We dealt with an individual named marc manager of the Austin office They put our friend with cystic fibrosis life at risk by renting us a vehicle that had no external power for an 8 hour trip I highly recommend not doing business with advantage We put together events for terminally sick kids and they rented us a vehicle that had no internal power and achieved 7 miles per Gallon when they told us it was 18 mpg When trying to deal with the situation marc said that he didn t want to deal with giving us a proportionate refund simply because he didn t want to

Do not book Truly shocked by the level of service Cars all damaged to some extent The least damaged car we selected had no cental locking key Do not use Advantage at Orlando Airport MCO I am writing to the booking agents Priceline They usually use quality car rental companies

Deceptive practices

Deceptive practices bait n switch policies It clearly states on Kayaks website site You ll only pay if you arrive for your reservation Now I receive a 50 charge due to me not cancelling my reservation within 24 hours Of course they have a separate policy in their terms and conditions but why wouldnt they include that in the SRP page right under the You ll only pay if you arrive for your reservation comment This is clearly deceptive

I booked a convertible through wisecar

I booked a convertible through wisecar for my honeymoon in hawaii Upon arrival the agent that helped us Jimmy-Jack seemed to be helpful I told him we booked through wisecar and I offered the reservation number He saw I had booked a convertible and said they have two convertibles available mustang or Jeep I took the Jeep and we went on our way The Monday after we returned from our vacation I saw that we were charged double our quoted reservation and wisecar would do nothing about it Extremely disappointed in both companies Wisecar and Advantage scamming customers with a promised low price then once it hits your credit card they play blame game on each other

Incompetence at its best

I booked a car in July via Europcar for collection at JFK on 7th September at 8 00 Along with at least 4 customers in front of us we were told that no cars would be available for at least an hour the girl on the desk being unbelievably complacent and disinterested It says enough that this comnpany is the only one based upstairs at JFK whilst the others have their own bigger offices on the ground floor Not recommended in any way whatsoever We ended up cancelling and booking at Hertz instead as we had a 9 hour drive to Canada to get on with Unsurprisingly we have not yet had a refund 3 weeks later

Horrible Experience

Orlando Airport Advantage July 2018While returning our rental van an Advantage worker backed another rental car into the van as we were unloading it It pushed the van into my bosses knees and nearly knocked him over The worker checking us in acted as if it were no big deal and just looked at us when we asked him if he saw what happened The driver sped away and the girl at the return desk could have cared less After several emails to customer service it was very apparent that they didn t care either We were also overcharged for a service which we declined at the beginning but they tacked it on anyway DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM ADVANTAGE

NEVER rent from Advantage Car Rental Orlando Airport

RA MCO-92604 Out 4 19 23 to 4 26 23 Three issues for the Orlando near Airport place Charged 125 for cleaning All the car needed was a car wash and vacuum I don t smoke so there was no issue with that Emailed and called the company THREE times No response Secondly the person renting me the car said that State toll transponder I own would not work with Advantage cars because they have license plate linked accounts and that I must purchase the daily toll add-on from Advantage Thy guy told me that only cars rented at airport have that flexibility I contacted the State and they indicated that no rental car company can preempt the State s transponder use Thirdly They told me the Travelocity car insurance was garbage and that I needed their insurance I did not do theirs but they took my insurance card for liability coverage I have rented 100 s of cars on business and I will NEVER rent from them again Based upon my experience it seems like they are organized to rip people off

Worst experience with Car Rental ORD

I normally use Enterprise but when I booked my airline ticket through JustFly com they offered what seemed like a great rate for just over a week - just over 500 BEWARE My final charge exceeded 1 000 They have sneaky charges a signing mechanism that use acronyms that are misleading and don t allow you to see the full details and when asked they said it s just the basic contract - it s not an extra up-selling nonstop from the moment you walk in the door and only after you ve signed a mysteriously small space that doesn t reflect the actual document are you provided the entire contract to read And when questioned about charges that are more than twice the original contract lied to about a refund that will be applied when the car is returned Worst experience ever

I would give Advantage no stars if I could We were left stranded at Houston airport No shuttle available to pick up car When I called the main number they were confused and not helpful I canceled the reservation an used Uber Never again will I ever book a reservation with Advantage

Very deceptive tactics

Very deceptive tactic process at the counter They twist words around so they can charge you insurance without consent They say would you like to add insurance or stick with basic So most people using a credit card that provides car rental insurance would decline the insurance offered by the car rental company So I said no thanks just the basic rental At the end of the rental they charged me the basic insurance and insisted that I agreed to it DECEPTIVE
