Although I have been retired from library work for many years I retain the childlike enthusiasm for the presence of new or well-kept books and when I m looking for something a bit more literary than usual I often wind up going to Biblio where the volumes are more fully and accurately described When I m looking for a particular title and it s listed as like new or even very good or whatever the equivalent is I have never been disappointed I do always look for satisfaction ratings of 4 1 2 to 5 and that helps Of course there s the advantage of buying from book dealers and others who seem to take pleasure in the minutiae of bibliographic nomenclature As for prices several times I have seen prices for an out-of-print or scarce volume on the usual popular websites and they are often unrealistically high however I m usually able to find a copy on Biblio that is in better shape and at a far lower price
