We used Assent for our new kitchen extension which was not straight forward for our builder who did an excellent job Assent came out quickly to access the work gave positive instructions when needed to the builder or to us they made the process easy and straight forward would highly recommend to family and friends

Extremely poor service and outright

Extremely poor service and outright dishonest practices We paid over 500 for a building control services however after the first inspection the office servicing is had closed We were no longer able to receive the inspections we needed and as such cancelled the service This was at the beginning of August Since then I have emailed numerous times requesting a refund to no avail It is interesting to note the company does not have a customer service desk which I guess should tell you everything you need about it

This company should absolutely be taken for a class action lawsuit After shoddy inspections and changed expectations the inspector quit they closed our case after we were unable to get ahold of anyone and the staff at head office are unwilling to give us our lust of completed works We paid them 1300 for building regulations just to be left with works that were reviewed and zero proof AVOID like the plague Head office was extremely rude and hung up on me

Disgusting corrupt company with crooked inspectors looking for money at each and every stage of the project not he initial 1400 pounds but unofficial cash payments I have reported them to the police and their regulatory body Do not use them

Avoid this company at all costs They have cancelled our new build house inspections and not even had the decency to tell us Building inspector himself was great and told us he had no idea what was going on either It should be illegal what they are doing Taken our money and abandoned us They don t even deserve one star but no other option

AVOID AT ALL COSTS If I could give a minus number for a review i would This company was dealing with my building regs The guy came out as he should to sign the stages off When it came to completion I was informed he d left the company and it turned out that no information had been passed back to the office I was eventually told they were cancelling the contract and they also informed the council of this and I then got a notice from the council for carrying out unauthorised works Long story short I then had to pay the council to do the regs and are currently in the process of ripping my house to bits at great expense to satisfy the council that everything has been done correctly This is involving digging down to the foundations exposing internal brick work to prove ties have been used and the cavity and insulation is correct taking plaster off rsj s and getting a structural report done on said steel work and bearings All in all a massive nightmare and I ll be glad when it s over and i can sleep again This has been going on since 2021 I hasten to add Appalling company I would love to get together with other people who have had similar experiences and take legal action against them as a group

I would give 0 stars if I could My building project finished 6 months ago and no building control approval certificate has been provided I have chased repeatedly I ve been told the team are very busy well then don t take on new clients if you can t handle your existing workload The Wivelsfield office mostly ignores my calls emails and keeps promising to send the certificate but I ve now been waiting months It s affected my remortgage I would AVOID this company at all costs and judging by the other reviews I am not alone
