GARBAGE BANK

I had issues with this bank every time I tried to send money Zelle didn t work and put a hold on my profile Had to stay on hold with customer service to remove it Wire transfers take a day and you have to call you can t do it online More than 1 hour wait each time Moving money from my account at BECU to my other bank account at another bank also got me an immediate hold on my profile for absolutely no good reason Another 1 hour wait with customer service to get it done

If there s a half star rating for this credit union that s what they deserve WORST service ever and they mostly work remotely from home so their customer service is totally zero They have a nerve to continue charging me for their so-called voluntary protection on the credit card that they unexpectedly suspended Never default and always paid on on time HTF are you charging me 10 per month for the last 12 years and still continue charging me now I want all my money back It s a SCAM

becu violating law on debt reporting

Had a joint loan with BECU with my ex on an RV Divorce papers stated my ex was supposed to keep the rv but he never refinanced RV loan was defaulted by my ex and it s now on my credit report BECU is continuously reporting this same loan under different account numbers to the credit bureau constantly tanking my credit score by 90pts I ve finally had it removed recently and BECU resubmitted it again as a new account It is against the law to report the same debt twice The loan was not sold or transferred It s the same exact loan closed account That is u lawful and must be removed First time I can see it was possibly a mistake but this is now the second time after I just had it removed Unscrupulous practices violate FAIR DEBT COLLECTION practices and violate law on FAIR CREDIT ACT Do not do business with them at all costs

Find another bank BECU is terrible

We used BECU for our business banking and had nothing but issues If you love going to a bank and waiting in line for hours then BECU is your bank If you want your banking online find another bank The processes they ve established nearly always force you to contact support and even led me into the bank on multiple occasions Simply things like wire transfers check deposits and withdrawals had me at their physical branch for hours You re not wrong to say but all these features are in their online banking app True but what you may not see is the red tape required to jump through the hurdles of using these features Just stay away There are HUNDREDS of banking solutions out there We chose Mercury and it has been a breath of fresh air I hope BECU is able to see the plethora of one star reviews on here and make some changes

Designed to take your money

How does a bank get away with being so garbage BOTH the android and ios apps show inconsistencies in transactions amounts and account balances between the desktop website Why do I have to pay a 25 fee every time a 5 ACH transaction doesn t go through one day before I get paid This happens way too often and should be a crime Moving to something that doesn t charge me for not having money

Completely disorganized and unprofessional

Sent me a link to review the mortgage loan app that i just submitted but the link doesn t work I emailed them 3 days ago about this issue and have not received any type of reply On my other mortgage loan w becu they somehow manage to lose my mortgage payment every 12-18 months which is completely unacceptable and frustrating when i pay online every month on the 25th i ve changed nothing on my end They received all my other payments before and after the missing payment so either someone becu is fraudulent or they are straight up sucky as a financial institution borderline amateurs

Terrible app experience

Their web and mobile app is constantly down If you re traveling abroad and need to transfer funds or check your accounts what can you do It very unfortunate as I prefer to support credit unions but this bank cannot be reliable if your traveling abroad or need help with your account

BECU - The downward spiral to the bottom

BECU - the downhill descent continues Randomly heard notice that my account was flagged for fraud since I made an online purchase in AZ No phone call or text just deactivated cards on my primary checking account The security team tried to unblock and basically everything was frozen for weeks They didn t know what was going on and asked to get a whole new card and redo all my automatic payments This caused me to leave BECU after 10 years Do yourself a favor and save your time by going elsewhere Huge disappointment and bad customer service overall

Don t do banking or loans from them No online payment methods whatsoever they aribtraily pick and choose if you can or not So you MUST use their phone system 30 minutes each stinking time and it s an additional 5 each time or deposit money in their banks to pay from there Outdated everything and sneaky ways to make money from you

Poor customer service overall

Customer service has gone down over the years I am a loyal customer with several accounts Things like shutting off all my main bank account without letting me know freezing my accounts have become the norm Calling their phone number results in long wait times and I think they re experimenting with outsourcing Not to mention large overdraft fees Sorry lost a customer Too little too late
