APPROACH WITH CAUTION if considering this company to build or fix your swimming pool We commissioned them to replace our pool liner which when removed revealed maintenance work required to the pool base and screed which had broken down This repair work was agreed and paid for in advance to secure their schedule The day before the work was scheduled to commence a severe thunderstorm was forecast for that day so I contacted them to question the suitability of screeding a pool with such a pending downpour Their response was one of complete dismissive concern with no option or consideration to reschedule so without any choice or compromise the work went ahead They began by removing the old screed and then commenced with rescreeding the base of the pool as the storm clouds so evidently began to form As the fresh wet screed lay naked to the elements the storm so predictably broke - violently washing all their efforts into a floating sludge If it was not for all the distress that was to follow the comedic sight of the workmen scrambling frantically to cover their work from the torrent of rain would have been quite hilarious This concluded the days events as the storm ran its course and the workmen retired for the day It was then in the aftermath of the storm that the true fate of things to follow began to unfold Having inspected the pool site in the aftermath of the storm we contacted Ambassador Pools to establish when they would be back to re-do the work and begin over This was met with a very concerning and nonchalant oh don t worry there is no need for that we ll just bring some quick dry cement to fix the base on the day of the liner installation Really not the response of a professional trades company Our response being but there is no pool base to fix its a floating mess You really need to come and remove it and start over echoing our previous concerns that the storm was likely to have been an issue Sadly this is when the tone from Ambassador Pools became very unsavoury and adamant that no work to rectify matters was ever going to happen and that the liner installation would continue as planned In short they would come and install the new liner upon what can be shown in the picture as a swamp pond Naturally not content with this response but faced with little option we decided to decommission Ambassador Pools from the job before they could make matters any worse And having pre-paid for the so-called work to be done requested a full refund on the basis that no value had ever been gained from their efforts in fact their efforts had resulted in extensive damaged to the pool Ambassador Pools refused to acknowledge their failures offered no means of resolution and refused to refund any of the hundreds of pounds given to them in commissioning the work Thankfully this story did come with a very happy ending along with total appreciation and admiration for our new pool supplier Neptune Swimming Pools in Hampshire who thankfully came to the rescue and did the most fantastic restoration of our destroyed swimming pool Our swimming pool restoration is proudly featured upon their website Ambassador Pools are simply a bunch of cowboys with no regard for customer service or any duty of care They are all about doing the bare minimum and quick fixes hiding a multitude of sins that will ultimately cost you dearly I strongly advise any one to reconsider any plans to engage with Ambassador Pools and should you choose to do so agree payment only upon satisfactory completion Ambassador Pools is owned and run by the Bailey family who also own 1st Direct And you have to love the absolute irony in their strap-line Making Leisure A Pleasure - if only Update Since posting this review and exposing the truth to assist others in not becoming victims of such poor service shocking workmanship and financial loss I have received threatening demands to remove this review What does that tell you about the nature of this company I rest my case your honour

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY OR 1ST DIRECT POOLS they are the same company They completely ignore their returns policy and the consumer rights act 5000 WORTH OF FAULTY HOT TUB They are now completely ignoring us Good luck if you do buy from these jokers

Was charged to build a pool over a year ago in my backyard and to this date has not been completed Per our local regs we need to pull permits for this pool and those permit require footers to be dug for the deck To this date a pool is up footers are not dug permit is still open and we get nothing but a run around from the owner DANNY about getting these footers dug I have gone so far as to say all I want him to do is to dig the footers and I will fill with concrete yet this was his job as per the permit that he knew about and tried to skirt based upon his regs in another state and jurisdiction Would not recommend ambassador pools for building your pool they fail to see job is complete and take your money and try to run But DANNY know who you are dealing with first before you try to run cause this type of business practices will be sure to come back and haunt you Would not recommend ambassador pool at all for install

Having purchased a pool heater a year ago we called them out as heater not working properly had 2 years warranty yet they would only come out to look at if if they charged us 120 for a 30 minute visit we had no option as heater was not working correctly The man that came out said it was working and it is if you raise the thermostat to say 32 to get pool to heat up to 26 Great so we have paid 120 when something is under warranty when we complained no empathy shown will not use them or recommend again

Just received my refund through Paypal from these charlatans The worst company I have dealt with in the last 30 years so rude and totally ignore the Consumer Rights Act 2015 A special shout out to Stephanie and Mike who are quite honestly the last people I would have working for my company - extremely rude and officious not how I expect to spoken to Thank goodness I paid via Paypal because they will not give you your money back for faulty goods instead try and get you in to their Warranty system Don t reply to emails Also trade as 1st pools direct BEWARE

I had a liner replaced by this company and subsequently had some issues with the new liner They refused to visit and inspect without being paid When they did come to resolve the issues they said the screed had degenerated visited for half a day Their customer service is poor and I fear all they are interested in is being paid

Regrettably Danny the owner is a poor business man and has very questionable business practices They installed my pool liner by a guy who said I have never done this but I can try First mistake Giant wrinkle required the liner to be replaced which was done timely but when you drain all10k gallons from a pool that was filled just a month before for 1k at the homeowners cost you would think the company would refill the pool completely Instead Danny only sent one truck load and left the pool 3k gallons short When I called three times and left messages it was not until I informed him my next call was to the BBN and State AG office did I get a ride call back with vailed threats and attempts of intimidation It s not the 500 to complete the fill it s the principle and business ethics that are lacking with this company and owner And I wish I could say that was the only issue Issues with ground prep and the scheduler were also problematic Be careful you are not sold a bill of goods that this owner has no intention of following through with

Have been a customer of Ambassador Pools for 25 years Exceptional knowledge and service most recently when my pump inlet was blocked They lent me a submerged pump and told me how to clear the blockage It worked first time Great firm

Mike at Ambassador Pools is a real asset to the company He sold us our pool at a reasonable price He is so pleasant to deal with and is very customer focused He helped with advice on how to set it up our pool what system to use Filtration pump Heating as well as what chemicals to use He helped to source items which would have meant that our pool would not be operational without it Mike is great Ambassador pools is great and I will not be shopping anywhere else for my pool needs
