Terrible interface no customer support no support email address overall looks like a shady abandoned company software

Half baked software -stay away

Half baked software Must thoroughly test before you start using it Even though invoicing works there are so many bugs that you realise it is not worth using Also don t hold your breath for updates bug fixes last major update was just change of theme repackaged old stuff almost no support on the forum the forum is full of questions without answers from developers

OMG SAVE YOUR SELF AND STAY AWAY FRAUD SCAM

Based on our experience we have encountered issues with a company that we believe to be engaging in fraudulent and scamming activities We paid a significant amount high-hundreds or thousands of dollars to the company Akaunting if it s a legal company In one occasion ordering an app expecting to be charged only 48 However we were charged 300 instead Despite purchasing VIP support which promised unlimited tickets and to support the project Furthermore the company cancelled our VIP support subscription having paid 280 per month for it without any explanation Reason The tone leaving us with an expensive and broken solution without any assistance This was when we attempted to report the issues with the software again a secund time with ticket re-opening ticket again explainging it havn t been resolved is having a tone we encountered bad service from the supporter censorship and corruption in the company s ticketing system Our attempts to provide constructive criticism in forums and communication channels were also met with censorship It is important to note that the issues we faced were related to reporting a problem with the software As a result of our experience we strongly advise individuals to avoid conducting business with this company If not there is a risk of significant financial loss due to the company s lack of integrity and poor customer service

Non-existing app support

The don t provide the self advertised Top-notch support on there Apps Developer Akaunting Inc so even after having purchases module back in end of April start of May they don t answer tickets in the support included to the module not even providing a working link to the needed download It should have stated Support included very unlikely and if your are very lucky bare minimum and bottom Be careful putting your money or worse trust of your data in there cloud they will just take your money and not do much work for it

Absolute garbage software

Absolute garbage software There is no free trial and then they pressure you to upgrade I upgraded to the yearly platform and it can t do basic functions like mass editing of imported transactions I asked for a refund and they told me I should have known that from checking the free tier Really junk software

Not worth it any more

The software is full of bugs I used to recommend it only to people with very basic needs due to the fact it was free it wasn t worth it if add ons were required but now they ve decided to charge 12 USD per month for it And to top it all off today is the 4th of October 2023 and they are charging people as of the 10th of October to keep using it That is less than one weeks notice This creates the impression they are desperate for money as they ve given very little notice and tried to give what appear to be very generous discounts for annual subscriptions 8 USD per month instead of 12 USD Please consider using Quickbooks or Recon instead Both have better functionality far less bugs for a similar price

I ve been a loyal user of Akaunting for quite some time but recently they ve changed their what was open-source license GPL to BSL which makes it source available meaning that it s no longer open source Also and the reason for the one-star review when I have raised it as an issue on their github repo to let them know that transfer to BSL might be illegal as some of the source code has been contributed by community which I do not believe they have asked permission to change license for they ve banned me After posting the issue I was swiftly banned from making comments on their repo and my issue was deleted I m sure this is highly illegal and I would advise anyone to not invest time in the software Just to be clear I did reach out to them via contact form on their website to ask why this was done but they have not responded Also to reinforce what s already been said by other reviewers the software is very buggy it has it flaws but I hoped those would get fixed with time which being said it never had been and so now I am no longer considering but am actively moving away from Akaunting I should write how they can improve but I don t think there is any recovering from this

Seems a scam

Seems a scam They advertise as a free service and several months of using their accounting program they send a mail stating that your trial suscription will be over by a specific date which happens to be the following day so that we do not have much time taking all the info off their program Also the program makes many mistakes in simple calculations

No longer free and not very good

Having used the free cloud hosted offering to support my daughter s small business for some time I was completely stunned to find that I am locked out of the system now unless I pay Basically they re holding my data to ransom There was no warning that this would happen and they are still promoting the software as free I have opened several questions on their forums asking why they have acted as they have and each time they have deleted the question unbelievable The package was adequate for a business in its early days and I d hoped it would mature to support the business as it grows and could afford to pay for a better service but this hasn t happened I would advise anybody thinking of using Akaunting to avoid it
