Irresponsible case handling
Please anyone trying to use this Insurance this Blue Cross or Can Assistance as you Travel Insurance DO NOT book with these I booked in Sept 2023 travel insurances which included lost baggage and flight delays I submitted forms online multiple times sent emails 17th times and even mailed copies of every information they asked of You will get a chatbot message Case manager from CanAssistance will be in touch Case manager assigned was Franco To save time money and stress I suggest not to book with these scam companies

33 years of working and this is my payback
33 years of working and my union sets up Blue Cross for my extended health plan Which I pay dearly for every month So I get a pair of orthotics and send in my paperwork and claim 2 weeks later I get an email that states My claim has been processed I can go online and check Make sure all info is correct Payment can take up to 3 days So I go online and check Amount 0 Eligible 0 OMGOSH What s going on I check all the required documents Yes they are there I phone Blue Cross I wait on hold I am agitated I am stressed Its money I require Finally I speak to a person who works from home Tells me my claim has gone to another department to determine if its covered but it should be because everything is there So why the email I ask Why does it say it has been processed He says that he doesn t know why but it is probably just automated But they are behind and it now takes up to 36 working days to process claims Are you kidding me So i get an email that says it has been done I get stressed because I do not know why it is not eligible and I phone and you tell me this 36 WORKING days Is this because you work remotely and can put in the laundry Take your dog for a walk take your kids to school Go to the corner store This is ridiculous I pay for your service You are behind because we just wasted half an hour of my time and your time Because the right hand doesn t know what the left is doing So now my anger is at the top No supervisor to talk to because its not like they can walk down the hall and speak to someone to ask to calm down a customer Nope I am on a call back list What is wrong with this picture

Disappointed on refusal of payment coverage
I received a lesser strength dose of DIN 02536137 Blue Cross previously covered a stronger dose but due to long term effects of taking this medication we have been able to get treatment with lower dose with same results NOW Blue Cross will not cover the prescription due to the lower strength Ridiculous My doctor gave me a prescription for DIN 0052151 which is obviously necessary or would not be prescribed Now the prescription isn t enough I have to get a Dr s note filled out to apply for coverage More cost for doctor to fill out form This too makes no sense Why would a Dr provide a prescript if it wasn t necessary

I m unable to reach BLue Cross travel assistance - their hold times are unbearable once your policy is issued Don t go with blue cross - terrible customer experience I m typing this out as I m waiting on hold for 60 minutes - I ll never renew or get any blue cross policies again Terrible customer experience

Wasted my time for 4 months - Don t choose Blue Cross
I thought Blue Cross would be a professional solution for my health insurance needs I was completely wrong At the beginning it all seemed well Documentation was clear the employee that took care of my case was very polite and responded all of my questions I filled in the forms and everything sounded good But then I had no news A month passed I asked what was the state of my demand as I would still need to wait 6 months of waiting time in addition to my demand being accepted for some reimbursements I was answered I m going to check Then no answer Another mail from me was followed by It seems there s a problem with your case I m going to check And then no answer since then It s been 4 months They don t even respond to my emails now I don t have a particular profile I m young I don t have any particular health issue I don t have a criminal record It just seems like they re not capable of processing a simple demand or to even inform you of what might be an issue So thanks to Blue Cross I ve been un-insured for 4 months and have to restart the entire process with another company Huge waste of time and extremely un-professional from them My advice Don t waste your time with them as I ded
