Oh my God It is time that our government takes a closer look at this company This morning I called the 24 hour car rescue service and they told me it could take up to two hours before they would come Not a problem Four hours later they still had no called So I called back only to be told that the rescue people had called but no one was home That is not true It appears that AIG are using intermediaries to look after their car recovery service Oh by the way I am only entitled to one recovery every 28 days That is according to the person I was speaking to In a nutshell I will be cancelling my policy with these guys asap I have also emailed my TD with the full details of my encounter

Charging customers in every possible way
I have never seen a company charging money to email the documents of my own policy They said that they have already emailed me once and can t email for free again However I didn t receive any email from them I checked everywhere inbox spam bin etc Moreover if it goes to spam it gets deleted automatically after some days so how can one know I seriously despise such companies charging their customers this way I would never go for an insurance policy with AIG in the future even if they give me the best quote They have a lost a customer forever

Very disappointed in AIG
Very disappointed in AIG contacted today at 16 52 to discuss a claim after getting thru all the gdpr stuff I was put thru to claim which hung up on me tried immediately after and same thing happened called then just after 5 to be told it was closed by an automotive voice obviously they do not take calls before 5 pm

Don t even deserve the one star
Don t even deserve the one star I was insuranced with this company for quite some time A named driver had an accident in my car last July I am still trying to get my no claims from them and close off my claim 8 months later I am still waiting which has resulted in me having to take time off work as I cannot get another policy without relevant info The company is a complete shambles and I would absolutely NOT use them again

This insurance company cancelled my daughter s car insurance because of a little dent in the side and took 600 for 3 weeks cover A guy who was sent out to fit a telematics box on the car took photos of the car for almost half an hour without us knowing that he d do so sent the pictures off to the company to get the policy cancelled They claimed that the car was not roadworthy but yet it passed the NCT Seems like they just want any reason to cancel policies so they can keep 600 for no cover I would advise people especially young drivers to avoid this company at all cost

Decided last week to take out my own car insurance after being a names driver on my husband s policy since we got married I needed to provide my new insurance company with names driver experience for 5 years Going back 5 years my husband had been with 4 different companies Insurance companies 123 FBD Aviva and keystone broker all provided letters by email or post at no charge and could not believe me when I told them AIG Insurance company charged me 25 before they would email me my named driver experience letter

Not really interested in retaining customers my insurance renewal is due and went up queried it as no claims or accidents in 7 years full licence and newish car to be told oh you can ring us Cant get through to the calls dept requested a call back over a week ago Will be changing insurer got a much better quote elsewhere for 300 fully comp with all the extras i have now

Cancelled policy without telling me
Renewed my insurance and was told they had all the documents they needed from the previous year no further action needed A week later I got a letter saying my policy is being cancelled I called and when I finally got through they told me that sometimes happens but they had taken care of the issue and all was fine A few days later I pulled in after a 3 hour drive to see a text message saying my policy had been cancelled the night before I was on the road all day with no insurance in place having been told everything was sorted I tried contacting them via phone and message and only got a message back 24 hours later to confirm it was cancelled Not just poor service but very dangerous telling me a policy was in place and then texting that it was cancelled since the day before
