Purchased a motorhome in September 2022
We purchased a motorhome from them a year ago A huge investment for us From then began a catalogue of disasters It continued to have big faults and spent so much time back with them We cancelled holidays plans etc all because it was not roadworthy The only person there with sense was Dan the mechanic I could not fit it all their mistakes here It caused depression tears and so much more I am disabled and we got stranded because it would not start Be wary

WARNING do NOT buy a vehicle from this
Purchased a motorhome in September 2022 which had numerous issues and had to reject the vehicle Eventually after 3 months we agreed to purchase another motorhome as we could not get our money back The brand new motorhome has a number of issues but the main issue is water ingress which is very concerning After numerous emails i have now had a reply to say they cannot fit the motorhome the workshop until September so more than 10 weeks after I first made them aware of the issues The motorhome cost me 92 500 so you would expect a lot better after care Would not advise any purchasing of a motorhome from this company shocking customer care

Buyer beware
WARNING do NOT buy a vehicle from this shower We bought a T5 from them come to find out it had no service carried out before delivery the new MOT they put on it was fake it should not have passed as we had an independent VW Specialist go over the van The cambelt was not done as promised all in all a right shambles Don t bother to pay for the extra warranty as the after sales is a joke They don t reply to emails or answer the phone YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED Only wish I d read the other reviews wouldn t of went anywhere near them

Avoid this dealer
They are not interested once they have payment They do not return calls and just pass you around from one to the other Issues not resolved and have been left with a very expensive vehicle not fit for use Owner Alan Kerr very rude sarcastic and disrespectful thinks he s funny Vehicle not prepped as we arrived to collect after a two month wait They were given four chances to correct issues yet the same ones kept occurring that are still unresolved We made a deposit in May did not get the vehicle until August used and had to return for issues twice then started leaking through roof contacted to reject the vehicle as this was the last straw while still in warranty they wash their hands of it and refused to accept it back We are now having to take things further to resolve Do not buy from them it will cost you and is more hassle than it s worth Worst experience with something that should have been exciting Extremely disappointed

Be careful do your homework check paperwork before purchase
Unfortunately we must agree with many other reviews I would suggest avoiding this company if you can help it The main issues are extremely poor communication and unkept promises We bought two vans from Alan Kerr - very happy with the first van but our second purchase was a problem from start to finish - nothing wrong with the van just the attitude of the staff and owner Alan - months would go by without any communication- only ever heard from them when we got in touch Alan is an old school second hand salesman - he is convincing but does not keep to his word They had our van for over three months on a sale or return basis - never got an agreement from them even after much chasing Went to collect today and there were two faults that were not there when we had left it with them - it looks like they had removed a control panel to use on another van and left us with a faulty one - totally untrustworthy - AVOID

Van that never was
I can only add to this list of poor reviews which is sad for a family run business which i had hoped to support I don t like submitting poor reviews but our experience was so bad I feel I should warn others to not make the same mistakes we did When I read the other poor reviews after submitting a deposit on a van I believed it when told they were vexatious or about minor issues and that we could trust them to delivery a trouble free 3 year old motorhome and buyers experience Safe to say the problems were so serious we successfully argued that a full refund and return of the motorhome was the only acceptable outcome after 7 days of ownership I am sure there are many happy customers but there is a dearth of reviews here to confirm this If you do buy a van from Alan Kerr my advice would be to CHECK EVERYTHING especially the paperwork and get a pre-purchase independent inspection conducted regardless of the age of the vehicle We were too blase and nearly paid the price We learned very valuable lessons about what too be aware of when buying a motorhome when we though we would be safe buying from a dealer rather than a private seller Saying that we are aware of a buyer who bought from a private seller and had a similar issue but wasn t able to get a significant refund so that aspect was definitively a plus for us

Avoid there s no more to say
Total lack of communication between AK and customer Ordered Knaus Tourer at NEC October 2022 show for delivery June 2023 Checked in with them in January and February and told everything going to plan June came and went July came and went nothing heard from them Contacted them in August to be told that Germany was on Summer break and therefore couldn t give any update Also asked about payload sales rep didn t really have an answer so had to research myself September contacted them again and told that the van was awaiting shipment It arrived late September but then waited for 2 months whilst DVLA gave their certification Finally late November got my first direct contact from AK they had the van but the price had increased by 7000 Told them I wouldn t be paying the extra they went back to Knaus and after 2 weeks was told that they had managed to arrange a price fix guarantee not sure why this wasn t done in the first place AK then sent registration docs to DVLA and just before Christmas 2023 got a letter from DVLA me thinks that the van is mine and i can go and collect not such luck DVLA had rejected the registration So sent the rejection letter back to AK who then submitted the documentation back to DVLA Mid January got another letter from DVLA again rejecting the registration By now i had had enough and asked for my deposit to be returned I checked my bank statement a week later to find that the deposit had been returned but got no communication from AK saying they had returned the deposit or apologising for the hassle they created I suppose they were happy in that they could now sell the van for nearly 15000 more than they had contracted to sell to me Deeply disappointed with how AK failed apart on one occasion to communicate with me

Buyer beware
Buyer bewareI bought a used vehicle from this company in April this year 2024 Which like most have a few faults valeting and wear and tear and it was agreed with the sales rep these would be corrected At the same time I asked for a gas flow system be fitted On the day of handover I found it had not been valeted as promised and my wife and I were kept waiting for over two hours without explanation as to why the delay I also found the gas filling nozzle on the gas flow system had been fitted inside the vehicle When we did take possession of our vehicle and our way home the engine developed a fault We also found the roof needed work so under warranty we returned the vehicle the next day The company agreed to rectify these faults but it took ten weeks for me to get my vehicle back I was constantly on the phone to them time after time even speaking to a manager who again promised to get it sorted this did not happen I put in call after call getting no help whatsoever from the management They appear to have no aftersales policies the attitude is we have your money goodbye I would not recommend this company Please be aware before you buy Think twice

Disappointing Experience We are really disappointed at the
We are really disappointed at the moment with the after sales care that we have had We have a swift that has developed a leak in the door that doesn t seem to be able to get fixed at the moment we are on our 4th visit to and fro only we feel abit annoyed to say the lest she isn t 12months old yet the van but we feel that we have spent more mileage going to their workshop then enjoying it someone said in an earlier review that once you part with your money that seems to be it the after care is rubbish at the moment and we feel that we get fobbed off we don t recommend buying anything from them as a result of this so beware
