Avoid like the plague - uninterested in happy customers
We were booked in for Bear Grylls and at late notice a guessed needed to change We asked to swap 1 of our activity s so both guests could do the same thing This seemed reasonable as we are travelling 4 hours to do it and having already checked online to ensure there was space on the alternative activity I couldn t see why this would be an issue we simply needed to swap one of the activities Bear Grylls customer service team refused and said once a booking is made they refuse to be able to amend it I was disgusted at the lack of customer service shown they didn t make any effort to sort it Shocking company wouldn t ever wish to deal with again customer service was abysmal How could such a simple request be so hard when they weren t even booked out in the other activity Cost nothing to amend the booking and have a happy customer Be very careful

Very poor customer service
Tried to book activities using Merlin Gold Card 2 months in advance The activities were all available to book online but wouldn t allow booking with gold cards There was no availability for any activities through July August and most of September for gold card bookings Bought 4 Merlin Gold Cards for my family which cost nearly 900 I am very disappointed that there are such restrictions on booking with these cards Customer services were unhelpful and dismissive when I asked how I could book tickets Very poor

Experience is great but good god the website is the absolute worst 2 years ive tried with a merlin card to book and it has NEVER worked What a shame to miss out because the digital team is such a shower of Please sort it out

You just cant book with merlin cards
You just can book with merlin cards - no one answers the phone you just can book Experiences and service when there is good but the website and booking experience is just not worth the heartache

Not for some single parents
Not for some single parents even if you try Overzealous general center supervision rules mean that any one under 16 must be 100 supervised including the cafe etc etc That s workable most the time however in shooting activity an adult can only supervise 2 so if your single and have 3 kids your screwed 1st they tried cancel all 4 of us on the activity So I got creative and offered to send one or two out at a time exchanging them No Then offered to send out my 13year out of the activity but that wasn t good enough for them he would be unsupervised so then I offered to send him off site he could wait in the car They didn t like that they sternly warned that NEC security staff might pick him up I had the impression they might even call NEC security tbh After they realised how OTT and unreasonable that seemed they had little choice just to accept it he was cast out They proceeded to watch him literally tracking him out comms over the radio and following him at a distance and then track back in the building later in the same fashion So rather than help they actually amplify the problems There behaviour was Odd an effort to safeguard became a draconian policy based power play The reality was that the efforts to track my son and the management involvement could of been used to find a solution to the problems They are very aware of the issues arround the shooting activity due to its capacity issue and obvious safety risk assessments my circumstances can t be unique or the first time and it clearly hasn t been escalated to consider appropriate resolutions only to expell from the building and grounds My kids did want to say the floor staff were ALL absolutely brilliant and they are right bar check-in staff and management Everyone went above and beyond they really did I also don t believe an apology was ever offered or made So seems like something potentially amazing just needs some tweaks in practical implementation In addition to this Merlin pass holders can only book one ticket so the single parent can not book twice to supervise their kids on the supervision ratio in-line with there policy Also when booking on the Merlin portal these supervision exclusions don t show

A great experience Thanks Ross and Paul
My son did the scuba dive for his 12th birthday He loves fish but has never dived before I couldn t afford 2 tickets so he had to go in by himself The team took such great care of him and reassured me throughout My son absolutely loved it and would do it again Huge thank you to Paul and Ross I do feel that they went above and beyond-knowledgeable helpful patient and friendly Although pricey I can see why as there were 2 trainers on the dive all the equipment etc It was well worth it to see my son have a great time Paul even found him a shark s tooth Now a treasured possession

Had a fantastic time - thank you to staff Kenzie Elise Kyle and Connor axe throwing
Had a fantastic time brought tickets for my partners birthday Staff were incredible to be honest especially Kenzie Elise Kyle and Connor on the axe They were so much fun and made the day eventful They articulated themselves well had so much patience with us Especially me lol So much fun will definitely be returning Axe throwing archery and climbing are the activities we did

Amazing Shark Dive with Ollie and Dave
Absolutely gutted this is closing but so glad I got to experience the Shark dive today Ollie and Dave were amazing hosts and made sure we were looked after and made us feel safe and secure both in and out of the water Getting to see the sharks and the big boy shark too was a bonus Such a shame it s closing Thank you Ollie and Dave
