As per the other poster re Avon Cooper tyres My situation is almost identical See extract from my emails and how they have fobbed me off On my opinion this company deserves what s coming to them Dear AvonBought my Renault megane 2019 second hand These Avon tyres were already fitted to the front of the vehicle so I have no redress on the original tyre fitter Today a major tyre fitter looked at my tyres and said they are cracking The tyres were apparently only manufactured in 2019 I am disappointed that these tyres are cracking What is the warranty guarantee on your tyres please It is very distressing to have to replace tyres that are only approximately 5 years old Would you be able to give me 2 new tyres foc or a big discount of say 50 75 from yourselves direct to me These would obviously be fitted by your nominated tyre fitter in Lowestoft Suffolk I am a pensioner and have only a state pension to rely on for my income Your kind assistance would be appreciated in this regard Many thanks Regards Martin Foster Response below Good Afternoon Mr Foster Thank you for contacting Avon Tyres with your enquiry Our passenger products are covered by our standard limited warranty to the original purchaser for a period of 6 calendar years from the date of manufacture and are warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship in this term Once the term of warranty is expired all warranties express or implied expire Proof of purchase is required for any warranty claim and the benefits of this warranty are non-transferrable Given that you are not the original purchaser of the tyres we are unfortunately not in a position to process the claim We would also suggest that you contact the vehicle seller to see if they are willing to come to some resolution in respect of your issue with the tyres as sold to you Kind regards LadrickTechnical Service TeamMy response Dear Shirley Ladrick I see I have not had a reply response to my reasonable request I feel I have no option left to me but to report this matter to the government and put postings on Trustpilot etc Obviously will not be a good review unfortunately This will be done on Monday this coming week Regards Martin To date no response from Avon Cooper tyres USELESS IN MY OPINION DO NOT NOT BUY AVON TYRES COOPER TYRES

Cracking inside the Tread

A set of Avon ZX7 fitted to my Audi Q7 on 6th October 2021 Have now completed 6487 miles to date of 12th March 2023 The fault with the tyes is cracking inside the tread These tyres were bought because of their reported low noise and otherwise good performance The general performance and noise levels experianced has been good If not for the cracking I would deffinately buy these again however due to the premature cracking this does not give me confidence in the tyre Therefore I do not recommend them and will not be buying them again unless the company can give assurances and simplify the warranty process

Cracked Avon ZV7s

Bought a pair of Avon ZV7s 14 months 8k miles ago and they ve cracked perished inside the treads already Not what I d expected from a brand with such strong racing pedigree Not deemed fit for purpose any more a costly mistake I made purchasing these

Avon ZV7 tyres - buyer beware - lasted 2000 miles

Avon ZV7 tyresLasted about 2000 miles before the centre of the tread was half 4mm compared to the outers 7-8mm Suggests overinflation however tyres were always set to Ford manufacturer recommended pressures and checked every 2 weeks Tyres sent back to Avon to be told that no manufacturing fault was found Awful tyres buyer beware I certainly won t be buying again after not even a goodwill gesture considering how much out of pocket I was because of their unfit for sale product Seems as though many others have had similar issues

Do not buy

Have for many years purchased Avon tyres and have been very happy with them however as others have reported Avon ZV7 tyres are no longer manufactured in the UK All 4 fitted to my wife s SLK had an MOT advisory for cracking after only 18 months and 3000 miles Will not be buying this brand ever again

Avon ZV7 tyres RUBBISH

Purchased 2 new Avon ZV7 tyres 19 months ago only done 12000 miles and they re worn out DO NOT BUY AVON TYRES RUBBISH

Shockingly bad quality Avon ZV7s cracking

Like tons of others my Avon ZV7 s cracked after 12 months and only a few thousand miles on the car Flagged by mot guy and on inspection the cracking in the valley of the tread on all four tyres of similar age was terrible Literally looked like the tyre would have split in two Shocking I ve got to spend another 500 on going back to Dunlops SP1s Had all sorts of handling issues on my bmw x3 with the avons On going back to Dunlop issues disappeared immediately I d say the tyres were just too thin and rolled far too much on cornering should add I don t thrash the car just normal every day driving What a massive costly mistake to trust a once great brand Like others have said they ve lost a customer for life Should automatically refund everyone who purchased these not-fit-for-purpose tyres

Avon ZV7 tyres cracking around the tread

I puchased a used car with new Avon ZV7 tyres on the front wheels I had to throw them away with 7mm of tread remaining after 5000 miles because of cracking around the tread As I wasn t the original puchaser Avon refused to look into the matter

Avon AS7 tyres

I have driven only 5000 miles on these Avon AS7 tyres and already they are cracking and the tread is peeling The MOT tester and several garages have all said that Avon tyres are complete rubbish and I totally agree and will never buy them again I hope that this review will save someone else from making the same mistake
