - so felt I had to come on here and stick up for one of the really good guys Shopify is utterly phenomenal They blow all other e-commerce platforms out of the water and I ve used most of them I read something about them being buggy and downtime - it has gone down for 2 hours that I can remember in the 3 years I ve used it it s flawlessly executed and a company that has great people and puts them first No I don t work there - if anything I worked for a competitor Etsy The integrations are the best out there the payment tools are the best out there the theme adaptations are the best out there How the reviews on this site have ended up where they are is nuts - Shopify ought to do something about it Long story short - if you re starting an e-commerce site not on a marketplace you can shop around for as long as you like but you ll end up back at Shopify - and for very good reason
