I first heard about L Ecole de Trois from a friend who was planning to go to the school to deepen her French language skills
I first heard about L Ecole de Trois Ponts a few years ago from a friend also a French student where I live in Adelaide South Australia While we began to plan our trip with excitement unfortunately my part in the journey was derailed at that time due to a medical event My friend went on by herself and reported back to me with encouragement her time at the school Unfortunately it was only this year in September 2024 that life opened this door and I was able finally to make the trip L Ecole de Trois Ponts is located in a charming and comfortable home in Riorges south of Paris and about an hour s train ride from Lyon There are separate bedrooms for each student as well as other accommodation options that can be arranged double rooms family stay or apartment It s clear that managing a live-in language school 7 days a week takes a range of significant skills and skilful staff Clearly Valerie-Manager Teacher Tour Guide Driver Program Developer and Hostess has the organisational and relationship- building capacity par excellence with the help of her competent administrative support Mariella These two and their additional staff work together as a solid capable team well able to handle the diversity of culture personality expectations and needs of students who come here from all over the world Valerie is ably supported by a range of personable perceptive and capable staff including but not limited to teachers chef food preparation support cleaner and caretaker Many of the eleven students I met had come to Trois Pont on multiple occasions A British woman had made the journey each year for 17 years for three week periods and returning students often already spoke of plans for their next visit Immersive language learning can be a little intense as each of us welcomed or took on the challenge of speaking French most of each day from 8 am breakfast to 9 ish in the evening We had a daily routine breakfast lunch and a delicious traditional dinner prepared by the diligent chef together with 3 hours of French class My teacher Camille taught four students With a good sense of humour Camille was discerning and supportive as she developed novel and traditional techniques each day to encourage language learning risks In the afternoon a group of us went for randon es in the picturesque French countryside including small villages country enterprises and farming communities Valerie took every opportunity to further widen our understanding of French rural living painted by the social cultural historical agricultural and geographical features These wonderful forays into the country provided ample relaxed time to deepen new friendships in the French language and to balance tradional classes with physical activity in an astonishingly beautiful environment Each visit to this school will strengthen your language skills create new friendships with other francophiles and intensify your understanding of traditional French culture past and present L Ecole de Trois Pont indeed is a unique and enriching engagement you will muse on for years

A Wonderful Week
This was a very memorable week Not only did I improve my French I hope Vincent agrees but the ambience of the school along with the excellent teachers and other staff made it very special Also I really loved the hikes I will definitely be returning

Excellent instruction great food comfortable accommodations
I spent three weeks at Ecole Trois Ponts in June-July 2019 The thing that impressed me most was the quality of the instruction My teachers Valerie Vincent and Genevieve were well-prepared flexible patient and obviously invested in my progress I could see that they had a curriculum progression in mind but they designed the lessons around my interests and needs I really appreciated that they were very positive and encouraging while still correcting me when needed My confidence in speaking French increased tremendously in three weeks The food was amazing my host family was very welcoming and helpful and the excursions were interesting and very reasonably priced I hope to return again soon

Ecole des Trois Ponts is an amazing organization It is run in a very efficient manner but more importantly it is a great atmosphere for learning Small classes great food and exceptional staff Everyone you meet there is fantastic I look forward to returning

Highly recommended French immersion experience
I attended Ecole des Trois Ponts in 2019 and again in 2021 and I took virtual lessons in 2020 The French instruction was excellent and the entire staff of the school was friendly and helpful Each time my knowledge of the language and confidence in using it has improved In addition to language classes the school immerses you in French culture with meals and unique excursions I would recommend Ecole des Trois Ponts to anyone who wants an authentic French immersion experience

What a wonderful week improving my
What a wonderful week improving my French and a highlight of our trip to Europe Valerie and her team are a class act Combining the warmth of a family and a true feeling of belonging with the expertise in education of everyone on the team and a true passion for what they do I have studied French for several years and this was the best learning I have experienced to date by far After reading others reviews we detoured from our original holiday plans to spend a week at cole des 3 ponts and I am so grateful we did I feel more inspired than ever to improve and continue my French journey and I m saving up for the next one I ll be back Thank you for a memorable week even though we experienced le canicule Marianna

I ve already made plans to return
I just returned from my first two weeks at L Ecole des Trois Ponts and I ve already made plans to return My French improved a great deal thanks to the incredible instructors They are professional and engaged in the success of their students The chef was amazing - making lunch and 4-course dinners with wine each evening My room was very comfortable I couldn t have asked for more I can see why students are incredibly loyal to this school and return time and time again I can t wait to go back

Highly Recommended
It is a wonderful place to become comfortable with speaking in french Speaking french during the hikes and all meals helped me to keep the words flowing My teacher was outstanding and the meals were impressive We were able to add an extra visit to a historical event in the local town with the support of the school and we were invited to the town hall afterwards for refreshments with the local community The Director is just a whole bunch of fun The rooms are comfortable and the atmosphere is pleasant I will return
