Over paying during the pandemic

I am wondering if Sky have furloughed so many workers they cannot give the service we are paying for They have changed Sky Q screen formatting so that it is useless on the smaller TVs in the bedrooms as the text is too small to read We do not all have cinema style screens It also takes longer to select from recordings due to silly repetitious selections being needed and this is the same for deletions I changed my mobile to Sky too and have had trouble getting them to enable data No help from Sky though as they are only serving certain people - but they are charging us all I am 69 10 months so do not quite qualify Can hardly leave them for TV - no virgin and limited Freeview in this area

Poor service

My renewal just came up and I wasn t even informed instead of letting me know it was coming to an end I was hit with a bill of over 90 When I called I was told they don t inform when it ended and that was it I called back 4 times to negotiate a good deal even then I still feel it s way too high but renewed contract anyway as had no choice as can t get other companies in my area

It s so difficult to speak to them on

It s so difficult to speak to them on the phone Have been paying them 120 each month for years Cut my services down but they made it hard work and it took an hour on the phone As soon as my contract is up I m off 20 years a customer and they treat you as a cash cow Their loss A parasitic company

Sky glass TV reveiw

Been with sky over 10 years now I can t really complaint about customer service Got sky glass before Christmas 2022 this TV was nothing but trouble from get go Hard to fix it on the stand putting on the wall was really finicky but we managed eventually Hated the smart wifi feature What a mess Now we just use it as a normal smart tv and sky HD box with satellite im trying to avoid sky q as I don t get on with it The TV doesn t want to turn on half the time need to unplug it and plug it again and wait until the tv decides to wake up And don t even get me started on the remote control I ve never had to change batteries in anything so often Every few days it needs new pair Not that we use it that much Just to turn on off and when using streaming apps but other than that it doesn t get touched We mostly use remote control for hd box didnt need to change batteries in that one since we got the glass TV I have a TV in my bedroom that s probably 15 years old and i owned it for 11 changed batteries probably 3 times The smart glass TV is just appalling Not worth the price One of my biggest mistakes ever

Total waste of money stick to sky Q I ve had nothing but trouble with it from the day I signed up to it wish I hadn t bothered Wouldn t recommend to anyone tried to change back to SkyQ but no joy

No point contacting Sky

We were moving house and was told there wold be no fee as it was a house mover option and been with Sky for a good number of years I then found out I had to pay 25 for the engineer to come out I am not going to try contact them as with many reviews it is very difficult to do so I have also noticed they don t respond to any of the reviews on here That tells you all you need

Sky glass not the best

I ll start with a positive The sky glass tv is a nice size and the picture is good However You can no longer save any programs you like to repeat watch Some of the apps like Apple TV you don t get the full app on sky glass a lot of the programs you get on your apps on your computer have a lot more content than on sky glass It regularly locks up and says you have no connection even though you definitely do The only way to get it back is to turn the power off at the wall and wait for a few seconds then turn it back on On the whole you are much better off staying with sky q until they have worked out all the big issues with the tv

Shabby Service

I have been unable to download programme content from my Sky box An hour on the phone with their representative failed to solve the issue so an engineer visit was scheduled It took the engineer only minutes to confirm this was as issue with a Sky update causing the problem for some users and that technicians were working on it Meanwhile sorry nothing to be done until the problem is fixed So I m paying for a service I can t use The customer service representative was excellent the engineer arrived on time within 2 days Nevertheless given the cost of Sky TV this is entirely unacceptable and a refund should be forthcoming I ll report further

UNINTERESTED SKY

SKY UHD sound on SKY SPORTS FOOTBALL - or rather the lack of it Don t bother trying to get any kind of answer from SKY as to why all of a sudden there is no sound for their football broadcast on UHD you ll not get one Why are they always disinterested to their customers WHY This could be the last straw and the parting of the ways

Really poor service and unethical pricing We were Sky VIP customers for 2 years but I was increasingly angered at the low price promotions available for new customers so I enquired if we could move to a better deal I was willing to switch broadband as well Instead the call centre were only interested in upselling me and to add insult to injury tried to pressure me into rating their service levels as a 9 or 10 at the end of my first fruitless call to them I researched elsewhere and BT did me a deal combining BB and TV for GBP40 less per month so called SKY again to cancel Then the fun begins you have to call them again on another number and endure yet more waits presumably prioritising new customers And only at the point of confirming my intention to cancel am I offered a GBP10 discount on current package locked in for 2 years If I d been offered that at the outset I would probably have stayed But this is no way to treat customers Tease and squeeze is a shocking sales tactic I am surprised SKY and others still get away with it
