Sterling Windows Warrington - no stars would be better

This company are also known as Sterling Windows Conservatories and trade as Soundglobal Used them about 4 times on various houses been ok Door panel on my UPVC door failed and swelled up within 10 year guarantee period Called them they wanted ALL my paperwork from 10 years ago I got bank statement showing the money paid I had the job number job sheet completed by them the surveyors name who came out to me They said not interested unless I had all the paperwork I gave them the job number asked them to trace it conveniently they d had a new computer system hadn t transferred the old records - how convenient - pretty sure they re obligated by law to keep records in any case They wouldn t even come out This was such a blatant attempt not to honour their guarantee They re cheap but you get what you pay for friends have also used them had problems Do yourself a favour pay a bit more get a proper job done by a firm that cares about its after service will honour their guarantee can actually keep proper records AVOID

I had composite front back doors

I had composite front back doors fitted in June 2018 I have had to have fitters out on 7 occasions as neither of the doors are properly sealed the wind comes through both of them especially bad in the winter since restrictions were lifted from the pandemic their answer phones tells you to leave your contact detail someone will call you back I have left 5 messages on their answer phone but still no-one has phoned me back I would steer clear of this company as they are a cheap provider with no interest in after sales RUBBISH

Avoid Spend your hard earned money elsewhere

We had a faulty front door fitted in December 2019 The front door is a fire hazard as we often can t open it as it constantly sticks The frame looks like it s warped The fitters also cut through the wires of our existing alarm system rendering it useless which the office then tried to deny even happened Despite several call outs and numerous attempts to have this fixed it s still not remedied It s now November 2020 The after sales is appalling you can never get through they don t return your calls and promise to arrange a call out but it never happens They maybe be cheap but they are useless Spend your hard earned money elsewhere I think we ll be heading to the small claim courts as we ve been left with no choice

Got a composite door in 2018 and it has been taken out and back to factory 4 times and now I still can t open it I have to enter my house through the garage these are a rip off

Bought a composite door 4 years ago and it is now covered with a white mildew which has stripped the door of its shine and colour Tried to ring company and getting through to a fax Tried the website but it doesn t exist anymore Swansea area Neighbour has had same issues Useless

Would give it 0 if I could they are cowboys my sister in law who has dementia was sold a conservatory box and charged 16 000 Their workmanship is not the best they spent time on a gutter above the conservatory it now drips permanently making it a water torture they don t answer emails phone calls etc They had to be called back so many times then when fully paid will not return BEWARE

Horrendous customer service

Horrendous customer service spoke to Tim who was totally unhelpful and downright rude although my conservatory is out of warranty by a couple of months a repair they did before that is now leaking again was more or less told not there problem Avoid sterling at all costs

Extremely disappointed service

We ordered three windows and we got two wrong We asked for a replacement and we got a new quotation They told us that we we should pay for the windows in full again even when one of the windows should be frosted and it is not and the other one should have two panels and turn round with four

Former employer explained for negative reviews

I am a former employer in this company All I can describe for any buyers toward to this firm 1 Highly poor environment and unsafe environment 2 Bullies bosses supervisors3 Dozens radical and offensive graffiti in toilet and in work department4 Poorly and cheap CNC machines that s always breaking down That s why most of customers are complaining about their windows and doors 5 Unfairly pay wages as in varies pays Mine were 9 per hour ish most of them is higher or lower than mine 6 Filed complaint toward to other employee But never got sorted as they said they don t have any evidence regarding the CCTV in work Unfortunately they re covered up for this employee as felt like they re discrimination against to my disability 7 When it s in winter they would never use heater in the department They would use heater in the office only instead of care about their employees All I can say is Poor management lacking of leadership and inexperienced employees that they would receive a very brief training Then becoming clueless after very brief training If there s any still constantly negative reviews I d highly suggest to reviewer or former employer to make the complaints to Healthy Safety Executive due the hazardous environments I d encourage you to do this if you reading this

Previously had a conservatory fitted by this company Definately would not recommend leaking roof poor quality and drainage done badly poor customer service skills Not given any documentation for a guarantee or Fensa certificate very very poor I will struggle to sell my home with this
