Terrible management of direct debit payment method We were overpaid a council tax refund then hounded with reminders that we had an outstanding balance This was caused by an administrative error by Waltham Forest for which the representative on the phone apologised

You can t talk to someone face to face

You can t talk to someone face to face so you have to call which is fine its not an issue The issue is that you explain to the council tax team on the phone specifically you want a letter with a specific person s name on it Yet they f k it up Three times I called asking for the same thing the idiot woman on the phone made the same mistake I mean how stupid can you be to mess up such a simple request

Attended a family funeral which overran

Attended a family funeral which overran considerably and it was inappropriate to leave mid service to return to the car I expected the service to take an hour but in took two hours and I had paid for a ticket for two hours to give time to walk there and back We ran back to the car to find the officer had just issued a penalty but he assured us that our situation was understandable and so he would add a note to the council so the penalty could be cancelled He advised also that we emailed the council the following day to explain the delay in return to the car He had no doubt that the penalty would be revoked I received a fine of 80 and when I questioned this online as no contact available to discuss the AI was useless and uninformative so I paid the fine Shame on the council for taking this stance A greedy way to make money for the council

I have been living in Waltham Forest for almost 18 years Based on my observations this is the dirtiest and most repulsive council Previously they asked me to pay for something when under the local bodies legislation I was exempt We went to court and after 28 months they lost the case Guess how much that cost the council because of their incompetent finance and legal department employees because it does not come from their pockets For the last 5 weeks I have been complaining about the recycle bin not being emptied I have also contacted the local councilor who happens to be the head of the council too but no result

Waltham Forest council service is complete waste of time booked large item collection they never picked up when you complaint complete form for complaint and is waste of time Never get any resolution Contacted for last 3 years 6 to 8 times email and phone to fix a roof they never dealt with it 0 star if it was They get their wages doing nothing for the Comunity

Used the RingGo app on Wednesday evening to book parking for Thursday using the Tomorrow option to select the date Didn t notice that it set the date to Friday and the next day Thursday Waltham Council gave me a ticket This Parking App is not fit for purpose use at your peril as parking appeals are ignored
