Worst assistance recovery in 40 years
This company merits 0 not even 1Avoid this company This is long but read it and see how I was treated I ve had Allianz FR for nearly 9 years I live in France When on holiday in the UK 10 miles from London I asked for assistance at 7pm at night and it was refused telling me they couldn t do it because if the car suspected flat battery couldn t be repaired the nominated garage would be shut They MADE me nominate a garage and promised a 9am appointment would be booked for recovery I had to stay at a friends in a rural street and couldn t go to the Supermarket which is what I wanted to do Not an emergency but that s not the issue At 7 54am the next morning I was woken up by the UK caller handler telling me the recovery would be 11am They informed me that France should not make appointments I refused to wait telling the call handler to find another garage that I was 10 miles from London and this was ridiculous I asked her to call me back This didn t happen No return call which is impolite I now understand that it is Allianz France who DIRECTS the dossier not the UK re the decisions After one hour the UK didn t call back In fact I received no information even on who would be attending which is a safety issue I still don t have the garage name two days later because trust me they ll be getting a review I called Allianz FR again who said they would email Allianz UK and request a quicker recovery What a joke I got recovery 1130am 16 hours after the call FLAT BATTERY What horrified me was 1 Allianz Uk said France shouldn t make appointments 2 France spoke to me in their normal you will listen manner I had to cut their call off as I thought the recovery agent was calling me they never even called me back to my horror they simply sent a text saying call us back to tell us if you still need our help if the recovery for 11am Did they think the car would suddenly start itself I called France immediately and they said my dossier was blocked as someone else was dealing with it They spoke to me appallingly that s how France speaks to its customers They talk you listen and don t argue You re NOT important 3 In conversation The Recovery driver told me he had NO mechanical exams and was an ex tyre fitter4 the recovery driver said I m stuck in Fg traffic having told him not to swear he stood by my car and to my absolute horror said People in this country drive like Cs 5 wasn t asked to even sign anything and that s not correct I still dont even know the name of the company 6 I wasn t even given the usual text re the garage coming any passing recovery could have stopped 7 no questions of whether as lone female I was safe This was the most horrific experience as a car driver and insured person in 40 years I will return to France I have notified my broker already I will change my house and two car insurances from Allianz for which I pay the exorbitant sum of 230e a month I will now find the email address for the CEO of Allianz Fr and email him directly I am truly disgusted Read this and don t use Allianz

Unexplained denial of claim awful company
I purchased travel insurance for my daughter and myself which included coverage for interruptions to travel My travel was indeed interrupted and we were forced to purchase new airline tickets and pay for one night at a hotel I claimed around 1100 and provided all necessary paperwork 4 months later after sending an email experressing my displeasure at the long wait for a response I received a refusal letter 5 minutes after my email was sent The letter did not explain why the claim was refused and even reitterated that interruption to travel was covered by my policy To quote their refusal letter We note in the information and or documents provided in your statement that the event that caused your claim isnot covered by the insurance contract to which you have subscribedAccording to our conditions terms along with your insurance certificate you are not covered for the cancelationguarantee Here are the guarantees for which you are insured Assistance Urgent medical and hospitalisation costs abroad 200 000 or 300 000 for USA and Canada perperson and per insured period including in case of illness due to a pandemic epidemic e g Covid-19 Medical repatriation Assistance in the event of death Interruption or extension of the trip From this letter it is unclear if they ever even examined my claim and I doubt they did Truly awful company zero accountability who do not even bother to explain why they refuse to honor their policies I will report this to the relevant consumer protection authorities in France until something changes but better to stay clear of this group altogether I wish I could leave negative stars

A FRAUDULENT COMPANYInitially Allianz seemed like a good bet to cover our insurance needs We thought that we had reasonable coverage until we got burgled and made a claim Then we saw their true colours They were exceedingly slow to process our claim and finally after much persuasion they paid for the damage caused by the burglars Eventually after more prevarication they decided that they would only pay for stolen items for which we had receipts Anything classed as valuables they said were not covered at all In effect this meant that of all the items stolen there was only one item that they would pay for How many of you keep receipts for all your possessions and is it even possible Of course Allianz know this and cynically use it to their advantage AVOID ALLIANZ LIKE THE PLAGUE THEY ARE NOTHING MORE THAN THIEVES UNE ENTREPRISE FRAUDULEUSEAu d part Allianz semblait tre un bon choix pour couvrir nos besoins d assurance Nous pensions que nous avions une couverture raisonnable jusqu ce que nous soyons cambriol s et que nous fassions une r clamation C est alors que nous avons vu leurs vraies couleurs Ils ont t extr mement lents traiter notre demande et finalement apr s beaucoup de persuasion ils ont pay pour les dommages caus s par les cambrioleurs Finalement apr s plus de tergiversations ils ont d cid qu ils ne paieraient que pour les articles vol s pour lesquels nous avions des re us Tout ce qui tait consid r comme des objets de valeur n tait pas du tout couvert En fait cela signifiait que de tous les articles vol s il n y en avait qu un seul qu ils paieraient Combien d entre vous gardent des re us pour tous leurs biens et est-ce m me possible Bien s r Allianz le sait et l utilise cyniquement son avantage VITEZ ALLIANZ COMME LA PESTE CE NE SONT RIEN DE PLUS QUE DES VOLEURS

They don t pay
Apparently in France when you have a Mutuelle they are in charge of paying some of the money of the visit 30 to the doctors Allianz doesn t pay them so I had to pay myself and then ask Allianz to try them to pay me back which is not always the case In several times Allianz didn t pay me back and I had to ask them 5 times with calls emails photos of the bills And I m sure that I forgot to ask for some money and I have lost it it s impossible to check every single payment and verify if you got your money back Normally in a normal Mutuelle it s automatically in the exceptional case we have to advance the money they give our Money back without asking the doctor always inform them electronically Allianz is a waste of time and also the money close to a Scam as they don t pay my money back

If i could rate Allianz France especially Allianz in Chamonix I would rate it with 0 stars Even better -5 stars They have mistreated us from the very start when our apartment was damaged due to a water leak in another apartment in our building After 2 years of email-meetings-phone calls to try to resolve the situation we finally gave up and agreed on a small amount just to close the topic We have now changed from Allianz to another insurance company and will do so for other property we have as well Never more Allianz stay away from this company Si je pouvais noter Allianz France en particulier Allianz Chamonix je lui donnerais 0 toiles Encore mieux -5 toiles Ils nous ont maltrait s d s le d but lorsque notre appartement a t endommag cause d une fuite d eau dans un autre appartement de notre immeuble Apr s 2 ans d emails-rencontres-appels t l phoniques pour essayer de r soudre la situation nous avons finalement abandonn et convenu d un petit montant histoire de clore le sujet Nous sommes maintenant pass s d Allianz une autre compagnie d assurance et nous le ferons galement pour d autres biens que nous avons Plus jamais Allianz restez loin de cette entreprise

Stay clear unless you like to waste your time and money They don t send the copies you ask for they can t find your checks when you pay but they can higher your subscription They write you off even when you tell them you re away they don t tell you outright that the other driver wasn t insured so you pay the franchise need I continue

Worst service I ve ever received
They said they made a payment to my account on the 30th September Then it ll be by Friday 28th October then wait two weeks now they still haven t responded to my complaint by email nor have they called me as they said they would this week I m still waiting for the payment that they said they ve made twice Edit I ve sent a complaint and contacted the ombudsman for advice as that is the next port of call or taking them to the small claims court Ridiculous and dishonourable way for a company to behave Edit thankfully I received notice that the payment came on the 18th November so should be there tomorrow Phew Very pleased to have it resolved and that someone was keen to help and make it work out

These people are and by a country mile THE worst people I have EVER had the misfortune to do business with which should more accurately be described as been ROBBED by Never would I have believed that a company that I chose in the mistaken belief that they SHOULD be reputable were to prove to be THE most unresponsive unhelpful and outright tellers of untruths that could ever be imagined Them and their agents Frank Haloche Ernee 59 were from first to last a THE MOST BUREAUCRATIC i e Time Wasting ever and full of promises of action and platitudes in respect of a small internal house water leak ceiling repair that after months of inaction I ended up EVEN WITH A BROKEN LEG doing the repair work BY MYSELF I could not be more strident in my view that THIS COMPANY CANNOT BE TRUSTED EVEN WHEN THEY PROMISE ACTION DATES FOR HOME VISITS etc I promise you these people SHOULD NEVER BE ENTRUSTED and you would do well to TOTALLY AVOID THEM

I took out insurance for tickets to a rugby match in Paris in May and also a corporate entertainment package It clearly stated illness cover in bold letter on the policy I developed Covid and I became very sick Allianz Mondial will not refund me my money as they say the policy does not cover Covid - which is an illness This company which is one of the biggest names in the world have the most appalling attitude I need the money urgently to help pay medical bills from long Covid Do they care No Shocking how they get away with this How does the CEO Oliver Bate allow their reputation to be tarnished by being so dishonest Best advise Do not buy tickets using this company - they do not honour their insurance pledge
