I took my first exam based on books google notes and failed A friend mentioned Black Spectacles so I thought why not Lectures are a great starting point but you should study up more and I LOVE the practice exams They look JUST like the real thing and helps me get mentally prepared for test day I ve subscribed before my last 4 exams and passed them all on the first try I ll be using Black Spectacles for me last 2 Recommend it

Black Spectacles lectures sample testing quizes and longer sample tests are really helpfull to understand all diffrent topics for all 6 ARE exams Happy studies

I d recommend the Black Spectacles ARE exam prep system to anyone who is looking for a study system to prepare for the ARE I used all the available tools and passed my 2 remaining exams on my first attempt after going through everything that was available

Black Spectacles well worth the investment

Black Spectacles is fantastic and was a major major help in getting me through 5 of the 6 exams I have one left to go Black Spectacles and the primary sources listed in the Ncarb ARE handbook are the only things I used to study The videos were a great clarifier in the material you ll be tested on I highly recommend investing in the Premium access for the practice exams - they imitate the very format of the ncarb exam I took them over and and over again to practice Many of the questions were near or almost the same what I was tested in When signing up it was hard at first to justify the membership cost However given the exams are 235 each not passing one is the equivalent of 1 5 months of B Specs Well worth it and also well worth feeling that there was support in navigating very challenging and mystifying licensure exams

I am a Visual Learner

I really struggled with studying for the ARE exams because I am a visual learner Sometimes when I read it goes in one ear and out the other So when I heard about Black Spectacles I was eager to try it out because of the videos Watching the videos gave me the foundation that I needed to then go back to my reading material and really understand what I was seeing Along with the video s the practice exams feel very accurate to what you can expect to see on the exams They really helped me come up with a plan of attack when it came to test day It was also good to see feedback on a question I got wrong so I can go back to the material and get a better idea of what I needed to focus on Overall I was very happy with my experience with Black Spectacles and would highly recommend them
