Took out a course of construction policy for our new build last year Forgot to renew on date of deadline as away on holidays on the said date Rang back a few days later to Renew policy and they wouldn t insure We had no claims Joke of an company

I received an email on Friday 7 9 2024
I received an email on Friday 7 9 2024 telling me a claim had been settled against me I went online to the chat to someone and that I wanted to dispute the claim and wanted all paperwork as regards to the claim after nearly 2 hours on chat it was escalated to a team leader who would get someone to call me to discuss this problem I was told they would ring that day but I have not got any call as yet today sunday after nearly 2 hours again trying to get someone on the phone I finally got one at customer services who informed me that she does not deal with claims but she would put a note on my policy to apologise and ring me to tell me what was going on I asked her is the live chat recorded so as it can be referred back to I was told it is not recorded only telephone calls are I said to her that s convenient to which she replied I can only apologise I do no think I will be getting a call back but I will not let it lie there no way would I ever insure with this mob again they are abysmal everything is done behind your back with no communication with a live person live chat is abysmal as well keep saying I do not understand your question a monkey at the zoo could do a better job if I don t get a reply by tomorrow I will be lodging a complaint with the motor insurance bureau and the ombudsman

App not user friendly
I am a loyal customer of 6years I am 60 years of age and have little experience of technology We have house insurance and my husband has his car policy with you also Got my renewal on line What a nightmare Not very user friendly Absolutely discrimination against people that are not able to use your over complicated app I will now have to ring your company tomorrow hope I will not be discriminated against and loose my 10 discount as your app is not very user friendly

I wish I could give negative stars
I wish I could give negative stars my brother had house and car insurance with this company and they cancelled his insurance immediately and wouldn t allow us to convert to a policy in the estate of after he passed away even though every insurance agent we spoke with said that should have been allowed Nothing like kicking a family when they are down with an unexpected death Do not use this company

They would not give a quote for new
They would not give a quote for new insurance on my car I was with them for five years No accidents No claims No pelenty points never had a car recovered for a breakdown never claimed for a windscreen They could not give a reason as to why they can t give a quote All I got was that the underwriter has declined to provide a quote I find the whole situation very strange I will not do business with them every again

Outsourcing kills customers
I took out a car insurance this morning with Aviva however after needing to call their customer service 3x and having to talk 3x to 3 different agents who spoke English with the most difficult to understand India-English I decided to cancel instantly and make a new insurance deal elsewhere because I need to actually understand what the other person on the line is saying to me I pride myself on my level of English and I have no issue with whom I talk to on the phone but when I call a customer service I want to be able to understand the person giving me the service Outsourcing your customer service without checking if the new location actually has proper speaking English employees will cost your company a tremendous amount of loyal and certainly potential new customers An accent is fine but talking to a customer service agent that speaks horrible English with on the background hearing 10 other agents talking just is a big sign of cutting down on the wrong costs and gives a very bad first impression
