Terrible service
If you re looking for a reliable efficient and stress-free removal company DO NOT CHOOSE Alexander Removals L T D I recently retired to Spain and needed a removal transport service to carry all of my personal belongings as well as large items like furniture and a gym set from the UK to Spain It was agreed with the sales agent called Alfie that a low loader would be best However on the 15 07 24 a hire van with a tail lift turned up at my premises This disorganisation as well as lack of communication within the company forced me to leave some of my belongings behind Everything was rammed into the back of the small van with little care taken resulting in multiple damaged pieces of expensive furniture I was then contacted by Alfie again where he stated I was to pay an extra 2374 because the vehicle was overweight And if I refused to pay the extra cost then my belongings would be returned back to my premises with an extra cost of 1000 The small hire van was so overweight that it was ILLEGAL to drive on the roads 1211kg overweight to be exact That van should never have left my premises I had no other option but to pay the extra weight charges When my belongings arrived in Spain on the 01 08 24 there was NO tail lift on the van How was I supposed to get my three seater sofa and a large heavy metal gym out of the van It took several people and a day of strenuous work to unload the van One of the items that was damaged was a brand new Air Conditioning unit which I clearly marking as fragile and there was a sign saying this way up in black marker pen The communication that has followed between myself and Alexander Removals L T D has been nothing short of appalling I was in contact with the company where I was told that John the transport manager would be in contact with me that same day Despite claiming to cover up to 40 000 in damage insurance I heard back from neither John nor Alfie I have contacted multiple trading associations who have never heard of this disgrace of a company leaving me with no resolution no explanation and no compensation If you want to keep your goods and your wallet in tact I strongly advise you to stay away from Alexander Removals L T D

Told by alfie case closed I ve put honest reviews about this company on trust pilot about this companies terrible service we received I will keep putting reviews on here as yell com have blocked my reviews going live because alexander removals ltd complained complained about what The truth so because they pay yell com for the advertising and they don t like the reviews left they complain and yell remove and block so alexanders removals ltd on yell are not totally true because any negative reviews are removed very poor Tut tut alfie

Terrible company Avoid
Terrible company - Delivery was 8 days later than promised - Delivery was announced with 3 hours notice instead of the promised 48 I had to cancel an appointment on short notice to be able to receive my goods - Items were terribly secured in the truck and arrived damaged - Communication was appaling - Made me pay overweight charges which might have been legitimate - though hard to know for sure a day after the promised delivery So they just stored my staff in their warehouse till after they were supposed to deliver - Damage claim was denied because apparently this has to be done within 24 48 hours In short Avoid this company

Back here again leaving a truthful comment about the awful service we received off alfie and Alexander removals ltd We left comments on yell com but had them removed because alexander removals didn t like hearing the truth So if your here reading this don t use them terrible company and there star rating on yell com is totally false because anyy comments they don t like they complain to yell com and because yell com are getting paid from alexander removals they remove all bad comments terrible set up tut tut alfie

AVOID AT ALL COSTS - SCAMMERS AND THIEVES
AVOID AT ALL COSTS Absolute scammers Our stuff never arrived it was stranded in the middle of France We had to rent our own van and force the driver to send us his location so we could collect it ourselves When we finally arrived to transport it all - they had been sleeping on our stuff and items were missing Whenever we called to resolve it Alfie promises someone will get back to us - and no suprise they haven t Absolute scammers and awful awful liars

AWFUL Relocation
AVOID at all costs We relocated from the UK to France in May 2024 paying for next day delivery to Lille 3 days later Alfie had no idea where our belongings were They contract out their removals to drivers who lie about their whereabouts - we eventually found all of our belongings via a tracker after hiring our own van at additional cost at a random petrol station in the middle of nowhere 300km away from our new home in Lille The van supposedly had broken down but we had literally witnessed them driving it whilst at the petrol station Even worse the drivers opened and STOLE our new bedding to sleep in the back of their van We have images and videos to prove this This was genuinely horrifying Alfie admitted to us over the phone that we should have a full refund for this awful experience After following up with him multiple times he went radio silent Are you not ashamed Do you have any values Shameful customer service at one of life s most stressful

If your here reading this review about alexander removals ltd then think twice about using this awful company if I was you I wouldn t even think twice DO NOT USE ALEXANDER REMOVALS LTD My furniture was damaged photos submitted Alfie said it would be sorted Guess what case closed useless lying crap company Don t believe all there reviews on yell com as if you leave a negative like what I had done yell com take the post down because alexander removals complain and say its not true and when you complain to yell com guess what they block you and don t allow you to post anything else tut tut alfie

Criminal organisation
Unexplained overweight charges 1 week late delivery repeated explanations of delivery going missing being that the van broke down the man who delivered our goods late was dressed inappropriately for the job had clearly been sleeping in the van and was not physically capable of lifting our belongings He refused to even use the elevator and at one point tried to leave half way through the job because he was worried about the police Something really fishy is happening here and I would urge anyone considering giving money to these people to look elsewhere We ve had to go to court to get money back from this company and I recommend anyone else who has had a similar experience to do so so these men can be held responsible
