Darren is absolutely amazing and comes highly recommended I am in my mid 30s and had only attempted to cycle twice before I met Darren After the end of the session I was able to successfully cycle and it was great having Darren there to help me along the way He breaks cycling down into several manageable stages and is very clear on what to expect and even knows what s going through your mind to prepare you for the stage If you are new to cycling and want to learn or a bit rusty don t hesitate to see Darren you won t regret it

Fantastic Experience

I booked a lesson with Darren to get comfortable on a bike again after not having ridden one for many years and I could not have asked for a better experience Darren did a great job of patiently guiding me through the process step by step and we ended up going for a great ride through two parks and even went on the road for a bit I had fun during my lesson too because he was so easy to talk to I d highly recommend bike happy to anyone looking to get comfortable cycling

Out of this world service

Darren was amazing in helping me to gain confidence cycling in traffic Before our session I was very excited and scared at the same time as I have never cycled in traffic His calm manner and positive approach put me at ease He showed me some scenic route in Epping Forest and I was over the moon cycling in nature I wish I had found him earlier

Highly recommend Bike Happy s courses for kids

The Bike Happy learn-to-ride course for my 5-year-old daughter was a total success Darren s calm kind and fun manner meant she was raring to go each day and clearly trusted him fully They made fast progress each session meaning that after the 3 x 45 minute sessions she had gone from a very cautious rider with stabilisers to a confident rider without She continues to talk about what she learnt with Darren and wants to sign up to another of his courses From my point of view Darren was so helpful in our communications and kindly helped us choose the perfect bike for our daughter to learn on at the very last minute Nothing seemed too much trouble and he seemed to genuinely care that each of his students - and their families - got the best experience possible I d highly recommend this to anyone considering a course with Bike Happy

Darren was absolutely brilliant Lovely chap made me feel completely ease but also very professional Within 45 minutes I was riding unaided and by the end of the session I was almost taking it for granted - I couldn t have imagined I d make such progress in such a short space of time I d recommend him to anyone without a moment s hesitation

Bikehappy and Darren are the absolute best

Darren is the kindest and most patient instructor you could ever have when wanting to learn how to ride a bike I m 25 and was petrified to ride a bike for the first time but Darren was immediately so reassuring and kind It s like learning to ride from a great friend I d recommend bikehappy to everyone who wants to learn up skill themselves in riding a bike And I m grateful to have met and gotten to know Darren a very wonderful friendly instructor Thanks Darren I m now locking in a bike tour through the tulip fields in Amsterdam

Fantastic experience

It was a super experience especially on a morning it has been snowing for days on It turned out to be an extremely rewarding day considering it was cold minus 3-5 degrees when we started in the morning But after the exercise that Darren carefully planned to do within 15 minutes I felt as if it was a nice Spring day The whole experience was surreal doing something I so wished to do for many years and managed to do in my 50s Thank you Darren for your patience

Even 5 stars do not do Darren justice

I had read all the wonderful reviews of Darren before I did the class and still didn t believe I would ever be able to get on a bike but I was completely wrong Darren achieved the impossible - he was so kind enthusiastic and patient and I made more progress in a couple of hours than I ever thought I would I highly recommend his service to anyone who is determined to learn to ride a bike

Exhilarating

I wanted to to ride a bike before the age of 40 after many attempts and some epic fails I was convinced I couldn t do it Darren listened to my concerns and took his time to explain the golden rules of riding a bike Darren s calm demeanour knowledge and encouragement had me balancing and riding a bike within 15 minutes After 2 5 hours I felt exhilarated and now can t wait to get a bike of my own I am truly thankful for the training session and would recommend Darren to anyone who wants to learn to ride a bike or learn new skills
