Best Nodejs React SaaS starter in 2021
I have been shopping around for a Node js boilerplate for the SaaS I m building During my initial evaluation it came ahead by using React having Json emails having simple to use form components proper security third party login and last but not least full featured mobile app template It took me only a few days to get the shell of the SaaS online and it s been an amazing experience since It almost feels like a no code solution - you just plug in your code into the pre-built template And from the point of view that the code was written for me it was no code indeed

Not mature enough
Unlike pretty much any other SaaS starter kit out there Gravity is non-refundable And given its steep starting price about 900 USD you better be sure you won t regret the purchase as I did After I downloaded the starter kit I followed the instructions pointed out in the documentation to set it up It took a lot longer than expected since one mistake in the configuration e g wrong DB host breaks the wizard entirely exception bubbles up and the whole app needs to be restarted Once I finally managed to get it working I tried to follow the author s tutorial on how to create a Todo app where I had very different results than shown in the video for example layout in my app looked bad while the one in the video was polished although I followed the same steps Eventually I got frustrated since the product just didn t feel polished and mature enough as advertised and there is no way to get a refund even a partial one I ended up buying a RoR starter kit no prior experience with Ruby and I was able to set it up in no time and built a first MVP of my product within a weekend That s the experience I was looking for If you absolutely need a Javascript SAAS starter kit go with Gravity If you don t care about the tech stack as I do there are many other more mature options available based on RoR Asp Net Core or Laravel that will cost you a fraction of Gravity and are refundable Also with mature starter kits your answers are one google query away with Gravity you must join a Slack community for help
