Salty under cooked food Rib Eye steaks pepper corn sauce and side veg was cooked with far too much salt my work colleague and myself went for lunch in Corn St Bristol The salt in food left our stomachs burning whilst eating our meal We found it odd that the waiter asked if we wanted more drinks but did not ask if we were enjoying the meal in the first instance The day after we both are very unwell in work and both have diarrhoea For the price of the food we were very DISAPPOINTED

Ordered a fillet steak It came served on a massive plate with this tiny little lump of meat No side no dressing no presentation 35 Absolute rip off Poor selection of drinks Had ordered a starter was badly cooked swimming in fat

Disgusting Dirty old place with an awful service Prices are super expensive for a tiny portion of meat The request was well done and it was completely black and hard worse than a BBQ Avoid this place or you ll regret it your whole life

I have never visited a restaurant where I have had to use a torch to read the menu This restaurant is far to dark to be comfortable Putting the cost to one side the portions are to small Disappointed

Changed my steak spuds
I have been here a few times now special trips as we aren t local it s the perfect fine dining experience and amazing chance to have champagne I always order the bavette it s beautifully cooked and always amazing seasoned garlic The staff are amazing very kind and friendly the chefs and waitress couldn t do more to help when I asked for my steak to be cooked more it was my fault they gave me a whole fresh steak and plate of food plus extra dishes I cannot wait to go back next month 200 a visit on the OX WORTH IT

Steak worth falling into harbours for
I am made to feel very unsafe and unwelcome in Bristol these days despite being a generous benefactor However The Ox is a rare gem in an otherwise unfriendly city The Sunday roast here is absolutely splendid and worth every groat I cannot emphasise enough how delicious thine steak is I spent a tidy few guineas here and dined with trusted friends The staff are splendid They worked so hard one may think they were slaves I can t wait to dine here again My most grateful thanks to ye

Bristol s BEST Sunday Roast
My wife and I decided to go for an NYE Sunday roast and we re glad we chose The Ox Quite simply the best Sunday roast dinner we ve ever had in Bristol Definitely beats the Sunday roast at Pasture by miles It was in a league of it s own Perfect in every way The service was impeccable and the overall experience well deserved the 20 tip we paid Will be back soon to try the steak
