Sky is great never really had a problem my only issue is my deal will soon run out however I have seen sky dont really do new deals for existing customers When I was with virgin if I called up after deal ran out would get a new one Sky seem to assume that sky VIP is rewarding existing customers but in reality it doesnt as it seems you would have to have been an existing customer for a period of time to have any chance at a decent reward I am someone who has mental health issues and social anxiety so therefore dont get out much and rely on the television but with prices always rising and new customers getting deals only that doesnt help those who are loyal paid Bill s on time and who would like to stay with sky but at a reasonable price I get it has to be increased from time to time that s not an issue but after your deal is done and you are looking at your package doubling in price almost not good

I m a new sky customer Received my box No card 5 days later the card turns up Pop it in to the box No on demand services as per my package Do you think I can get sky to answer the phone No 50 minutes on hold Apparently it s due to coronavirus That s wearing a bit thin now given they have us 7 months to make alternative arrangements like my bank nationwide My phone O2 Thames water etc etc So I just cancelled the services Easier than waiting forever for them to answer the phone I m assuming judging by other reviews they don t actually read them or just don t care Update after a lot of back and forth in live chat and the phone they eventually sorted it out Took about 6-8 hours of calls etc

I re contracted with sky broadband tv after getting no where with online existing customer I called for cancellation I spoke to someone named Micheal who gave me an amazing deal after being a sky customer for 9yrs he was brilliant talked me through every issue that I have had with sky he even gave me a true broad band reading after 6 years of me telling them I m not getting what they advertised explained the reasons why He was fab although I did find out afterwards my exchange is only down the road so not that far away after all but thank you for all you did to help He gets 10 10

I was really pleased on upgrading to our Sky Q box The engineer who visited was on time polite and helpful and sorted everything out with a minimum of fuss The Sky Q box itself is a massive improvement on our old one and we are really enjoying using it The voice remote is great

I recently cancelled renewing my

I recently cancelled renewing my contract with Sky after 20 years because they had a section in their TV guide for a far left political organisation who wound quite happily see the destruction of Sky but being woke was far more important to Sky than the police being defunded the government brought down and the end of Sky Tv which must have been the decision of a complete idiot However credit where credit is due and the Marxist backed political party section in Sky s TV listings has finally been removed bringing back sanity and non-biased advertising which a 4 year old could have worked out was the right thing to do I complained about this months ago and was fobbed off so put my money where my mouth is and left Sky for another broadcaster My time is almost up my with Sky and I haven t changed my mind about staying with Sky as they treated me with contempt even though I was offended but at least they ve made the right decision at last and got back their sanity so I would recommend Sky TV now and had 20 years with them The customer service sometimes was a bit sketchy but nobody s perfect I may be proved wrong and they go back to making far left political actions but for now they re ok Thanks Sky and I forgive you

The cost of a facia

I am quite happy with my SKY Glass product mainly because I was well aware of the potential user pitfalls such a device in the home can be The TV itself is much improved over the TV that was set up in my home 18 months ago so this has pleased me and made it worth every penny I am a single person no family so when I use the set the broadband signal is unfettered or shared with anyone else so I get no stuttering or lag in fact I have had more issues with the puck that at times has been infuriating and at times of the night when there is no tech support around to help The main reason for leaving any feedback is because of the facia that attaches to the actual SKY Glass TV upon release trying to find where to actually buy one was a mission in itself then I was told you could buy them on Amazon so I went to Amazon website to buy and then was shocked to learn that they come with a price tag of 50 quid This is for a bit of coloured plastic with some magnets AND you pay more for a larger sized Glass TV Why could SKY not have included a plain facia in the box with the new set and have the designs e g Sapphire to buy separately Also for 50 quid I would want an exclusive design from say Andy Warhol or a Banksy something exclusive limited edition and something that will enable someone to increase the value of the actual set It is an extortionate amount of money for an accessory that whilst purely optional leaves it incomplete if you dont buy one All else I am happy with the way the service works and I have had no real issues thus far

Successful outcome

I had a problem with sky relating to a combined sky netflix package I was initially very disappointed with the response from Sky but fortunately I manage to contact a member of staff named Valentia She was extremely helpful and sorted out the problem for me I feel that if Sky employed more staff like her their rating would improve

Hopeless

Hopeless I unfortunately had to postpone my upgrade which I am still being charged and they turned my service off No sport no playback etc Hopefully Virgin will soon be available here it can t come too soon Edit I did speak to a delightfully helpful lady today and she looks like she s got good training and has set the wheels in motion to rectify the mess

customer service

Not sure the value of a virtual assistant it just winds customers up even more 45 minutes wait to speak to an actual human However finally got through to a human being Sheryl or Cheryl I think who was excellent and very pleasant and calming to deal with Shame that Sky don t employ more people like her and then their customer services would match their excellent technology

Sky glass we struggle with the streaming buffering not able to return to the point where left off Contacted sky who were very helpful and returned it We were in the cooling off stage

I had read reviews after we got sky glass as we were struggling It was not for us streaming channels We had no problems with the staff we spoke to and were very helpful I can confirm TV has been returned I thought I need to give a positive feedback as I did find reading people s reviews helpful
