Good luck with your rollover
I am trying to rollover my retirement acct from my former employer to my new employer Interestingly both use Alight yet this has not simplified any if it Spent hours going between the two entities trying to reach a representative Had to create pins repeatedly hang up and call back with each pin created to log in again Waited two weeks for the check mailed in all the paperwork and heard nothing for 2 months when the check was mailed back and I was told to start the whole process over again due to a missing document one Alight never sent to the other Alight No email letter or call prior to the check being held and expiring This company is an absolute nightmare to deal with Called back about the whole mess and was told a ticket was created That s it No care or concern no explanation for their incompetence at all

POOR Customer Service
Worst customer service I have ever experienced It is impossible to speak to someone who can help with the RRA program YSA component PLUS you get a 3 page document read to you while waiting on a hold When you finally do get someone on the phone you are transferred to a 2 - 3 hour wait time on hold Or if you select the option to have a call back in the queue no one ever calls back

Would give this HSA custodian zero
Would give this HSA custodian zero stars if I could Horrible experiences time after time First this company closed my HSA when I quit my employer Um hello HSAs are supposed to be owned by the employee and can be accessed even if you are no longer employed with the organization that was depositing your contributions and ONLY your contributions into this account They then proceeded to tell me I couldn t transfer my money into my new HSA custodian as I needed to have my account transferred to a retail account So after weeks of trying to get this sorted out with them it finally got transferred Now I m waiting for them to transfer my funds to my new custodian and every time I call I get a different story from every rep I talk to It s been a month now and I still haven t seen my funds be transferred to my new custodian This company is an absolute joke If your employer uses this HSA provider good luck you will need it as you will most likely get the run around too

Refuses to update after last year s errors
The major Southern university system from which i retired REQUIRES that i sign up with ALIGHT since they bought from AON if I am to get YSA reimbursement - my only retirement benefit AON was a dream - smooth superlative service ALIGHT is a nightmare Website perpetually wrong never fixed Reps just repeat the idiocy I see on the screen Had a horrible experience getting them to not cancel my wife s YSA despite her having clear proof of medical enrollment THROUGH Alight Now site says can t get info on your plan but if u want just keep ur current plan Anthem Blue Cross They HAVE Anthem Blue Cross same plan name listed below but at different rate So will the new plan keep her in ALIGHT We have called twice So hard to update BBB needs to close ALIGHT down the comments here seem unanimous

Horrible on reimbursing your HRA
I am a retired flight attendant from America airlines If I could give them a zero stars I would I have a HRA they manage and every other time my husband sends in his pay stubs for medical premium reimbursement they deny it We draw arrows to the dates stating this is a new paystub and it ends up being denied stating duplicate I totally believe whoever is training these people must be incompetent Other tan holding there hand when we call in and walking them through the paystub they don t get it Oh yes and when you call in you will be transferred 2 or 3 times and on the phone for one hour Do not go with this company horrible service and the only way we get results is to call AA and retiree rights services to get reimbursed It s so bad AA is switching to fidelity in a couple of months Thank God

In an era where financial security and customer service should go hand in hand my experience with Alight has been nothing short of a nightmare This isn t just a rant born out of a minor inconvenience it s a cautionary tale for anyone who values their hard-earned money and expects a semblance of respect from their 401k management company Firstly the unthinkable happened my 401k money vanished into thin air Imagine logging into your account only to find that your retirement savings have disappeared No warnings no explanations just a gaping void where your financial security used to be This wasn t a mere glitch it was the beginning of a three-month-long ordeal that exposed the horrible incompetence at Alight The resolution if you can call it that came only when I escalated the matter directly to a manager threatening legal action unless the issue was resolved forthwith It s a telling indictment of Alight s customer service ethos that only the specter of legal entanglements could make them act Even then while the funds mysteriously reappeared the entire history of transactions did not It s as if they managed to find the book but lost all the pages Moreover the apathy displayed by Alight s customer service was astounding It became painfully clear that because their monopoly is secured by employer contracts they have little to no incentive to address client grievances with the urgency and empathy they deserve My concerns were met with indifference my frustration was seen as a bother and the message was clear I was nothing more than an annoying nuisance to them The final straw was my attempt to withdraw a loan from my 401K an endeavor that should be straightforward but turned into an agonizing waiting game It has been 14 days and the funds are nowhere in sight Each inquiry is met with a shrug and an unknown from the customer service representatives The realization that you don t truly have control over your own money is both infuriating and terrifying Alight has demonstrated a flagrant disregard for accountability a total absence of customer service and an operational incompetence that borders on the criminal They are custodians of people s futures yet they act with a shamelessness that is baffling If there s any advice I can offer it s to steer clear of Alight if you value your financial wellbeing and expect to be treated with a semblance of respect They are without a doubt a disgrace to the industry a company where your financial security and peace of mind go to die Shame on Alight for their egregious mishandling and utter lack of decency

No accountability for costing me FSA savings
A customer service representative assured me that I would have access to my FSA funds after switching accounts I switched based upon this information and lost the funds I had saved I reached back out and they did not take any accountability and did not care about the mistake they had made
