Home away from home Perfect place for someone looking for a simple and peaceful stay yet with all amenities Only 10 kms away from Manali Seema s place as I knew from my sister gave me an experience to carry forever We spent 6 nights in this fairy tale like wooden loft house hidden inside an apple orchard From cooking our own food to sharing local recipes sipping hot cup of tea while completing our daughter s homework during the day to chitchatting in the garden hearing the sound of river Beas go up with sun down all together was such a blend of our life and nature What makes this place special are the the warmth and care that Seema and her husband Subhash ji brings in to their guests With almost no additional house help Seema is always on the go to keep her home clean and guests comfortable Her passion to make her home beautiful and cozy is felt in every corner The stories of trekking and biking we heard from Seema s elder son Abhinav who is currently staying with them took us to a different world of adventure Two of the days we mostly spent on the roads - chasing rivers nature reaching isolated valleys - and what came in as the biggest surprise was great food being freshly prepared and served by a world experienced Chef These will all remain with us as a lifetime experience I have to mention about Chandrataal The endless off-road and cliff hanging drive passing through narrow snow cladded lanes rescuing cars out of swamps dealing with mountain sickness everything was worth seeing this hidden paradise While my sister was the key motivation behind this trek we realised how deeply committed our hosts were to give us the experience we couldn t even think of Chandrataal was a tough long journey to and fro the same day Seema s smile even in the most tensed situation and Subhash Ji s level of patience all throughout made our journey more lively and fun filled amidst the challenges I will never forget how Subhash ji carried my daughter on his back for almost the entire trek The day of check out as I cleaned the kitchen wrapped up our clothes last min and finally started stepping down the uneven stairs that takes a curve below the huge Walnut tree it felt as if this home was calling me back once again as if I was leaving a home behind only to come back soon It is good people who make good places and I have seen Seema and her family being a perfect example of it The emotional connect we made in a week s time is to remain forever

I had issues two times with hosts Airbnb immediately took action and the communication was extremely polite and emphatic I also got refund easily when it adequate was

From a host s point of view

I ve been having Airbnb guests for around four years On the whole it s been a positive experience I ve met some lovely people and have never had a bad experience I am honest in my listing I won t let people book without ID or a posted photo When I have had to contact airbnb they have on the most part been friendly and helpful I know there are bad hosts and reading through the reviews confirms that However some guests are a pain in the ass too A few tips Read the property description and house rules right through - if you are not sure ask the host to clarify Don t arrive with food if a host says there is no kitchen use and expect an exception to be made Don t bring other people or children if a host says the accommodation is for single people Leave time for your travel I know stuff happens but if you are running late contact the host Last of all hosts provide accommodation not travel insurance - I am glad Airbnb are at last being fair to hosts about this If you ve had a bereavement I ll offer my condolences but no refund Same if you are ill or your train or plane gets cancelled I ll tell you to speak to your travel insurance provider Get travel insurance when you go on holiday it s a false economy not to

Thank you airbnb for listening to me and helping me and making me safe I had a bad experience with my neighbour on holiday all I did is pick up the phone and within 4 mins I had a phone call asking me what s wrong You could not do enough for me within 8hrs I was moved away I felt safe and happy I traveled away lots with airbnb but never needed to call for help So for me it s a five star company thank you once again Please keep up the good work It s good to feel safe in people s home and that s what you are good at Once again thank you

Im reviewing my experience with Airbnb customer service agents regarding an issue that came up with a recent booking I made All were professional and attentive but what I noticed most was that any issue raised to them is looked over and assessed by multiple agents not just one Though this means it can take a little longer to resolve issues regardless of the outcome i find comfort in their collective approach to mediating issues and for its objectivity in producing decisions that I can accept Thank u cj juan and others involved in my case for ur contributions
