No notice of gym closure and yet to receive refund Preston
Was informed by email at 9 30am that the Preston gym was due to close for good that evening at 8 30pm first of all this lack of any kind of notice is very poor customer service and 2nd I had just paid up front for 12 months and almost 2 weeks later I am yet to receive a refund that is 120 of my money and I have had to pay upfront to join another gym meaning I am currently out of pocket which is not on Also the lack of communication is really frustrating all s I got when I emailed them was an automatic email saying they would respond in 30 days and not to email again in the meantime as this would delay the process which considering that this company currently has my money is unacceptable my gym which was the Preston branch is not the only Active Nation gym to close down recently I believe they pulled the same trick on the Runcorn branch I think the way this whole thing has been handled rather poorly I am absolutely fuming I would not recommend this gym after what they have pulled I would like to say the staff at the gym itself was excellent but unfortunately it s the higher ups that couldn t run a p up in brewery Avoid this company

The website is awful and often double
The website is awful and often double books you for activities resulting in a 4 day process to get a refund Gyms are dirty budget and old which does not reflect the 31 50 per month price Activenation phone app is awful and does not confirm that you ve cancelled your membership it also withholds your account history if you are no longer a member Overall ActiveNation is a very poor and unprofessional company

BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE - Preston The gym recently closed on 28th August 2024 We were only given one days notice and had to find an alternate gym I had just paid upfront for a whole year and they have not issued me a refund nor will they respond to email Very unprofessional Avoid at all costs Will be getting legal advice

Absolutely awful treatment by this organisation
I paid up front for 12 months at the Runcorn Gym on 12th August - it closed for good one week later No warning - just a note on the door followed by an email I have been chasing for a refund ever since and getting absolutely nowhere I have just sent yet another email to them copying in Stuart Martin CEO who seems to be on leave so forwarded to Roger Michie - let s see if he responds because so far I ve been ignored by the Clubs email and only had a brief acknowledgement from Mr Martin I m so angry at the way we ve all been treated it s disgraceful Update - I have just received an email to say the refund will hit my account in 2 days I ll update again on Thursday Update - refund now received

Yarborough Road
Yarborough Road - I see that these gyms are shutting down quick time Not surprised I call 45 times a day to book a badminton court and can never get through They hate taking your money and providing a service Get them all shut down and run by a company that isn t useless

Appalling customer service
After a disappointing visit to the Preston gym being told I was entitled to a number of free passes I was then persuaded I needed to up front for 12 months which I did reluctantly Before my second attendance I received an email saying that the gym was closed and that I was eligible for a refund After 70 days I am still chasing my refund All emails are ignored and getting hold of anyone on the phone is nearly impossible when I do speak to someone on the phone I am informed that there is nothing they can do and they redirect me to send an email I have delayed writing a negative review up to now due to the charitable nature of the company but this is now beyond a joke This is appalling customer service and I advise anyone thinking of paying for this company s services to attend elsewhere

Would Highly Recommend Active Nation
We are a care home for elderly residents with Dementia and our residents enjoyed the energy coming from all the staff from Active Nation All residents that could all joined in with our first class we had Meeting up with Ashley was interesting he was very knowledgeable about his role and he took time and understanding around our residents needs I am happy to recommend Active Nation to other care homes i visit and managers i speak to Thank you Active Nation
