I ll start by saying I never write reviews as a rule because my time is valuable and you really have to pizz me off for me to waste my time in doing so I made an exception for 4change energy though Complete clown show of a company Don t waste your time Would leave 0 or negative stars if that was an option Signed up with these clowns to replace my current provider I had for the last 5 years when we moved into our newly built home in 2019 One day before the switch was to be made they email me saying I need to contact our TDU Centerpoint because our meter may be inactive or a permit require I called Centerpoint and they said of course our meter is active and no permit is required I phone up 4change customer service and get someone who I can barely understand like they are from some third world country on the other end to look into it and they come back and say my meter needs to be inspected and a permit obtained from my city hall I live in unincorporated Harris county and there is no city hall here I told them to delete my account that I wouldn t be wasting my time with them or this strange process they outlined especially one day before the switch was to be made Needless to say I happened to at last minute accept a new contract with my current provider Discount Power that was a good deal 4change energy can get bent as far as I m concerned

Canceled service 2 months after several
Canceled service 2 months after several failed attempts to contact customer service via phone promised a return phone call never received sent several emails to discuss billing and unclear billing practices via the EFL Not 1 of my attempts to contact the company were returned and now I have been overbilled in excess of 500 No recourse - either don t pay Credit score affected or Small claims court

I was so happy with 4-Change energy the fist year my bill did not go over 250The next year it keept going up more and more each month My bill this month was 425 93 for a 1 900 Sq foot home Then I saw there is a 132 19 delivery fee Aug it was 89 July 106 June 74 may 53 April 49 what the hell is a delivery fee and why different fee I pay on line I get no paper bill my thermostat is always at 75 also I m on a fixed income

Deceptive Practices The ONLY way to get the advertised price let s say 13 cents per kilowatt for up to 2000 100 off Yet when you start getting your bill the charge is NOT the contract price The ONLY way you can get the contract price is to hit 1000kw EXACTLY on the nose Really Yes according to their customer service really Otherwise expect about 17 cents per Kw which at 2000kw that is 350 Add Oncor charges and that is another 115ish then they take off the 100 and your bill is around 365 Biggest scam ever as you are in effect penalized EVERY MONTH The 20 per month remaining contract fee for leaving sounds like a cheaper route at this point

4Change Energy deceptive advertising on Compare Power Compare power shows just a single rate of 11 cents kWh and no button to see the actual rate will vary to as much as over 200 more Their customer service is absolutely terrible AVOID 4CHANGE ENERGY at all costs or you will be very sorry

If there was a lower rating than 1 that is what I would give for 4change energy They offer a deceptive plan much more expensive than competition They offered me a fixed rate but that was a total lie Then their customer service is completely out of touch and will not address your concerns And ofcourse their parting gift with a killer early termination charge Crazy Using them for me is my greatest mistake so far

It has been a nightmare During my first month with the company I tried using their website to pay my bill The site did not take my card After several attempts I contacted their customer service to be informed that they currently do not take Visa but will take Mastercard or American Express which I do not possess I was given an alternative I could go to a local store and pay cash along with the processing fee of the establishment or have my bank pay the bill and provide the company with the tracking number so they could process the payment from their end To perform this task I would have to call them because they do not have a way for the customer to contact them online from their account The lack of customer assistance in this matter has been extremely frustrating Unbelievable I will find another company that values its customers and has processes in place to assist them instead of making the customer do all the work and the company receives all the benefits

Be more transparent with costs Says they don t use billboards for advertisement however be careful with their pricing Was on a Maxsaver 24 and being charged over 0 22 a kw after the delivery charge Offered me 0 13 however that s charge add another 0 07 for a total of 0 20 a kw Be careful
