I bought an OpenComm wireless bone
I bought an OpenComm wireless bone conducting headset with the boom to work with my clients via Zoom training sessions I was very disappointed with the product and the service Learner feedback was that the sound was intermittent and poor quality compared to the in-built microphone on my IMac As I paid 149 95 for a product that clearly advertises it s manufactured for situations where clear diction via the microphone is required Call Centres and Training to hear this feedback was very upsetting The slow and quite frankly disinterested after sales service to return the product was as disappointing as the quality of the product It took me numerous assertive emails to get this sorted out and get my money back Will not be buying from them ever again and will not be recommending them Clearly a lot of expense has been spent on the packaging visual appearance and not enough on the microphone or customer service A case of the shock with Aftershokz is the after sales

Beware the warranty is a worthless bit
Beware the warranty is a worthless bit of card in the box if you use the wrong shop I bought my Titanium headband 6 months ago it came with A 2 year warranty It s been a fantastic head set the audio battery life and fit have been first rate However the glue started to deteriorate and now one side is missing bits Meaning the build quality wasn t great or was at fault because it hasn t lasted 6 months of normal usage So Ive completed the warranty claim via the website as advised on the warranty card in the box Customer service do respond quickly They aren t honouring the warranty because I bought them from a non approved reseller How the warranty isn t a contract between myself and the manufacture I m not sure How I m supposed to know that you have to use their retailers ahead of time Questionable build quality and a worthless warranty I couldn t know was worthless until I needed it makes for a poor score I wouldn t trust them enough to recommend them what so ever

Received my headphones at the start of
Received my headphones at the start of the year and they were great However after using them for 7 months they just stopped working and would not charge at all I have tried contacting customer service twice but I haven t even received a reply which is pretty poor These are not exactly cheap headphones and I would expect them to last longer than 7 months and to receive some decent customer service

Warranty not honoured
Bought a brand new unused still sealed pair of Aeropex AS800 off of an eBay shop in May 2021 and I registered them right away in order to validate the 2 year manufacturer warranty They failed to work in March 2022 but not a problem or so I thought they re covered by a 2yr warranty from the manufacturer I sent in the report using their website with screen grab of my warranty registration I was informed that because I hadn t bought them from an authorised seller as listed on their website that they wouldn t honour the warranty I did challenge this but got nowhere Surely the warranty is to do with the quality of manufacture and wherever you buy from it won t alter the quality control etc when they re manufactured I also think it is unreasonable to expect anyone to trawl a manufacturers website before purchase to see if they re buying from the right place Having previously had this issue why don t Aftershokz raise this at the time of registering the warranty so you can return the item if needs be it should be made clear on the packaging

Awful non existent customer service
Awful customer service for what had been a good product I bought my Shokz headphones in January and used them 2-3 times a week for running They then started to fail to charge in August unless I placed the cable in just the right way and after charging automatically started turning on I reported this and got the standard acknowledgement email but over a week later have heard nothing I have emailed the customer service email linked from the acknowledgement email and still nothing It s a real shame as I enjoyed using these but it feels like once they have your money that s that

Headset damaged following their own instructions but they refuse to do anything about it
Bought some opencomms from ebay They worked fine Then decided to connect to 2 devices multipoint Following shokz own online instructions it told me to first reset the device After doing that the voice no longer told me I was in pairing mode just silence After trying day after day to see if more resets would fix the problem I saw the red blue lights flashing to indicate pairing mode not easy to see when they are on your head and you are listening to voice prompts At that point I did manage to pair to 2 devices but the effort was hardly worth it as the max volume level is now down to very low levels so I cannot hear what s being said Contacting their support service can best be described as impossible It took them over 2 weeks to respond and when they did they were more interested in where I was located then fixing the problem yes the problem that they had caused with their own instructions Then they basically ignored what I was asking and kept telling me that I could not make a warranty claim something I had never asked for Shokz AfterShokz whatever they call themselves it doesn t really matter The most shocking thing is their level of service which is just about zero Be careful while following any of their own online instructions because even though you and I would expect those to not damage the very equipment they were written for somehow Shokz thinks its okay to cause the damage then walk away and leave me with a non-working headset The final analysis a s t company providing very poor after service for flimsy products that just stop working A waste of money Don t buy P S My first draft was refused with the message Your review contains inappropriate language Trust me the language was very appropriate for this company and their products I know its not spelt with a

Aftershokz Aeroplex
Both my husband and myself have a pair of Aeroplex costing 149 a pair Whilst they were brilliant whilst working when running they both developed a charging fault just after the warranty expired Headphones need charging charge until blue light shows Try to use them and get low charge message and headphones turn off Customer services basically said tough they are out of warranty So 149 for 2 year use using them 3 times a week is too expensive in my opinion and won t be buying again And I had recommended them to friends and family who bought them and now I feel upset that they may have faulty products too

Nightmare customer service
While the product itself may be of high quality but expensive at the same time I must caution potential buyers about their customer service Dealing with them was nothing short of a nightmare - they displayed arrogance ignorance and a complete lack of focus on addressing customer concerns Furthermore there seemed to be no established complaints procedure or escalation process in place Navigating their customer support felt like an exhausting ordeal that drained both time and patience In my case it took a staggering 22 emails and the looming threat of legal action before they finally issued a refund
