Did not get what I had booked - no refund and very disappointing administration

I am very disappointed I booked a stopover in Iceland and this wetsuit snorkelling tour to fulfill a dream of mine Two days before the tour they told me they would cancel my tour because of insufficient participants At this point it was too late for me to reschedule because I had booked my stopover in Iceland around this snorkelling trip I had already paid and I was not informed about the possibility for cancelling other then for reasons of weather etc when I booked Luckily further participants signed up later that day so the tour eventually took place When I arrived at the location I was told that the office made a mistake so wetsuit equipment was unavailable I had specifically selected this company for the wetsuit tour so this was a big disappointment My only choice was to join the drysuit tour which I did because I would leave Iceland the next day I contacted the office afterwards several times requesting a partial refund because I did not get the tour that I booked for owing to their fault First they do not answer my emails Later they declined any refund referring to contractual conditions that relate to force majeure This is nonsense because it was purely the company s fault Furthermore the guide pointed to the office s mistake whereas the office stated in an e-mail that it was the guide s mistake No-one wants to take responsibility The location is nice but the administration of this company is absolutely disappointing Book somewhere else with a reputable company
