Common sense doesn t exist at Atrium

This is the end of April 2023 and I have been working on getting replacement glass from Atrium Windows since the first weekend of October of last year Atrium wasn t responding to the local distributor at all This is the second time I m having to replace the Insulated Glass in my Atrium made transom windows The house was built in 2006 2007 I had to replace the glass in 2015 due to seal leaks but Atrium only covered one with their warranty I got some BS story about why they would replace all three under the warranty However after what I had to go through for almost a month to track down an Atrium Windows contact and an Atrium Windows distributor in my area I was happy to pay for the other two They were still relatively affordable at the time After all that Atrium built them separately and sent them one at a time So I received two different grid patterns within the windows I didn t understand why the difference I was just happy to have non-fogging windows again One of the windows was far enough away from the other two that it wasn t that noticeable It still bothered me I had provided Atrium and their local distributor with the original order numbers from the original installation as I took pictures of all the stickers on the windows when they were installed This time when attempting to order new ones I provided all the same info along with the replacement shipping documents for one of the window order numbers from the first replacement glass order in hopes of a better result As I stated Atrium wasn t responding to the local distributor At the end of February I d had enough and wrote a letter to Atrium through their customer service site Mid-March I received an email stating a case number was assigned to my concerns Finally I got a reply from a real person and thought we had made some real progress I was sent a quote for what I thought was the glass replacement and told to present it to the local distributor Since this was a special order I was made to pay the full ridiculously expensive price up front It was more than four times the cost of the 2015 replacement glass units Yesterday April 18 2023 I was called to pick up my order I had the boxes opened on the docks to verify the measurement of what I thought I ordered only to find out they sent the whole transom frame with the glass installed WT I can t return them they re special order windows This is the dumbest thing I ve ever witnessed Common sense is completely gone And that s saying something after twenty years in the Marine Corps and another fifteen in Civil Service in support of the Marine Corps How do you replace one part of a three window assembled unit without destroying something else on the front of my house These transoms sit mounted on top of two other double sash windows and were installed as one assembled unit So now instead of finding a company that can replace just the glass part of the transom like before I have to find a company that can remove the whole window unit disassemble the unit to remove the transom section reattach the transom section and reinstall the whole assembly without destroying everything surrounding the window in the process I m sure Atrium will say something like there was a miscommunication or a language term barrier No matter what I m the one left holding the bag Thanks Atrium Next time I ll just order new windows from another company

RUN AWAY - FAR FAR AWAY FROM ATRIUM WINDOWS AND DOORS Exorbitantly expensive for absolute JUNK - dug up from a dumpsite not worthy of installing in an outhouse in a baron desert in the middle of an ocean where no human will ever venture 3rd world production on the worst possible product ever Cheap cheap cheap indescribably cheap product Window s door s will not be square or plum or level with itself its frame its sashes Will Arrive with Broken slide rails which are also unrepairable cheap vinyl Locking will cause the vinyl brace which secures the lock to rise up The sash window will bypass the fixed window tray which it is supposed to lock into - leaving your inside vulnerable to the outside weather and worse - unsafe Your Atrium rep your local Atrium business person will make every promise known to man up-front to take your hard-earned money and EVERY excuse imaginable - and some unimaginable to avoid any ethical replacement of poorly manufactured and poorly installed windows AND doors Installers who they admittedly again after-the-fact hire off the street with zero experience are inept at best and completely incoherently incompetent You may as well install cardboard At least the price of cardboard is commensurate with the quality Atrium will tell you after they ve installed bad product a sob story about Covid being the issue and how hard it is for the manufacturing facility to hire decent labor or keep labor due to Biden paying people to not work Of course they ll tell you all of this AFTER THEY relieve you of YOUR MONEY and AFTER a long overdue delivery date has passed and AFTER BAD PRODUCT is installed in your home They ll tell you this sob story as a sorry excuse for the BAD manufacture They hope you ll just swallow that line of manure allowing them to become the victim of their own design - and move along stripped of your money for trash product

Nonexistent Customer Service No Warranty Support

Repeated attempts to contact Atrium Windows Doors via their toll-free number website email and direct calls to their field support representative have yielded no results with respect to my warranty claim Water is pooling on the inner lower sill of one of my windows Mold is forming Algae is growing I first reported this issue on 22 August 2022 I have called more than a dozen times I have been hung up on and sent text messages that the field support rep simply won t be able to inspect the window I have filled out the contact form on Atrium Windows Doors website but received no response I purchased Atrium Windows Doors partly due to their warranty and reputation for standing behind their windows They have not As a consumer I have exerted tremendous effort and considerable time simply trying to have someone deal with is clearly a manufacturing issue Atrium Windows Doors has stonewalled my attempts to resolve this issue amicably

Worst experience with any business anywhere We ordered two windows thru Lowes com and one arrived faulty It was not shipping damage but shoddy manufacturing Six months later and we ARE STILL WAITING for this company to do the right thing and to replace a sash on one of the windows We have been promised no less than EIGHT times that the sash would arrive at our local store only to find out that we d been lied to AGAIN These are deceitful dishonest business people who put out second rate products and are not to be trusted We have eight more windows to replace and will not be doing business with these charlatans again They are not at all trustworthy I don t even hold out hope on the alleged warranties on the windows- Atrium has shown us their true colors so buyers beware

Faulty Product and Horrible Customer Service

I bought my windows from Lowe s but now Lowe s has stopped selling them because the product is so shoddy I ve only had my windows for 5 years and have had to replace 3 window sashes because the gas seal broke The company won t even talk to the customer When I tried the customer service rep hung up on me So the customer has to contact Lowe s and Lowe s has to make the request for a warranty claim on the customers behalf Then Atrium won t send the replacement parts to directly to the customer They send them to Lowe s store and the customer has to pick them up Buyer beware if you purchase any Atrium products windows or doors

Bought reliabilt windows made by atrium through Lowes When the seals failed I was sent to Atrium for a warranty replacement Their customer service is horrible Eventually had to go back to Lowes to get them to make Atrium honor their warranty Will never buy their products again

ATRIUM SENT WRONG WINDOW

July 1 2022 I just waited 5 months for 4 windows One window is a slider but was sent the wrong width The factory order from Lowes is clearly correct but Atrium sent one 4 inches too long Im being told that the window has to be reordered and that i will be put at the back of the line Another 5 months Lowes should find another vendor Definitely demand that Lowes pay interest on the money they are holding for 5-6 monthsI UNDERSTAND THE PROBLEMS WINDOW COMPANIES ARE HAVING ON DELAYS IF THEY CAN EXPEDITE THE WINDOW I LL UPGRADE MY REVIEW The ones installed today look top notch
