A beacon of Light

Due to the covid pandemic our lives have been altered as citizens of the world beyond prior comprehension As a food lover I have watched with sadness the negative impact the restrictions have had on a number of my favourite haunts and many a moments silence has been observe to honour the fallen institutions These trying times have however given birth to a new wave of innovation and adaptation in the gastronomic industry and beyond and despite my lamentation I write this review with a smile on my face as All in a box is the embodiment of this My first experience of the company came during its infancy under its former guise Bbq in a Box when it was launched during the covid spring summer 2020 to offer an alternative during bbq season I was initially sceptical due to the competitiveness of the market and inclination to support my local butcher However i took a leap of faith as i liked what I saw and ordered a bbq box with prawn skewers jerk chicken burgers halloumi and vegetable sides Not only was my faith rewarded I was converted baptised and will volunteer in the local community There is something about home cooked properly seasoned food that hits different and i would say the burger was up there with the best ive had in london and the jerk chicken went beyond that Ive only had better in Negril and its not quite as accessible The point of this background is to express to the reader of this review that these guys clearly know what they are doing The company has evolved to suit the demands of our palettes roast in a box autumn christmas in a box and its current incarnation of all in a box I have eaten at many of the headline acts in the london meat scene including Hawksmoor Blacklock Goodman and the meat on offer here is at least as good and in the case of the chicken and beef better In my humble opinion As equally impressive are the often neglected sides I never though red cabbage could be memorable I do now Whether you want a roast a bbq or soon even a brunch according to the website that is clearly made with love and care try this place out Take a leap of faith and I ll see you in church
